Came for the Nutcracker Ballet and shopping. The Location is PRIME and i cant wait for next Christmas to do it all over again.
I didnt like that my room was in a set in section so my view of Union Plaza was kind of limited even though i booked for a full view. But it was still a greay stay.

The room that accomodated three adults...the king bed was very comfortable. The pull out sofa was awful:( for the price we paid, I expected more. This will not be a hotel I will return to, sadly.

I didn’t like the constant smell of cannabis (not inside the hotel) near the entrance to the hotel or in the streets. I know this is nothing to do with the hotel.

The hotel was wonderful and the staff was friendly. However, I was charged twice so I had to deal with that one morning when you don't really want to handle that on a vacation. The first lady I spoke to said I wasn't charged twice but when I showed her my credit card statement she got her manager and then something was actually done about it. Added some stress to my stay.

Overall, I was happy with the facility, the lighting was a bit dim, and most floors were carpet which I felt needed a refresher. The property is in an area surrounded by several homeless people which at times felt a bit unsafe. There would also be bouts of loud music around the property in the middle of the night which would disrupt my sleep for a few minutes. Otherwise, it was an okay stay!

Location is center of everything but too crowded location and the hotel water pressure was low in high floors.
The best thing is Emily’s support helped alot after hotel had done double booking but some system glitches.
Installed phone is very old and it hangs.
The hotel double booked my stay due to some system glitches.
Guest parking is very high $75 per day is very expensive. Normally whenthe hotel charges resort fees they offer free parking facilities for guests cars.
Breakfast quantity and quality are very poor vesus the amount charges.

It was a great hotel location wise especially in the holiday season.
The bill was confusing after our stay from Westin. There were terms that were unclear and I wasn't sure what I was charged for. After dropping them emails and reading up about Marriot bills, I figured this is the case for all Marriot hotels. I wasn't charged anything different from what I was promised but the terms in the receipt were confusing.
For a three day stay I was charged parking pf $75 everyday which I thought was ridiculous!
Please know that San Francisco hotels charge something called a "Destination fee". This is a good to know information before you book hotels here. Surprisingly hotels in Vegas don't charge this but SFO does!

We had the best check in experience with Fazal. There’s a guy who’s going places. Promote him ! Great room, loved the elevator, comfortable bed. All the staff were terrific.
Construction was a bother. Seats in clock bar very uncomfortable. $40 for an Oban 14 Scotch was RIDICULOUS.

Location was great near Union Square, shopping, theatres, Modern Art gallery, lots of restaurants etc. The staff were very helpful, particularly the valet parking, luggage and concierge. Nostalgic and a fabulous view from our room plus super elevator ride in the new tower.
Renovations were going on at the time which we did not know about until we arrived so some facilities closed. The lobby was freezing! One needed over coats to just stand in line at the reception desk or order from the self serve cafeteria, which was not my fave place.

My Suite was amazing! My grandson suite had problems with the toilet that wasn’t fixed. He called and they came up once, but still didn’t flush properly. I told them when I was checking out, but they didn’t offer any discounts. They should’ve offered something.
Toilet in suite. They should tell you about all the extra fees when you order room service. They got me one morning, but I went downstairs and picked up my food at a reasonable price.

Rooms are beautiful. Beds very comfortable; loved the pillows. Our city/Union Square view was fantastic! Location on Union Square was perfect. Close to everything including BART, which was very convenient. Being Bonvoy members, we were given two very cool water bottles, two cable car tickets, a free wine coupon at the wine bar at Macys. A great stay! Will definitely be back.
Buffet breakfast was very expensive; $40.00, so we skipped that. Had a few drinks at the bar; $34.00 for a Lemon Drop and one beer. Seemed a bit high to us.

The staff is excellent. Hard-working and personable professionals.
You will pay through the teeth for this location. Add on expenses are too much: $78/day parking, $30/day resort fee, $8 cups of coffee. Two nights here ended up being over $700 for a standard king room. Too much! Union Square is improving, but the area is still awash with community members who need serious help and access to toilets and other basic services. It’s still a heartbreaking scene.

I was disappointed that the beautiful lobby was under construction; I really wanted my friend to see it. But I'm sure it's going to be lovely once it's done. The front desk seemed short-staffed at times.
