The rooms were very nicely decorated, and veré very cool.

We thought the staff was ok but they definitely don’t go out of their way to give you a good experience. Check in was at 3, we were hoping to check in a bit early, we got there at 2:54 and our room wasn’t ready. They made us wait 20 minutes past the proper check on time and we had to re schedule the rest of our days. I think for a hotel of this calibre or what they advertise to be is unacceptable. I have never waited past the check in time to be checked in, ever. They didn’t offer to accommodate us in another room or anything. They had a vinyl player that you couldn’t use because they speaker would Make a funny sound, also, all of the vinyls were in bad shape and would skip. The television wasn’t a smart TV so we couldn’t watch anything like Netflix or prime. It had 16 channels and it would glitch so the sound would cut and the tv would freeze up on parts. There are no plugs on the side of the bed to charge our phones. Just a couple on the one side and nothing else. The mini bar and snacks was very cute, and very good snacks, but the alcohol was 4-5 times more than at a store which I thick was a bit much.

Staff was very helpful, attentive, and friendly. I asked for conditioner and towels and they were both sent promptly. There are tons of amazing restaurants in walking distance. All of the fixtures and accessories in the rooms were cute (chair matched the wallpaper!); the building has a lot of history and that is made apparent which is very cool. Bathroom was clean and modern, awesome shower head

Very beautiful building, inside and out. LP player in the room, French Press coffee maker, velvet curtains, beautiful upholstery and wallpaper, very complete mini-bar/snacks, big walk-in shower, friendly staff.

Our room wasn't ready on time, but I understand staffing problems. Somehow, our mattress was uncomfortable? I don’t have a strong preference in mattress types, but this was not my vibe. One of the restaurants, The Civic, is on the website but appears to be closed.

Fantastic rooftop bar and restaurant with great views over Toronto. Food was very good.

Very disappointed with this hotel, very overpriced for basic accommodation, definitely not a boutique hotel as we were expecting, air conditioning was so noisy it could not be us used except if we were out, staff were very average. I would not recommend this hotel.

This was a beautiful boutique hotel. The major chains have nothing on this gem. Parking across the street was easy and simple to pay for. I appreciated the high security and by that I mean having to swipe a key card to access the lobby at night and the elevators. The beds were really comfortable and aside from some markings on the walls, the rooms were clean and in good condition. The bathroom was smaller but served its’ purpose. The water pressure was nice. The wifi was reliable.

After a night out, I wanted to watch TV before falling asleep. Unfortunately the TV did not work, no channels would come in. I wasn’t going to bother the attendant at 1:00 AM so I just let it go.

The location was good for my stay. Very nice hotel, decorated to a high standard. Housekeeping excellent as were reception staff. It was handy having the water dispenser available. I only ate in the bistro, it was a nice space with very attentive staff.

The hotel was described as having sound proofed rooms, they weren’t. That said, they were no better or worse for noise than any other hotel. It would have been nice to have a larger reception area or a separate lounge area to sit in but the rooms were so nice you could manage without.

Positives:: the room was decorated beautifully and was clean. Loved the record player and the French press . The lobby and cafe were beautiful.

Negative: Check out was noon. At about 12:15 the front desk texted me to ask if we were leaving— I responded “yes we are just now leaving.” We got down to the front desk around 12:30. She charged us $30 for being late by 30 min which seemed a bit rude. Also negative: we are vegan and there wasn’t really anything good for us to eat in the cafe downstairs. We just had coffee. Please increase vegan offerings

This was a cool retro hotel which is pitched as a hotel in an area which is being more gentrified as the years go by. This is an excellent place if you're heading out to the Rebel Concert venue (We did and appreciated the 10 min Uber at 3:00am) . Its a 20 min Uber downtown depending on traffic. Staff were very helpful and awesome. Cool bars and restaurant in the hotel. If you like Best Westerns do not come here - you're not the type that would appreciate this hotel. Grabbed a parking spot for $30 at the rear of the hotel. Overall, its everything we expected and our room had plenty of amenities, clean, adequate shower and very very comfortable bed. Retro turntable and found Rolling Stones and Fleetwood Mac LPs in the room (or just bring your own for a retro feel). Could be noisy late night from private functions in the roof top bar but we are night owls and loved the vibe here. We are 60 and 50 year old empty nesters and loved the energy of the area and accessibility to downtown. We will definitely stay here again. Don't expect standard characterless hotel America here - this place has history and charm so embrace it.

