I liked the view, the pool, the gym, and the whole facility. The valley parking was expensive but was very convenient for my family because I had small kids, so I liked that service and they were very professional.
They put fridges in rooms as kiosk to sell you everything inside. You can't even put your own things inside the fridge and get charged for moving anything in that fridge. At check out, I disputed those extra charges cause I did not use anything in that fridge, and thank God they were all removed.

parking cost in the hotel was 67$ but we discovered that there is parking outside for 10$

Some of the staff were so unhelpful. The concierge did not want to assist anyone and upon asking the location of reception on arrival I was sent by a bored/harassed member of staff to left luggage. WI spent two days trying to locate a delivered package...the concierge sent me walking all the way around the building to the office, which was closed. I had a large suitcase..he couldn't store for me while I went and I was now quite anxious as I needed to get to the airport. Constantly misadvised, ignored and treated with disdain. I eventually came across a good member of staff who helped me. I wish I had taken her name. As part of our resort fee we were given drinks vouchers but I could not use mine as they didn't appear to serve any beverages at the main bar which were non alcoholic. The lift system means you have to take a lift to the 70th floor and then take a different lift either to your room or to the lower lobby to leave. Three elevator rides every time you wish to leave or return to the hotel. Also the surrounding area is a little intimidating with angry homeless who are not to blame but not nice for a lone female...streets smell of wee and well, the pavements are their toilet. My first ever bad review and it wouldn't have happened but for some terrible staff members, several requests for a review...and the elevator.

We did not like the hotel. The check-in is on the 50th floor, and it is difficult to find your way around the hotel. To get to the rooms you must go down to the 32nd floor in order to go through the elevators and get to your room. In the past we were at the Intercontinental which was located in a completely different place and we were very disappointed when we discovered this hotel.

The fact that it's in a skyscraper makes it really unique. Furthermore, the views of LA are incredible.
The staff in the reception treated me bad when the card I had been using in different airports for 24 hours declined. I immediately said that I had another card and paid with that one but since that moment the receptionist was really rude. In addition, even though the breakfast was "included" I had to pay the taxes and the tips of it.

- Location is good if you have courage to use LA subway...
- Always take a look at your credit card statement and never trust them. They overcharged extras to my credit card and thankfully, I checked my credit card statement and requested a refund. They should always look for guest approval by sending an invoice before charging anything to guest's credit card. Frankly, I would never trust this hotel and give my credit card.
- Scale in the room was not working (probably battery), I have called reception several times for fix. They promised that scale will be changed during my every call but they didn't. I am surprised that they didn't act on that despite several calls from my side.
- Safety box was out of battery as well but they changed it.
- Many things are broken (such as sunbeds), hotel maintenance is very poor and this is relatively a new hotel.
- Breakfast is way too expensive and especially price/performance is the worst. Variety of the food for the breakfast is one of the worst for this level of a hotel. They are charging extra for omlette and topping, I really don't know why because all ingredients like egg, milk etc. already at the buffet. If they are charging for chef's service fee but not ingredients then why are they charging for toppings. They even charge extra if you ask for Latte, Cappuccino etc.
-There is always a long queue in front of reception.
-Streets around hotels are not safe or at least I didn't feel safe at all.

Everyone was extremely friendly. We indulged on a margarita pizza in one of the restaurants and it was divine. The shirley temple was good as well and had a lot of grenadine which made me happy. The building is the tallest on the West Coast, and the views were unbeatable. Although we had a short stay at the hotel, it was incredible and we would have no hesitation to stay there again in the future.
I wish they didn’t lock the elevator floors after a certain time because even though the pool was closed I would have loved to just seen it to get a sense for what it was like.

The employees at registration were the best. I stay here at least 3-4 times a month. The girls are amazing. Shantel gives the best customer service I think I’ve ever had. She always makes me feel at home. You have a diamond right there. Definitely management material.
They would not let me have a late check out one of the times I was there. They sent security to my room and they waited there until I was out of the room. I was treated like a criminal and they couldn’t have been more rude
