The breakfast was described as fantastic but in my opionion was just a normal continental breakfast. Vienna is a city full of bakeries and fantastic cakes, i was expecting more sweet things and some of their specialities.
The room was a little bit too hot and the thermostat was not working.

The reception staff were nice and welcoming. The breakfast was also good but quite expensive at € 18 per person.
There was only one very small elevator serving the whole hotel. Max 3 people could fit in it and if you had luggage not even that. Because of this we had to wait sometimes quite long to be able to use the elevator which my handicap wife could not live without. The beds were narrow and the mattresses were very soft. The shower cabin was very dangerous. When you used soap or shampoo the tile floor became extremely slippery. There were no rails or handles on the walls to hold onto so showering was a really dangerous exercise, especially for old and handicap people. We recommend some kind of anti-skid rubber mat to prevent accidents.

Nice hotel with a very good quality of breakfast and with a warm and cosy atmosphere. The hotel is located in a secure and quiet area close to the city center and you can visit most of the city monuments by walking.
1. We faced some problems with the supply of the room with electric energy and the plugs did not function. However, the reception personnel reacted promptly and the problem was solved quickly.
2. The bath towels should be changed more regularly.

It is located about a 15 minute walk from Schottentor or a 2 minute walk from the Spitalgasse tram stop. Single room is a good size and includes kettle and some tea and coffee sachets. Thankfully I could moderate the heating in the room. I could leave my luggage at the reception after checking out, which was very convenient.
Before arrival I got a message to check in online before arrival to speed up the process, but there seemed to be a "Garantie", a deposit to be paid. I was very confused about this, because I had already paid the reservation through booking.com and knew nothing about this deposit. I thus ignored the online checkin request and checked in normally at the hotel, where no mention of the deposit was made and everything was as expected.

The main reason we choose Hotel Boltzmann every year is the location and the staff. Everything is close and everyone is kind. The rooms are comfy and clean.
One thing is the older interior but this time we could see some damages and spots in the room as well. This Hotel really needs some extra maintenance and/or renovation.

The location was great – quite central, with plenty of things to do nearby. It was about a 20-minute walk to the city center, and the connections to other areas were good. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The room itself was comfortable. Even though the building is a bit older, the room was clean and well organized. The bathroom was not very modern, but it was fully functional and there were no issues. There was also plenty of tea, coffee, water, and snacks provided, which was a nice touch. Overall, especially for the price, it was a very good stay.
Unfortunately, the elevator was not working during our stay. These things can happen, but since we were staying on the sixth floor, it was a bit inconvenient. Luckily, we only had backpacks and not heavy suitcases. The corridors look somewhat outdated and have a slightly old-fashioned, almost Soviet-era style, which might not appeal to everyone.

I liked the people working at the front desk. The location of the hotel is also very good but far from the center. However, it was very close to public transportation and the good cafes as well.
On the confirmation document, it was saying that a large size one bed would have been given but the bed was the small size single bed. The heaters were not working as well. The hotel is very old. The windows were very dirty. They were cleaning the room everyday but every time, I was finding a black hair of the cleaning lady in the bathroom. They never changed the towels btw. However, the people working at the front desk were very nice and helpful all the time.

The double rooms would be better with one duvet rather than two singles. The heating wouldn't turn down and one of the pillows was very lumpy - we just didn't use that one. There was a huge stain on the bedroom wall as though a drink had been thrown at it. The cups could be bigger, I burnt my fingers on it.

Good value for money. The room was clean, and the reception staff were always available and helpful, both during check-in and whenever I had questions. The location was also convenient, with easy access to nearby bus and train stations.
Another issue was a building very close to the hotel - probably a church or cathedral - whose bells rang every morning at 8 AM for about 3-4 minutes. After that, it was impossible to fall back asleep. The bells also rang every hour until late evening. Of course, some outside noise is totally normal and should be expected, but better window insulation could have helped. In addition, the curtains were quite thin, so a lot of outside light came into the room. I could only sleep properly with an eye mask. Because of these two issues, the quality of sleep was not very good.
