The situation of the hotel in the heart of the city center
NOT a value for money.
Too small room with payed queen's bed for 320$ per day.We have travelled all around the world and this is too much for such a room with no efforts at all,not even a window.
When you book the room,it says "breakfast included"
This is a cheat for that was not a breakfast at all.

Great location & Staff at front desk were very knowledgeable.
Bathroom shower needed a non-slip mat … very slippery. Main entrance door was automatic and it made the lobby very cold when breakfast was served there. No daily room service and had to ask for clean towels, but needed to ask twice.

Location was great - right across from Dragon Gate and an easy walk to Union Square and North Beach. We were there the night of the New Year parade, and even though the hotel was full, it was very quiet.
The bathroom was tiny.

Located in the city center right next to Chinatown, this hotel is the perfect starting point for exploring the city. Lots of restaurants and bars in the neighborhood. The staff was super friendly and helpful. There was also a happy hour in the lobby from 4-6 with complementary drinks!
The Wifi was a little complicated to access and did not work on an older phone. The windows only open about 2 inches and there is no ventilation or fans in the bathroom.

We loved that the hotel had a wine/beer happy hour where people gathered in the late afternoon in the lobby. Ditto for croissant/bagel breakfast in the morning. Above and beyond! Really a nice touch and one I hope they will keep.

I loved the vintage charm and modern touch in the hotel. Love the location right in the city! Breakfast was okay.
Wish parking garage had discount linked with the hotel stayers. The Terrace was not opened at night and I wanted to sit and chat with co-worker, loved the solitude and intimate vibe in the Terrace. But I was told, it’s only open during breakfast time.

The room was above a bar, got loud until 1:30am made it hard to fall asleep. The water when filled in tub had a murky brown apparence to it. Concerning to say the least. The AC seemed dirty and had a smell to it.

The smoke detector, fire alarm and maybe a carbon monoxide detector was placed directly above the head of the bed-flashing lights ALL NIGHT LONG! The bed is placed so that the bright light shining through the door peephole also shines directly at the eyes

The Hotel Triton is nicely located in the financial district of SF at the gates of Chinatown , proximity with cable car stops and metro stations is really nice . The room was clean and with everything you need for a good price !
Breakfast is really basic and without any proper dedicated area you get it either in one room at the second floor or in the lobby . Small detail we had booked a single king sized bed and we got double beds , no big issues there.

Some of the staff were friendly, central location
No kettle, room we got (225) looked out onto an internal courtyard which looked into the breakfast room. So you get peeping eyes when getting dressed in the morning. Also very dark and next to the exhaust that goes hum all day and night. The pillows were lumpy. Even after we exchanged them the new ones were also lump. Bad night sleep.

Love the option to skip daily housekeeping - would the hotel consider a discount in that case? Very quiet - only heard upstairs neighbour stomping around a little bit. We loved being downtown & so close to a couple of good convenience stores, 4 kinds of transit, & restaurants & an amazing fabric store. Wonderfully quiet fridge! Staff very cheerful & personable.
Headboard squeaked; that is a minor consideration, tho'. Could have used a microwave in the room. Really this is one of the best stays I've ever had. Price could always be sweetened...

Lovely staff. Modern interiors and we loved happy hour, free beer and wine! We stayed twice, once in the disability room and it was much bigger for a cheaper price!

The hotel has a great location in the city center of San Francisco. It is easy to check in and had a good room.
The hotel has some hostel vibes with a lot of "free" perks (you pay resort tax for it and most of them we didn't use). The breakfast was very minimal and since it is an old building your hotelroom door has several gaps which allow light and sounds to enter your room.

Great location, excelent staff (except for postcard-sending-gate, see below), I liked the carafe and water cooler on the 6th floor, cool fountain outside. Bike friendly and also free snakes and alcohol!
I asked the front desk if they would sell me some stamps for a couple of postcards and they said they would mail them for me. I agreed and then found that they charged me $8 to send two postcards! Much more than two postcards worth of postage!
