Good location - could walk to Central Park and many other sites. The room was surprisingly very quiet and the shower pressure was great.

The lobby was chaotic and the "destination" fee a joke - they charge you $35 that you can either use toward breakfast (which is over $35) or an extremely overpriced drink at the bar that was often closed. Only 2 of the 5 elevators seemed to work and they were always full by the time they reached me on the 8th floor hence I took the stairs down most times (but not up because the stairwell was locked from the lobby).

The bathroom flooded both mornings we were there and created a very hazardous situation on the slick marble floor. When I told the front desk they were like too bad. They should have offered something for our inconvenience.

The room was way smaller than was advertised in the photo. The staff was rude. I asked a simple question and they acted like they were put out. I wouldn't recommend this hotel. I wouldn't return there.

I expected to swipe my key card when entering the elevator, however, there was no option to swipe. The elevator was accessible to anyone regardless of if you had a room key. Nonetheless, I still felt safe in the hotel.

Shower in room 1121 needs some work, the drain had trouble staying up and excess water ran from the lower faucet when using the shower, water wasteful. I forgot to the tell the clerk at check out. Breakfast was minimal for $30+

It was a room with a bed for us to sleep after long days.

I paid for a king size bed, the hotel staff had upgrades other customers to my room, so I was put in a queen size bed. They could not compensate me and offered me free breakfast and to waive a fee that had already been waived. When coming to New York, I'm not going to eat at my hotel. The staff was rude and they said there was nothing they could do because they were booked up. They need to give me the difference in the rooms back.

The location was very convenient and they had complimentary water bottles for us every day. They also gave us slippers upon request.

Check in was at 4pm and we arrived at 4:30pm, but the front desk told us that they didn't have our room ready for us yet because housekeeping was backed up. We were told that they would call us when our room was ready and that they could hold our bags for free (otherwise, it would be $3 per bag). We left our 3 bags and went on with our day. I kept waiting for a call, but it was 10pm and we never got a call so I made the decision to just go back. Thankfully our room was ready, but they never called us when they said they would. When I went to shower, I kept sneezing continuously in the shower. I usually don't have any trouble with my allergies, but my eyes were so itchy and I couldn't stop sneezing. My friend did as well when she went to shower and I noticed that the bathroom was very dusty. My friend thinks it was from the soaps. Regardless, my nose was very, very sensitive for the rest of the night. My friend also woke up the next day with her sinuses inflamed because of how bad her allergies were. This hotel also charges a $35 destination fee (per night!!) that I already paid for when I booked the hotel. They said it works as credit and can be used towards their breakfast buffet, the bar, dinner or the gym. So my friend and I decide to check out their breakfast buffet the next morning to use up the $70 destination fee credit we already paid for. As we were checking out, the hotel said that I owed $9 (for holding 3 bags) and $38 for the breakfast buffet. Apparently, we could only use $35 of the destination fee per day and since breakfast cost $73, I had to pay the remaining $38 out of pocket. No one explained that to us though. We heard another customer complaining to the manager about allergies too. My friend and I spoke to them afterwards and they said it was because their room was very, very dusty. It turns out it wasn't just our room that was like that so definitely beware of sneaky charges and cleanliness when booking with this hotel.

The hotel room is very tired now but the beds are super comfy. I have stayed here several times and keep returning for the location and the bed comfort. The wind is whistling through the gaps in the windows, the blinds are gaping and they didn't go up on one of the windows. The bathroom is baltic & the toilet didn't flush properly ! No room service which was a suprise. The bar is excellent and Starbucks downstairs is a great option when your awake early with jetlag ! The lifts are quick too which can be a frustration in NYC hotels.

The wind coming through the windows - the hotel seriously needs to sort this out and put blinds on the windows that go up and down. Get the WC flush fixed also.
