It is indeed a good location. Good value. A small but useful exercise room (but not sauna/spa FYI). Satisfactory breakfast. Solidly 7 out of 10 but not a fantastic place.
A few small things. The request for a double bed couldn't be met (two singles). The lift that appeared to not work (the "down" button doesn't work on my floor so to summon it you press "up", then get in and press "lobby". The breakfast is fine but you have to specifically ask for a bowl if you want muesli (then they bring one bowl, not 4 or 5 for other guests). I asked to bring a cup of coffee up to the room after breakfast; not allowed. Air conditioning malfunctioned for a few hours on first day (it was fixed but I HAD to work in the hot room that particular few hours...)

Excellent location in the heart of the city of Sofia. In a walking distance away from major see-sights like the National Palace of Culture. The staff was polite and very clear in their explanation regarding my stay. The room was clean and cozy with nice, comfy bed and big bathroom.
The rooms could benefit from some renovation works. Even though the design is contemporary, signs of wear and tear are starting to show. The AC was a little bit too noisy at times. Breakfast offered wasn't the greatest looking, even though it still tasted good.

A single standard room even comes with a large bed whicj was a great surprise!! Breakfast was good too although the hot dishes needed just to be a little warmer. Great value for money! I stayed there 5 nights and I would be happy to stay there again!

This is a great hotel in the heart of the city. Perhaps 2 blocks away from the bus stop for #72 so you can get there by metro and bus very easily. The breakfast buffet was superb. I actually stayed here twice during my time in the country. Very friendly travellers from all over Europe (and presumably the world). The staff was exceptional and very friendly. You can't beat the price!
No complaints. This is a great place and I would stay again in a heartbeat. There is a bar downstairs but I didn't have a chance to hang out there, so I can't comment.

The breakfast restaurant was running only once of the 3 days I stayed and I had to buy it outside of the hotel because they couldn't prepare anything. I basically paid extra for a breakfast I didn't have.
Everything is very (and I mean very) old, reminding of a past era, with a general soft mold odor along the corridors and sometimes in the room.

I stayed at the hotel for two nights. The room I was given (believe #603) had no heating and apparently this was known to staff, but all they responded to my complaint was 'oh, maybe we didn't have any other rooms last night', which is unacceptable. They did move me to another room the second night, but there was no talk about any possible refund, they didn't even apologize for the inconvenience, the attitude was as if nothing out or ordinary happened. Not only the room was unheated, but it was also dirty: trash had not been collected, wallpaper was torn, there were big black stains on the white curtains. The second room was nice, though the furniture was somewhat outdated.

The hotel is very old, looks like it hasnโt been renovated from the time was built, really bad smell in the rooms. The attitude of receptionist called Maia is unacceptable, she was rude, not willing to help, speaking bad and very unfriendly. The location is very bad, on the road even though itโs downtown thereโs nothing around, not even supermarket, which you can reach by walking. The suit I had didnโt have toiletries, not even slippers or shower cap, only small bottles of shower gel. The terrible thing that reception doesnโt work from 8pm to 8 am. When my daughter lost her room key card the mentioned above receptionist told me that I have to pay 10 leves or euros (donโt remember) for the card, never seen anything like this. The hotel positions itself as 4 stars, but in reality is max 2 stars. Breakfast is awful, no room service, no food after 8 pm. The only nice, friendly and helpful person was Nikolai( bar tender) which helped me with issues he wasnโt supposed to. Also the price doesnโt match the quality!!!!!

Great location.
The hotel has carpets everywhere, which makes it feel warm and cozy.
The reception is open 24 hours, and the staff are helpful whenever you need something.
The room, furniture, and bathroom were all fine. Overall, I had a very good stay. Will stay again.
