Very kind reception upon arrival. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, glassware and cookware. Full size fridge, stove and dishwasher were great. The beds were comfortable. The window are large and provide a lot of natural light. We had 3 balconies, so lots of space to catch a breeze. The walls and floors seem to be very thick, so there was no noise from neighbors at all. Best of all, location is perfect for walking to restaurants, bars, 7-11, and we used the nearby Riviera Hotel for some spa services and an evening drag theater performance, which was great.
Everything is very dated, which was expected from the photos, but the furniture in the living room was really uncomfortable due to its years of wear and tear. The living room was the whole reason we selected the desert villas instead of two hotel rooms -- it was Christmas and we planned to spend a lot of time together in the mornings and late evenings in that room. The carpeting is also no longer soft, so it wasn't comfortable to be barefoot. The water in the kitchen faucet was extremely cloudy, which I gathered could be a problem everywhere in Palm Springs. Luckly, 7-11 was right there to buy bottled water. We also bought ground coffee at 7-11 since the Villas only provided coffee for one day out of our 5 day stay. If the price had been a bit lower, I wouldn't have had any problem with these things, but it's not cheap.

A lot to like. Good value, good sized unit with 2 bedrooms and bathrooms, balconies (my living room balcony had good mountain views), all needed appliances and kitchen items. A short drive to downtown. Parking. Very clean and comfortable. Quiet area too.

It was conveniently located.
The biggest thing is that the unit would not go down and temp anything below 73°… Interesting given it’s located in the desert. Also, it was a daily occurrence that my room key wouldn’t work meaning I would have to go during office hours in order to get it fixed. The overall unit is very dated.

This was our 2nd weeklong stay at the villas. We like the spaciousness and full kitchen. The facility is dated but we'll maintained. The location is great for access to the entire PS area.

Desert Villas is located in a fabulous area of Palm Springs. The place needs to be updated but the rooms are enormous and the staff is very helpful and friendly. The pool is great with a mountain view. Place grows on you .Would definitely return.
The second bathroom is small and shower is hard to navigate. The gym is off site.

Relaxing Getaway in Palm Springs
We had a wonderful time at the Desert Vacation Villa! The property was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The atmosphere was peaceful and private—perfect for unwinding.
The villa was beautifully maintained, and we especially enjoyed the outdoor area with the pool and stunning mountain views. It truly felt like a home away from home.
The location was also great—just a short drive to downtown Palm Springs, restaurants, and shops. Communication with the hosts was smooth and friendly, which made the whole experience even better.
We’d definitely love to come back for another stay!

That our room was close to parking and pool
The property can definitely get an upgrade, window curtains were torn and stains on them, furniture can be updated. Bed was ok not the best, bed sheets looked old no comforter just sheets no pillow case on pillows. Bathroom hand towels looked old too. Also had a smell when we walked in!

We didn't use the pool. We walked by it numerous times. Usually we don't see anyone at hotel pools. This one always had someone there. Probably a good sign.
The office staff was very good. The free coffee in the lobby was very good.

All and all the following is minor, but this review asked for something I didn't like. This is all I could come up with. The light switches. Where there was a switch in one room there was a switch plate cover so you had to walk into the dark room to find the lamp. I think that was the lamp where the on/off switch was under the shade just under the bulb. Too much fumbling to get to the switch. Some of lamps in other rooms the switch was on the base of the lamp plus the other bedroom and living room did have a switch that would turn on a lamp plugged into a switched outlet. The bathroom switches were more 'modern' but not as convenient as a simple up/down toggle. I have relatives who are electrical contractors. They would never wire a house or apartment this way.

Our two bedroom apartment (1 king room and one twin bed room) was very large, clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked for the simple cooking that I did for the three days we were there. The condo buildings are separated from each other, so it was very quiet at night. The laundry facilities, pool area and the grounds were all clean and well-kept. We had covered parking, so our car didn't get hot, and it is very conveniently located close to the Palm Springs Aerial Tram (which was great!), the cacti botanical garden, and ice cream shop a block away. We really enjoyed the resident hummingbirds as well as the road runner bird that hung out near the ice machine! Since we stayed for three days, the price we paid was very reasonable for such a large place with a lot of amenities.
It would have been helpful if the front office was open after 5:00 because we would have liked to take out bikes for an evening, but couldn't after 4:30. However, the office staff were very helpful when they were there!

Apartment #206 is on the second floor just above huge generator that works 24 hours a day. It is impossible to use balcony or even open balcony door because of unbearable noise. I asked to change room but got refuse without explanations. Office hours from 9 am to 5 pm.

This was our second time at the property. The location is great - very close to downtown Palm Springs. A nice neighborhood you can walk in, a quiet setting. Free parking is a big bonus. And though we didn’t cook, it was great to have a full kitchen for breakfast and drinks etc.
It is a little dated but a very reasonable cost so happy to stay there. The staff is efficient and professional. There are some maintenance things that could be have been proactively taken care of but they did not affect our enjoyment of our room.

Furniture was a bit dated, but overall I have no real complaints. However, I think a different soap and shampoo might have been nice. But, those are not big issues.

The size and space of the condos was nice. Much better than just renting a hotel room. Full kitchen, towels and linens provided.
The unit was dated with visible wear on the cabinets but otherwise the unit was clean.

The villa was very big with a master bedroom and twin beds for my children. The kitchen was nice with all bowls, plates, and dishwasher. We were right next to the pool which was a plus.
There was a distinct smell but we bought a candle.

The staff were so friendly, the rooms were spacious and VERY clean, and the location is great. The photos of the rooms online do not do them justice. They are way nicer in person. This was better than staying at a hotel and I plan on booking here again when I come back to the area. Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay!!! 10/10

Quiet location
The room is outdated and facing the parking lot. No elevator for luggage. The reception is only available 9-5.

Friendly and helpful staff. Very relaxing. Pool was great enjoyed the atmosphere. Location was a bonus.
Was not that we didnt like it but just a comment about worn furniture might be helpful to get it cleaned so it is not as noticeable but was comfy.
