The window had a film covering that made it hard to look out of. Breakfast looked expensive.

I was tired of traveling from a foreign country to LA, and my room had a bathtub. I was able to relax and enjoyed a hot bath during my stay at the Miyako Hotel. Thank you so much for the room with a bathtub, which I didn't request. I appreciate the Miyako Hotel. If I had the opportunity to revisit LA, I would stay at the Miyako Hotel again.

We loved the bidet and the fabulous shower. We loved that it was so clean and the Tokyo Village. The staff was very friendly and helpful when we asked about the bus line and the transportation to LAX.
Everything was great and I plan to take my family next year.

Really good location, with parking available. Loved the lobby with the cafe - great staff and amazing coffee and teas. Very nice front desk group. Felt very safe - lots of staff around and available.
I tried to book a room for a future date, but the hotel for some reason had that weekend blocked off. Then just one very expensive room was available for the time frame. Eventually the hotel released the blocked rooms but by that time I was committed to another hotel.

I was allowed to check in 1 hour early
Desk staff were very efficient.
It was kind of off putting to be told that the next morning between 6-7AM there would be NO electricity or water for testing purposes. I know they can't help it but it's not the kind of thing you want to be informed of as you are checking in.
Also, beds were too soft.

Clean, modern, stylish and wonderful staff. Every person there was cordial, polite and attentive. Our beds were very comfy, the bathroom was exceptional with a bidet, and the products were of spa quality. The hotel was beautiful and the location was perfect for us.

It is located right by the Japanese Village plaza about a min walk there. Also right by the Little Tokyo Shopping mall. There is a vending machine there with drinks, with Mac and cheese for kids and cup of noddles! Win for us with kids. Had two microwaves and toiletries you can buy. They have a coffee and pastry shop there that had a full line so Iโm sure it was delicious. We got to have parking literally right outside the hotel doors. The room had a great view of the street. It is super clean and comfy. Had a mini fridge, safe and nice bathroom with a bidet. I also loved the safety it has there with valet parking, security inside and you need hotel room key to go up the elevators or use the ground floor bathrooms.
The only down fall is if the parking is full you have to park in the little Tokyo public parking right beside them but it honestly didnโt look bad at all. The extra $50 for valet parking was definitely worth it.

They were so helpful in allowing me to drop off my bags when I arrived on a morning train at Union Station. And it was a perfect place to stay for my brief stop in LA. The staff were professional and friendly, and the hotel itself is super nice! I hope to stay there again sometime.

Location was great! It was right in the Little Tokyo. There was washer machine and dryer, which was very useful as I was traveling for more than a week.
As the hotel valet parking is not available until 11am in the morning, I had requested some guidance on the offsite parking before staying at the hotel, but the hotel was very rude on my question on the offsite parking.
On the other hand, the front desk staffs were very nice assisting me on any questions that I had while staying at the hotel.

I had a leak in the toilet, but the staff immediately gave me a new room with an upgrade. I always love the toilets and book here specifically for them. The onsite bar with karaoke is hard to beat and the location is fantastic.
It would be nice if the staff prechecks rooms before booking guests into them. Maybe that would resolve the issue I had with the leaky toilet.

I asked if the staff could leave my husband's surprise birthday present in the hotel room, since he was checking into the room earlier than me. They accomodated and also left some cookies as a special treat for him! We don't get to spend money on hotels very often, so this gesture felt extra nice and I'm so thankful for the kind staff in making the arrangements!! The hotel's location is excellent, right in the heart of Japan town. This was the area my husband and I first got to know each other, ten years ago!

The room interior and furniture are a little bit too old, but it's well maintained. Their staffs are very nice and warm-welcoming. Location is pretty strategic, there are lots of Japanese restaurants nearby. Considering the price I paid for with these plus points, I think it's the best hotel choice you can get in the LA downtown area.

Luckily we got rooms that were overseeing the main street. It was so nice to see the nightlife from our room above. Very peaceful.
We loved that we were in a perfect location to eat at restaurants and grocery stores nearby or to just shop around. There's lots to do in little tokyo.
The staff was super friendly and helpful. We noticed on our first day, the hot water wasn't working in our room for some reason. They transfered us to a different room and the staff was very apologetic for any of the issues this might have caused. Rooms are minimalistic, zen and super comfy. I would love to stay there again!
Parking! They have a very tiny parking lot where its valet only. Why? Because they gotta fit as many cars as possible

I think the hotel is really good value for money. The rooms were clean, and the sheets, towels etc were all very clean and satisfactory. The window looked over a car park, and the rooms were very dark, which gave a little bit of a depressed feeling. But other than that, I thought it was value for money. The common microwave in the lobby was very useful. The staff were polite and helpful.
Though the decor of the rooms are dated and gives a very basic experience. If they updated the tables and the consoles for example - there would be a much better experience. The carpets in the corridors and the rooms have to be changed. Probably is the one thing that I did not find clean. The moment you get out of the lifts, you notice the carpets and some stains on the carpets. Luckily I bought my own slippers to wear in the rooms.

Appalling valet parking. Unknown damage to our car, and then a stand-up row with the disgraceful valet parking staff meant we immediately checked out of the hotel with 2 days stay remaining. The hotel staff were excellent, the valet parking is by a third party company. This is the reason I have marked down the hotel and would not stay again or recommend it.
