Location, staff was nice and welcoming

I stayed here a few times but on one occasion my checkin time was at 3 and my room was not ready until about 10 pm. I was with my 4 year old baby and wife. We had to change in the bathroom near the lobby. I talked to manager but he was no help. The other staff that were there were very nice but weren’t able to help me. Wasnt very happy.

We stayed here for two nights in early January. One of the main advantages is the location. If you come to New York mainly to walk around the city and only return to the hotel to sleep, this is a good option. We didn’t have a view from the window, but on the plus side, there was no street noise. However, we could hear noisy neighbors very clearly — that’s really a matter of luck. The room was clean, although the furniture and carpet are quite old and look worn. We especially liked the shower with additional side spray jets.

As for complimentary amenities, there were only plastic cups — not even bottled water was provided.

The location is awesome if you are staying for a few days and need a place close to the Times Square, subway and all the good points to visit.

A Guys was working at night making to repair a "door " Impossible to sleep between 12 until 2 am ! His work didn t seem to be urgent I don t understand why the hotel allow this to be done night time. Also all door are very bad or no isolation and corridor is noisy.

The place is run down. Not maintained at all. Carpet, chair, curtains were not clean. There was mild stench in the bathroom. They don't have drinking water to refill, so everytime you are forced to buy a water bottle.

The location was perfect for us. The beds were comfortable and the linens were nice. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Housekeeping was accommodating with extra towels and assisting with the sofa bed. Both the room and bathroom were clean.

The carpet in our room was dingy looking, appeared old and in need of replacement. Also, the windows were drafty although the shades when pulled down provided a slight barrier.

Bed was comfortable. Shower was fantastic (water pressure/temp/shower head/stall size). My floor was quiet. Staff was friendly and attentive, from the lady mopping the floor near the elevators to the front desk folk. Wonderfully nice. Great location for midtown & jaunts to upper east side. The location was excellent! The hotel felt clean, safe, and welcoming. The room also was a decent size for New York. Three of us were able to stay in the double queen room comfortably. Further, the staff at the front desk was really helpful.

The building was on the older side. But for the price and location in NYC, it's a great deal.

Everything went above and beyond my expectations here. After having the worst stay the night before, we checked in a little too early, told them our situation, they let us check in earlier than we should have, and gave us a complimentary upgrade on our room. Never in my life have I stayed in a hotel room with a living room separate from the sleeping quarters! This hotel was way worth the price, the staff were so friendly, and this hotel was extremely walkable. And there is a wonderful bodega right up on the corner about half a block! When I go back to New York you better believe I will only be staying at The Shoreham.

The elevators were very tiny and I’m claustrophobic haha but other than that it was absolutely a perfect end to our vacation.

Room needed to be furnished properly. It had old desks only one side table on a king size bed no real furniture very bad little chair to sit on and one ottoman to put something on it needs to be properly decorated. Also that has some old lamp that was falling apart on the desk and the lighting needs to be reworked. Also, the lobby needs to be updated. Doesn’t seem to have any security. You can walk right in off the street and go to the elevator.

Location is good

I got there early in the morning and check in was late, which is understandable. Given I knew that, I left my luggage with them to store it and returned at the check in time, for which time they DID NOT have my room ready, and I was incredibly jet lagged, still they made mw wait an hour or so. I personally did not enjoy this and it ruined my experience there as I was only there for one night, and I barely got time to sleep.
