Location, location, location....everything is close. Church, around the corner. Mexican consulate, down the street. Paleteria just two blocks down. barber shop, very close. Eateries, downtown, uptown, down the street, around the corner, up the street. The favorite of the day is italiano, and pizza. Eat It while u stand or walk.

The location
The property needs to be renovated, the elevator only fits 2-3 people at a time, it smelled kind of stale, beds were hard as a rock, restroom sink was rotting and basically we got what we paid for.

But sketch, idk if they were in the middle of renovations, but furniture in the halls all weekend while I was there, Emergency exit that led to the alley outside stair well left open all the time. Pretty grimy shower head in the room

A basic hotel. You want soft fluffy towels, bar and restaurant? Then this place isn't for you. You want a nice budget comfortable hotel a block away from Little Italy, walking distance to all that the waterfront has to offer with FREE parking. This is your place. Remember, it is a budget hotel. Not the best furniture or amenities, yet comfy bed and clean rooms. After all, this is a room to sleep and stay, not hang out at the pool or spa. Traffic noise during the day, yet once local businesses close, very quite. I have stayed here a couple of times. Always enjoyed my stay.
This time I stayed they are sprucing up the rooms, new paint, mirrors and whatnot. Soooo, the halls had construction debris in them but it only looked bad walking to your room.

I liked it was in Little Italy and close to the harbor.
My room wasn't provided enough soap and towels. The door to the rooms had its lock broken, so I wasn't confident I was completely safe. I braved through it.

It was a pleasant stay. I felt safe and it was quiet. The room was relatively clean. A few specks in the bathroom. Not terrible or disgusting. The bedding was clean. One bug but no big deal for me. I was on the top floor. I didn’t care for the old musty smell in the building and room. Good for the price and location.

The rooms were not thoroughly cleaned. Missing bath curtain, hair in tub. Holes in wall. Trash bags left in hallway. A bunch of toilets in the parking lot. It was just not unkept.

Thirty minutes before our checkout, the housekeeper knocked on the door of our room, where we had stayed for the night. She dared to verbally harass my family and me. She continuously raised her voice and used profanity words toward us. Since this got out of control I did let my sister know to close the door. Her behavior toward us was unacceptable and she ruined out morning. The housekeeper was either on the phone or talking (Spanish) to their co-worker about what occurred and continued to insult us in a different language(Spanish). As we I was heading out of the building she insult mean Spanish. I went to go speak to the receptionist (Brity) about the situation. There was no apology from their part at all. The night before our checkout. After a long day we headed back to Harborview Inn & Suites-Convention Center-Airport-Gaslamp-Seaworld-Zoo-Balboa Park, we showered and were ready for bed. As I was untucking the sheets from my bed there was noticeable amount of hair on the sheets. I called Gigi (receptionist) and let her know of the siuation. I showed Gigi the hairs and we were moved to a different room. I even took pictures. The room that we stayed in had a loose sink nob along with the shower nob and I did let Brity know that those damages were not caused by us therefore, I should obtain my refund of damage property back.