The location. The friendliness and helpfulness of the cleaning staff. Our server at the restaurant. Ease of transportation to and from the hotel. Water and ice facilities outside the room were super handy. The elevator was very quick and we never had to wait for it.

We found the lighting poor. The lights in our room were dim to non-existent above the bed. And we found similar at the main restaurant at night. The water system in the bathroom was also tricky, it would stop and start often when using it.

A great funky hotel in the heart of Lesliville. The rooftop restaurant was amazing, and the brunch downstairs was great. If you are staying in the east end it was a great location and was easy for us to access the area with the streetcar right outside the hotel.

It is an old building so it is to be expected that it is quite loud. You can hear the room next door to you. The room was a little dark as well, I think better lighting could be an easy fix to this. We stayed here because of the location was convenient for us, but I think there are hotels that the value you get for your money is higher, but that is not to say this Broadview wasn't great.

Due to maintenance, the room we booked was no longer available and we were 'upgraded' to a different room. This room had the worst street noise in a hotel room I have ever heard. It was awful. We complained and only one other room was available, but that had different and equally bad noise issues. We hardly slept. Provided feedback upon departure that they should put more soundproofed windows. It was our second stay there (last time had a room on the other side), but never again.

We loved the record player and records in our room! It was my birthday and what a gift to have Joni Mitchell’s Blue album!! The whole vibe of the hotel feels New York boutique and we loved that! The staff were super accommodating and friendly.

That it was a boutique hotel, and it was close to The Opera House where my friend and his band were performing. I requested a room with a bathtub due to back problems, and they were able to accommodate me. I also had the choice of room service or go down to The Bistro to eat.

That they need to add soda/ iced tea prices to their room service menus.

Excellent location. The immediate neighborhood is great to spend time in plus the area is well connected to the downtown and expressways. Public transit very accessible to the hotel. It is a very beautiful building and the 7th Floor terrace offers amazing views. The staff were very helpful for a variety of questions.

We found the lighting in the room a bit dull for task oriented activities. Since the hotel is at a busy corner some, who are not used to city noises, might find it a bit noisey overnight. Parking offerings at the hotel are limited.

The hotel was super close to the venue we were going to for a concert. That is why I chose it. I picked a “deluxe” king room with CITY VIEWS. The window was tiny and super high so we couldn’t see out of it. All we could see from afar was a crane. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.

Parking was “first come first serve” and there were few spots. It was down an alley filled with garbage totes and not close. ALL were taken anyways so I had to pay an absorbent amount to park in the public parking lot across the street. There was an EXTRA $250 security deposit charged which is extremely high for an average hotel. No luggage racks for suitcases.

The location was excellent to reach the co-working space I had meetings in. Toronto is a big city with many restaurants and bars spread around. So depending on your preferences the location of a hotel can be good or not so passing. For me this hotel was in a good location with many good options outside. The staff is friendly and attentive. The bistro at the entrance level has delicious options. I loved my avocado toast. The room has all the amenities you may need and it's designed with comfort in focus. I enjoyed the style of the decoration as well. If you want to stay in the east side, just book this hotel without any hesitation. You'll love it.

Couldn't adjust the heating in the room. And the water bottle was always taken when cleaning the room, their water station in the hallway is great but when they take the bottle away, it becomes a bit difficult to stay hydrated :)

We arrived at the Broadview very early after a long and difficult journey. The front desk staff were wonderfully accommodating in arranging for an early check in.
