Breakfast was great. Locations was also great.
When we arrives and received our keys, we went up to our room to find that it had not been cleaned. The bed had been stripped and made up. We had to go back down to get another room which was a little different from what we had booked. It was a little frustrating after sitting in traffic and just wanting to shower and rest.

The location was convenient
We were charged a smoking fee when no one in the room even smokes. We look at reviews for this location and it seems to be a pattern. It’s pathetic for the company to force 400 in fees for something that is obviously a problem with the sensors. These reviews were more then one and recent so it’s still a problem currently while I’m typing this.

Location was excellent for our purpose. Elevator was very fast. Breakfast was decent and coffee was plentiful
Our room was never tended to, sheets needed to be changed and towels replaced. Our stay was for three nights. Parking attendant was impatient with us,didn't let us unload luggage at the entrance of the hotel.

The location and affordability are hard to beat if you are attending a convention at the convention center. It was an easy walk, and I felt safe. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good, and the room was a decent size. I also did not have to wait a long time for the elevator at the times when I was needing it.
The room needs some attention. The office chair was completely dilapidated with bare spots and tatters hanging from it. The other furniture was also pretty beaten up. The ice machine was out of service. I found a big cockroach in my bathroom one morning right next to the toilet. At least it was on its back in the process of dying. Parking also seems kind of high at $28/night when the convention center garage is one block away at $10/day, and you can park there overnight as well.

The location was great, right by the Riverwalk and shopping mall. The staff was great. Breakfast was good.
Didn't like that I had to pay an additional 28$ to park being a hotel guest. Beds are too small decor in room is old and rusted carpet was stained throughout the hotel room and hotel. For as many floors and rooms this hotel has, the pool could have been bigger to accommodate guests.

Varying color lit pool, buffet( seven Texas waffle irons, sausage and eggs etc.), Rivercenter Mall across the street, Denny's even closer. Really chill cocktail lounge (The 501) really comfortable stylish seating, however the tables should be cocktail height (suggestion to management) it's literally the only thing missing. Apparently there's a dome really close by for the local sports and various other forms of entertainment. It's like the same distance from here as it is to be Alamo, or so I've been told. Just formed that triangle in my head, cool. But I digress. It's by far my new favorite place to stay downtown when I'm in San Antonio.

Location was great, perfect for walking around downtown, very close to the Riverwalk, various restaurants, and the Alamo. Appreciated the hotel parking lot as well.
It was a little loud hearing other guests at night or construction noises outside, but understandable being in the city and it certainly wasn't a deal breaker. Breakfast options were okay, pretty standard hotel options.

The desk clerk that checked us in was rude. Hot in the breakfast area. No safes in the rooms. Extra charge to park on their parking area.

Very comfortable beds, close to the Riverwalk, nice big lobby with air conditioning. As it is a hotel that allows pets we knew there was a small chance of getting a room that smelled like dog, which I'm a bit allergic, and the room they gave us smelled strongly of wet dog. They were quick to assign us a new room and that one was nice dry and smelled nothing like dog, so we were very happy. The front desk staff was very nice.
There were eight waffle makers at the breakfast area, which made us super excited, but of the two mornings we were there the first morning they didn't provide batter for the waffle makers until 35 minutes after breakfast opened, so there were lots of people lingering around like vultures to get their waffles started. Then on our second morning, they only turned on half of the waffle maker stations and there were four times as many people in the breakfast area. It was chaotic as families with kids were all sqatting on the few stations and there was a long line. Why have so many stations if you arent going to turn them all on during a super busy morning? It was also unclear where the syrup was as after hunting for a while it was in a large beverage dispenser, made for water or iced tea, but no label to say 'syrup' in front of it so most people din't know where to find it unless they dared each other to see if it was iced tea.
The pool was not open until 10am in the morning which didn't make sense considering breakfast was 6:30am-9am. Many folks prefer to swim before they go to work or off to whatever their events are, and before eating, so not being able to make use of the pool during our stay was dissapoining.
