Room was clean and modern. It was small (and the desk wasn't functional because it was too close to the bed) but it had everything we needed. There was a small refrigerator and microwave and AC but we didn't use any of those this time. We did use the safe in the closet. Bed was comfortable and towels were very nice. Shower had great water pressure and hot water. Location was great for visiting downtown and Old Town. We walked or rode Bixi bikes to Old Town, waterfront, and Biosphere.

We could hear people walking and talking in the halls very clearly. Hotel doesn't have carpeting which is good for being clean/less dust my opinion, but I think it made sounds louder. I would definitely stay again, but I would use foam ear plugs for sleeping. Also, bathroom did not have a place to hang large towels, only small hand towel rack. No shower curtain or rod either.

Close to Hop On Bus, interesting neighborhood, shops and restaurants. We loved the history and museums were very informative. The riverfront is beautiful and we really enjoyed the cruise..
Construction everywhere prevented us from going back to sites that we would have otherwise visited.

I would have preferred a few more basic kitchen supplies (cups, plate, cutlery, kettle).
There was also a mouse in the room that I saw when I first got in. Which was ah... not ideal. I let the staff know and they offered to move me to another room, but where honest in saying that it was just as likely to have them.

Location was great near the tourist attractions and transit. Walking distance to most things downtown. There is a IGA grocery store with alcohol very close and a few restaurants/fast food.
Staff were very professional spoke English and always eager to assist.
Loved having a microwave and mini fridge in the room to cut down eating out costs.

I was there for 6 days and my room was never cleaned during my stay. Not even bed made. For the price I expected to at least get a quick daily refresh. However, I never asked if they could do my room... but should be mentioned in the listing that consecutive days will not have room cleaning.
Some of the areas around the hotel are a bit sketchy, but as a solo female traveler - I never had any issues. Pretty quickly I learned that it was safe and normal if you keep to yourself.
The hotel is older which makes for some nice charm, but the updates on top of everything was really just a Band-Aid. Also because of the older area and large city they do have rodent issues that I was told they are actively managing.
There was no coffee in the room, but there was a Keurig in the lobby where coffee was available for guests 24/7.

There was a leak on my sink that caused water to accumulate below the sink. Obviously, the building is still under renovation so they may fix this. The shower handle also comes off. Again, still under renovation. But the location is great! Everything is accessible on St. Catherine St. Food, shops, bars etc.
The room could have a better shade so one can sleep. It is too bright when the sun comes up. They should add blinds that could make the room darker in the morning when the guest wants to rest some more.

The location was right downtown close to everything. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.
The room was tiny. The king size bed occupied 90% of the room with only a foot around it on any side to move around. The bathroom was the size of a closet and you had to sit on the toilet to close the door. There was a tub but no way to have a bath only a shower. There was no coffee pot in the room and the microwave did not work. The elevator only went to the third floor. If you were on the fourth floor like we were you had to go down a flight of stairs to the elevator and down three flights to use the coffee machine or microwave in the lobby. The thermostat did not work either. We spent two days with the temperature at 78 with no way to lower it. The laundry from cleaning the rooms sat in a pile on the floor for 24 hours at the end of the hall.

The location is excellent. Everything is nearby. The hotel staff are so gentle and helpful. The front desk person: Yannick; helped us to make a tour plan in Montreal city.
The cleaning lady was super nice and whenever we asked for something, she gave it. They do not clean the floor and that is little bit upsetting.

Location is AMAZING. Super convenient for people who love the nightlife. Easy to walk to the metro, bus station and bars. Lots of groceries, depanneurs and pharmacies around.

The staff were originally sympathetic for complaints of television Remote controller and minor peculiarities and housekeeping had acknowledged these problems, renovations and many more for this particular degrading neighbourhood.
For the cost, minus the ripoff of my deposit, $212 is okay for two nights en centre ville.
Liked the tile work and bathroom without shower doors nor curtain. Lol

The place has greatly improved. The rooms are stellar. Clean, comfortable, and modernized facilities. Quiet, as I rarely heard the guests in the adjoining rooms. Great location, with easy access to parking and other amenities. An all around nice stay. Will be back for sure.
I was very disappointed that there was not coffee available in the lobby. That seems to be a simple enough accommodation for folks paying to stay there since there are no coffee makers in the rooms. Good thing I decided to bring one with me or I would have been very perturbed if I had to go out in the morning to get my coffee! The only qualm I have in an otherwise stellar review.

Amazing bathroom and shower, super friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location and also had Netflix to access and had a nice fridge and microwave in the room which were all very helpful! Finally the AC was brand new and worked so well and safe in the closet. The overall look was so nice and new the lighting were awesome too

The night staff were friendly
The morning staff were really rude, and stand offish. This shouldn’t be called a hotel. When I asked for the sheets to be cleaned (we found faecal stains and wine stains on the bedding upon arrival), the response was confusion and that we hadn’t stayed long enough for the room to be cleaned. The desk staff actually tried to charge us extra for the room to be cleaned. What actually ended up happening was the room wasn’t cleaned during the entire stay, and to get new bedding, I had to speak to the night staff who led me to the store and I had to get it all myself and replace the bedding myself. We were promised it would be cleaned but it wasn’t and we were woken up art 6:42am on the morning of the middle of our stay hearing the cleaning staff admit the rooms on our floor hadn’t been cleaned. The fire alarm was being tested during the stay but it was because the electricity staff were coming to do some maintenance which no one was told about. So we left the room but weren’t told anything at all. Overall, a frankly nightmare of a stay with the photos being incredibly misleading, the room being filthy and the amenities being so awful. I don’t know why we paid so much, especially as the standard has clearly dropped since we booked

The management is pathetic, the hygiene level is zero.
Our check in time was 4:00 , we reached at 4:00, but the room was not ready and clean. The management didn’t bothered to keep the room ready for us in advance, because we booked through booking.com and not through Air bnb. Then finally after a long wait we got our room at 5:30pm. That too the room was not properly clean, the towels were having yellow spots .
