The hotel is beautiful but the services were terrible
They closed the pool for July 4th with out advertising it and so there was no pool for the holiday. The whole reason I got the room was for roof top pool access. They literally ruined the day.

The only thing I dont like is that if we are paying over $300 the night. How come the room cleaning is every other day???? For the price you pay the cleaning should be everyday cleaning and change of towel.

A huge group of us and our kids stay every year for the 4th to hang by the pool then go watch fireworks. This year they kicked everyone out if the pool 6 hours before the fireworks, unless you bought a 100$ ticket per person. My family of 4 wouldve been an additional 400$! Our entire group were so upset and would never go back. It was announced via email, in fine print but with no pricing, a couple of days before. None of us saw it, and it wouldve been too late to change plans. The air in our room didnt work and we had no fitted sheet, only an exposed mattress pad. Half of our group left their rooms empty and booked across the street. Including one of that booked the suite. It separated our group and ruined our holiday. My 219$ room was 345$ after fees and 40$ parking, and we couldnt use the pool! The hotel staff didnt offer anything to help or apologize, with the exception of Russ.

The room was constable and clean. The hotel was near to the beaches, marina, restaurant. The pool was nice, private, clean and refreshing with chairs and umbrellas. I love because the pool is locate at roof, floor #19, and the view at night is beautiful.
The Continental breakfast don't was include in the price.

I LOVE this hotel!!! From the guest services, to the valet guys, to the rooms, spa, pool (OMG the rooftop pool -- WOW) everything is top notch!! The food is great at the restaurant, the Starbucks right in the lobby is convenient, the food poolside is also fab and the shuttle service is also very good and easy. I just love this hotel (stayed twice here now and plan to do so everytime I'm in Sarasota!!
There's not much walking distance around the hotel so you do have to depend on uber but it's easy to get everything due to the location. The Starbucks in the lobby could have more drink choices.

Room was awesome! Pool area on the top of the hotel roof had a beautiful view, had a few drinks and swam!! Property was very nice. Rode bikes around the neighborhood, we received 2 hours free on the bikes with coupons we got from the hotel.

We had a VERY loud group near us at 3:00 AM, and I called concierge. She said she’d send someone right up. The loud group continued to be outrageous until they headed to pool around 4:00am. There were several guys mainly laughing loudly and one girl shouting profanities at the guys. The two previous neighbors nights were perfect! We will definitely stay with you again!!!

No free parking..Valet ONLY @ $40 a day, hotel undergoing renovation (think jackhammers), Sink dirty in bathroom on arrival. Shuttle service didnt want to drive people around.Empty beer cans left in lobby for 2 days in full view of everyone. Snack Room opposite front desk, no prices shown... Coffee in restaurant ..bottom of pot & grounds in cup.

The location was good for a short term visit to Sarasota. The shuttle helped in getting around the downtown area.
For a higher end hotel, it certainly didn’t feel like it. The walls in the hallways and in the room were banged up and obviously patched in many places. The furniture in the room was also not in good condition. Not everyone enjoys going on the 19th floor with glass panels on the sides for the pool and best bar - especially with the very narrow walkway to get to the main area. The menu in the bar lobby was boring, so skipped that too. This is really feels like a hotel mostly for business travelers or conferences.

The location was close to many things to do
The service was the worst I’ve experienced at any Westin I’ve stayed before. Had to continuously request room service & they still did not come. The 2 times they came during my 5 night stay the only thing they did was make the bed and give me new towels. The room smelled terrible. After notifying the front desk of the room/room service issue they said they’d look into it and did nothing. Did the same the next day. Staff and service was terrible. For the price tag the service should be great and the staff exceptional. I’ve had better service and cleanliness at cheaper hotels.

The Westin Sarasota is a business hotel close to ‘aim Street, which reminds me of a city. It is not a good choice for a long beach weekend. If going for a long weekend, you best bet is to stay at a hotel or rental close or on the Lido Beach. The valet and shuttle staff are very responsive. While everyone is quite friendly, the service is super slow at the onsite hotel restaurant. The rooftop bar staff is excellent. However, the rooftop pool is lame.

Valet was fast and efficient. Nolan Perez was outstanding and provided extraordinary services by helping with shuttle, places to go and always offering to carry your bags. Front desk was friendly and restaurant staff was very attentive.

I booked this hotel for the location and the prestige that Westin is suppose to deliver.But you did not!
Disappointed in, service to my room, no one spoke English,and didnt bring me what I asked for. Had to call repeated times to get what I needed.,unsecured doors on street level,coffee in room was horrible,manager at roof top event was very rude ,elevators were wet,wasn't given everything we needed upon arrival,ie,pool bracelets, tv on lower floor was promoting spa services from Christmas season, cappuccino were cold when having lunch in the lobby.No priority for guests staying at the hotel for the event on the rooftop. That was one of the main reasons for booking with you. Couldn't reserve a spot to sit at, so we had to rush up there to get a decent seat. On arrival, the manager who was at the door, explicity said to us that there are NO good seats, because we wouldn't be able to see the fireworks anyway. Which was terrible to say. And a lie. The checkout experience was so unprofessional. I had to ask for the receipt, would have liked to view it before my card was charged. Was handed to be with an envelope,not in the envelope.
All in all, I was very disappointed,what should have been a luxurious weekend with my sister, was far from what I expected and should have booked my stay at The Ritz next door.
