The room entrance to the pool

disappointment regarding an extremely uncomfortable and unacceptable experience during my recent stay at the Hilton Houston Post Oak hotel from Thursday, June 19 to Friday, June 20. Upon returning to my room on the evening of the 19th, I found a notice slipped under my door stating that there would be no running water at the hotel. This was very alarming, as I had not received any prior notification of this major inconvenience. I had to immediately rush to take a shower and attempt to make myself as comfortable as possible under the circumstances. Unfortunately, the situation only got worse the following morning (Friday, June 20). At 8:30 a.m., there was still no running water, and now the air conditioning had also stopped working. I was left with no means to shower, use the restroom, or cool down in my room. The front desk informed me that service would resume by 5:00 p.m., but this did not happen. I followed up again at 6:00 p.m. and was told everything should be working—but by 7:00 p.m., there were still no improvements. Adding to the discomfort, the mini-refrigerator in the room had a faulty seal that wouldn’t close properly. This caused the insulin belonging to my guest (a diabetic) to spoil, which posed a serious health risk and further added to the distress of our stay. Due to these ongoing issues, I missed several important engagements and was forced to remain at the hotel with no access to basic facilities. It wasn’t until after expressing my frustration multiple times that I was finally transferred to a sister property, the Hilton Americas Downtown. While that location was far more accommodating, the damage to my overall experience had already been done.

I loved the location, the staff, and having pool access. The pool area is amazing. I did use the fitness room, very nice. This hotel is a very happy place everyone even the guests were just happy people.

I would suggest a little more attention from the cleaning staff.

The location was great. The room opened to the pool and was large. We liked that the shower was separate from the vanity area. We did not hear the neighbors.

The AC was super loud and startled us every time it kicked in. The smoked detectors kept flashing green which was super annoying. The door to the patio, pool access was very hard to open and loud. It most likely needs new casters. One of the bed, closest to the window was super lumpy.

A microwave would have been very helpful. A map of the two mile limo service area would have helped.

I love the view the location. The staff was incredible.

I had found a bloody bogger on the bathroom wall when I first walked in to the room. I also had the problem of leaving my room before checkout time and when I got back to my room they had cleaned the room out and took my stuff that I had to hunt down my stuff.

The staff manager on Night Shift name Jackie was very rude, impatient and passive aggressive. A lot of the guest smell like weed in the room next-door to mine smelled like weed. The parking was not free, which was not disclosed in the booking. The bedsheet was stained. The toilet paper roll holder was about to fall off the wall. This place marks up their prices due to the convenience of the area.

I didn't like that it is supposed to be a pet friendly hotel and we got complaints about our dogs barking after 10 mins of arriving and it was not late at night and it was not that big of an issue, they barely barked a couple of times. They also do not explain anything to you about the parking situation or that you have to pay for parking at the front desk and not at the parking garage, so I was overcharged at the parking garage and then told after the fact that I was supposed to pay for parking at the front desk. Why was that not mentioned to me or why was I not asked about paying for parking when I was checking into the hotel? It was just not a great experience, not good communication to a guest who had never been there before (and I told them it was our first time) and we only needed a place to sleep for one night because we were having something done to our house and could not stay in it overnight.
