Great location, just near the main train station but as well a good starting point to visit the city. Walked the whole way as we didn't need to use the public transport. Breakfast was ok.
The hotel is under renovation so to have the breakfast in the morning was a bit hectic. They've should communicated this clearly in advance. You get some sort of tickets for the breakfast time, and it gets really busy and crowded. The other negative comment goes out to the reception team for not giving clear instructions for parking. It felt like you need to lead an interview in order to get basic instructions how to access the parking garage, where to exist, how to enter the parking garage, etc. If there was not a construction site in the hotel, it would be all very clear but since the ongoing works it feels like a maze to get to the parking.

I liked the view
The hotel was under construction, so a lost of dust and blocked access ways which we didn't know about. If I knew this before I wouldn't have booked it as I prefer quieter environments for my vacation, not necessarily a renovation site. The breakfast was the same every day with little options, the room cards are electronically charged, so even if you keep them away from phones etc, they won't work properly after 2-3 days, notified the staff but they were a bit condescending about "keeping them away from other electronics" which we really did, but nevertheless. The parking is not included and costs 20€ per day, which also is not a reason for joy if you're staying more than a couple of days. The rooms are OK, the ventilation is not really working/making any difference, it was a bit musty and warm in the evening being on the last floor, the cracked window didn't do much of a difference. Unfortunately people smoke on the stairway, so if you do decide to leave the windows, expect smoke/smell.

The hotel boasts an ideal location, just in front of Mariahilfer Tram station, providing easy access to all parts of Vienna. The room was nice, clean and comfortable. We were fortunate to be allowed an early check in at no extra cost. Our stay was truly wonderful. I highly recommend this place to others.

The hotel is in a good location for public transport connections, which take you to the city center in 10 minutes. We saw hair in our bathroom and on the sheets, but the staff replaced our room right away. The room was spacious and quite a handy TV so we could watch online streaming services when we were resting.
We had to switch our room because of a cleaning issue. Other than that, the hotel is old, the furniture and other tools are a little out of date, but still good enough to use. It would be nice to have a fridge in the room.

This is a hard place to evaluate because it has so many good things. The location is fair, near the main street with a lot of commerce and near metro and train, safe to walk around, the restaurant and breakfast are amazing, the staff is very kind, we got discounts for the restaurant and free dessert.
The problem is the heat. The air conditioning was not working on either of our rooms and the solution was to provide fans. Being the summer and with partially opening windows, it was not very pleasant inside the room. I would stay here again but in a different season.

Just in the end of our stay, I feel we got insulted by the cleaning lady because she wait in front of our room and we only give 2 euro tips (FYI, we didn’t asking them to clean our room for our three days stay). She talked in a rude tone in the language that we don’t understand, not english or germany. I believe she is just your hotel outsourcing, but I hope you can review also about those people, not all of them are good for the customer.
Still 10 star for another things, include front desk and restaurant staff.

The Ibis Hotel Wien Mariahilf is a fantastic choice in Vienna.
The staff are amazing—super friendly and welcoming every time I interacted with them. The rooms are consistently very clean, making for a comfortable stay.
The location is excellent for exploring the city, with easy access to everything.
A special highlight is the hotel's bar, Günter. It's an excellent bar and the perfect place to unwind after a day of sightseeing.

The hotel was very good overall. The room was a bit dark due to the black-colored walls, and the bathroom was slightly small, but the location was excellent — about a 7-minute walk to Vienna’s main shopping street, full of stores and cafés.

One of the best hotels we stayed at! Really good relation of the price and what you get, perfect location 5min walk from the main street, excellent breakfast, staff were friendly, ambient of the restaurant is just wow, and just all of the recommendations for the stay here!
We really liked everything, but if to look at smallest details, a small fridge in the room would be nice, but other that that really nice place!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was good, right across the tram station and 3 minute walk to the metro station. We stayed there in winter. The room was warm, cozy, clean and comfortable.
It would be good to have a water boiler in the room, as well as tea and instant coffee. However when we asked, the staff provided us with a water boiler.

Breakfast was good. There was a variety of food. The cutlery and glasses need to be inspected carefully before being brought out since some were not completely clean. The location is great. It's a quick walk to the Westbahnhoff (train station) and to Mariahilf Stabbe which offers a variety of shops and leads you to the center of Vienna.
In my opinion, the carpet in the hallways should be removed . It's old and holds cigarette smells from those guests who disrespectfully smoke even though it's prohibited. I also think the staff needs to be more proactive in informing guests that smoking is strictly prohibited.

Nothing was provided for. No bath n toiletries provided. No slippers, and don’t even provide free bottles of drinking water. Just a room basically for you to rest.

During check-in, David was so kind! He recommended the best dinner spot and provided a nice view of the cathedral right outside of our window. The hotel and room was clean, the location is convenient. They brought us an iron and board when requested. I would stay here again! It’s budget friendly. Thank you, Wein!

The hotel is ideally located: right outside the hotel entrance is a Big Bus stop, across the street is a tram stop, and the metro and main train station are just a 5-7-minutes walk away. The major shopping street, Mariahilf Strasse, is also just 5 minutes away, making the location very convenient. The hotel itself is clean, and the breakfast was quite decent. I'd especially like to thank the night shift receptionists, Mickey and Bruno – they are very friendly and helpful. Yasin from the day shift was also very kind and upgraded my room to a larger one. I recommend this hotel; it completely lived up to my expectations and is definitely the best value for this money.

Amazing location, very kind and helpful staff, close to the restaurants and Wien Westbahnhof, availability of hot water 7/24, just 1 min from the tram station, comfortable bed... I don't know what to add more. I will definitely stay again if I come to Wien again.
