Hotel Gault is located in Old Montreal. Our premium corner room provided ample space and all necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. Thanks to the large windows the room was flooded with natural light, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The friendly and welcoming reception staff greeted us every time with a smile and made their best to ensure that we felt like at home. The a la carte breakfast offered a reasonable variety and good quality, ensuring a great start to our day.

The hotels location in Old Montreal has its drawbacks. While it was convenient to explore the nearby harbour and highlights of the old town on foot, venturing into other districts required lengthy walks. The immediate area surrounding the hotel was partly unattractive, with an empty (parking?) lot and large construction cite nearby. The city council tried to improve the ambiance by projecting an art cinema on the walls of a desolated warehouse in the evening, but that didnt help much (partly because the movie that they bimmed was rather depressive). Hotel Gault has a pet-friendly policy. While it is great for the pet owners, those with allergies or sensitivity to animals should take this into account when booking the place.

Great hotel, it looks modern, great location, the beds are comfortable, additional the toiletries and set-up in the mini bar, they even leave a welcome letter (the devil is in the detail). Breakfast was also great. And the most important part is the personnel, they are extremely attentive, which makes the stay even better.

The chairs in the bedroom were a bit dusty and one of them had a hole in it. Not something to be worried about, but keeping the chairs in good shape is something that can make the room shine even more.

I cant describe in words how amazing this hotel and the entire staff is. My partner and I stayed for 5 nights initially we loved it so much we extended our stay by 3 nights and the hotel also gave us an upgrade. I definitely recommend this hotel to everyone if you are debating about booking it. The LOCATION is excellent as well, it is within walking distance to mostly everything in Old Port. The staff goes above and beyond in making your stay amazing. The service was incredible. We could eat breakfast in our room which was a really big plus as we were always running late. Special thanks to Osman at the front desk for making our stay extra special and giving us all the tips on what to do and how to get around. We will definitely stay at this hotel when we come back to Old Port.

The room was very clean. A good size very quite and modern. We would have appreciated having a comfy sofa/chairs in the room to be able to relax on other than the bed.

The house keeping wasnt available at all times, we requested for a bottle of water at around 4 in the afternoon and was told to wait till 6 to receive it as thats when house keeping will be available

This is not specific to just the hotel but a lot of establishments in Old Montreal do not have easy accessibility for baby strollers and you always have to carry the strollers up and down the stairs to enter a lot of the buildings which can easily become stressful if you are visiting a lot of places with a baby in a stroller.

Spent 5 nights at Hotel Gault with our 2 year old and had a lovely time. Location was unbeatable, close to Old Montreal, the harbour, and metro stations / bus stops. Lots of food options within walking distance. Staff were very professional and made us feel welcome. We liked the stylish design and vibe of the hotel and our room, which was spacious and comfortable

It was a little bit pricey but we were there in August in high season when nothing is cheap in Montreal, and we had a large room with breakfast included so it wasn't outrageous.

The hotel's location in Old Montreal was perfect for us and made it easy to explore. Check-in was smooth and quick. We were pleased with the unexpected upgrade to a loft room with a terrace, which was roomy and comfortable. The staff we encountered were all friendly and helpful!

Given how much we liked the hotel itself, we really hoped the food would be equally good. To be fair, the breakfasts were okay but could have been better. For example, the avocado toast had no seasoning. The salad had hardly any dressing, and the extra dressing provided was basically just olive oil. We were fortunate to have breakfast included with our stay (thank you booking.com), but the prices seemed on the very high side for what was offered.

Delicious choices for breakfast, plus good lattes! Comfortable bed - not too hard, not too soft. Quiet - there's always going to be a little noise staying so close to others but it wasn't invasive.

The only small downside to this hotel is the few steps leading into the hotel. I didn't note a wheelchair-friendly entrance (though I wasn't looking for one) but it wouldn't be a good choice for someone with mobility issues.

Our room (520) was lovely - huge, well-equipped and with a balcony. The location is good, just 5 minutes from the old port area with restaurants, art galleries, shops and bars. The decoration in the hotel is really nice and the reception staff were great, too.

Breakfast was odd. It is a la carte only and so you're in the kitchen's hands in terms of timings and quantity. The food itself was good when it arrived, but it was very slow on day 1, items were often missing and had to be chased (eg butter, jam) and some promised items (juice) didn't arrive on either day we stayed. Coffee was also stone-cold on day 2. A buffet for cereal, pastries etc would be much better with the cooked items being ordered off a menu.

Classy hotel, large studio with modern bathroom and tub. Quiet area, on the historic gaslight lamp street, great walking distance to most locations. Lobby, table service, and bar with fireplace and sitting area are chill and comfy. Five Guys is down the street and are super fast, tasty diner style grub. Breakfast is amazing, if it is included in your booking.

The stairs at entry are steep, if you have large luggage. Staff are friendly and helped with bags of course. I recommend popping into reception to ask for help first!

I was upgraded in a suite, very spacious and clean. Great staff, very welcoming and accommodating.

The bed was too soft and the smell of the dry cleaning of the bedsheets was too strong.

Everything was great, large comfortable room, amazing breakfast, good service. Couldn't fault them on anything.

I didn't like that we only stayed one night!

Everything was to our liking. Staff was excellentcourteous and attentive. Room was comfortable, spacious and well-supplied. Location was good for us.

Room lighting was not optimal, but we made it work. Room felt dark most of the time, but gray weather didnt help! Was fine.

This hotel is near the metro and also access to the Montreal underground city. The staff is friendly and helpful. The service is great and everything is clean.
