VERY Very small double bed. Don't turn left out of the hotel. Though the area (like most cities) does have a homeless issue it is very profound if you turn left out of the hotel. Turn right, and it feels much safer.

The breakfast was good and the choice was rather complete. The only drawback was that the breakfast room was all too small for such a large hotel. There was a tremendous queue and hassle between 8:15 and 9:00 am when it already closed. A system of seat reservation would help the situation until another big room is made available.

Breakfast was also decent. Really worked well for us.
While location was great, location was bad when it came to the crowd and homelessness around. It was very scary to walk around, unless you walked north-west.

The location was a close walk to many things. Not the best area, but the staff at the front desk does a great job keeping the building secure. The A/C worked great, the shower was nice, and we were able to check in early. Overall great stay at Super 8!
The room was kind of small compared to other hotels. We had just enough room with two people. The elevator was a bit scary.

I like the rooms where we stayed. We are a family of three so room 406 is perfect. There were two twin beds and a sofa bed. We are only here for a night so this is a nice room for us. The staff is very welcoming, especially the Front Desk lady who is very friendly.
The only thing I found strange is the bathroom between the bedroom and the other room with the sofa bed. Not sure how this was configured but it was ok for us. There is enough room. Also I hope there were more choices for breakfast. This is our second time in this hotel and the breakfast is all the same. Maybe there are other choices, maybe hot meals if possible.

Continental breakfast was included which was good. Beds were very comfy. Easily walk to Union Square. It’s very close to the Tenderloins but we didn’t have any problems. They also have a washing machine & dryer available for use which was great as we’d been travelling for a week before we got there.
Would be good to have a bedside table on both sides of the beds - we had to use our cases. There is 1 small bedside table but the phone takes up all the room. When you have a cpap machine it’s very difficult to fit that on there. Hence I used my case. And the beds are very high. But they are very comfortable.

It had everything I needed and my room was clean and modern. Staff were really nice and allowed me into the breakfast room after hours to reheat my food and check-out an hour later without an additional fee.

The breakfast options were limited. Just bread and some cream cheese. Even when it is centrally located near Union Square, there was a lot going on with homeless hanging out nearby and being loud during the night.

The hotel is in a great location. Our first impressions weren't too good, though we actually enjoyed our stay here. It was great value for money for San Francisco.
There wasn't a safe in the room. The room was exceptionally small. Also, our bedroom door opened in the middle of the night, so I didn't feel safe after that.

The staff was very helpful and the rooms, though small, were very clean and renovated. The main door to gain entry to the hotel was locked with was a nice added security bonus.
There was a very distinct cat urine smell upon entry and in the hallway. Due to this, we were pleasantly surprised when we opened our room how clean updated was. The smell was not as noticeable within the room.
The thing we disliked the most about the stay was, in the evening, the block is a bit sketchy. I know this is not the hotel’s fault, but I went outside and was approached by multiple homeless people one even tried to fake box me while I was out there. I did not feel safe in the evening.

The room was quite spacious overall, with a distinct layout that included a living area, a sleeping area, and a restroom in between. It was generally nice.
The restroom lacked a counter for beauty products and a full-length mirror. If you need space to get ready and do your makeup, I recommend bringing a lighted mirror and using the table as a vanity.

The location of the hotel was good in terms of accessibility . The rooms and beds were very clean. The TV had all the channels. The bathroom was very nice and had hot water. The hotel staff were respectful. Breakfast was acceptable . The bathroom had a very fragrant moisturizer, and there was hand and body shampoo and shampoo + conditioner with a nice scent in the bathroom .
The area around the hotel was full of homeless vagabond addicts who took away your sense of security. The shower pressure could be higher. The hotel is inherently old and has been renovated. The doors were old and creaking. The elevator is old, but everything was working well. It would be better if slippers, toothbrush and toothpaste were added to the facilities. Especially slippers should be one of the requirements of all hotels . It would have been better to put liquid soap next to the toilet instead of solid dish soap .

The room was very clean and the bathroom was very nice as well. The room had a lot of things in it for a smaller space which was nice to have. There was no issue getting fresh towels or extra pillows if needed.
Bed and pillows were very rough to sleep on, breakfast had a lot of options unfortunately most were either very bland or rough. Elevator is incredibly slow and no storage on the ground floor for bags was a pain to manage. Area around the hotel would be scary if they didn't have extra security for the conference I was attending. Definitely overcharged for this hotel because of the timing of the conference.

Handy location for town.
Decor tired and dark. My room looked out onto brick wall. Basic breakfast.

All the staff we encountered were exceptional, especially the lady at the front desk. Hotel was in a decent location for access to transport and shopping, we even walked to fisherman’s wharf from there, it took about 40 mins. Our room was small but very clean and comfortable. We had a freakishly large bathroom, possibly the shape of the building had something to do with that, it was so large we stored our luggage in there.
The wardrobe was too short to hang anything, even a t-shirt didn’t hang freely, it crumpled at the bottom.
There was an unpleasant smell in the building, we noticed it as soon as we entered, it was like the smell in an aged care facility.

Was close the Bart station. It was easy to get around from this location. A short walk to Union Square.
The pillows were an awkward size and were not comfortable.
