Coffee mugs and cutlery shown the sign of use, a cleaners tried to walk in at 7am albeit we left the tag outside not to be disturbed etc etc. What really spoiled our experience was lack of communication and the inability to securely store our luggage on the day of check-out. We had to unfortunately take it with us to Gornergrat which totally limited us to visit attractions on the railway route :(.

The lights in the room were okay, but a little more would have been welcome. Automatic lights come on when walking upstairs at nite but recommend reconfiguring so they come on quicker when going downstairs at nite.

It was small and cozy and it was right by the river so the morning air felt great ! Also, it was not too far away from the famous Toblerone mountain everyone goes to.
The food was a little on the pricer side but I also understand because we are in the mountains and I’m not use to it because i travel from the US. Also I wish there was more toilet paper in the shared bathroom because the person who i was sharing the bathroom with kept leaving it empty lol…

We had a great time staying here. Check in was easy and we were surprised at the amazing view we had from our room right onto the Matterhorn. We had our breakfast and dinner which we brought on the balcony overlooking the mountain.
The room was overall clean, but there were a few places (under the bed), we felt like could have been cleaned better.

Fantastic view of the Matterhorn and the chance to stay in a cozy traditional Swiss house. Room was so comfortable and we slept so well. Loved the balcony! Staff were great at communicating quickly. Excellent location. Clean rooms and nice bath! Good supply of towels in the room and easy self check in.

The hotel offered a "simple" breakfast if you asked for it with typical European fare of some sliced meats, cheese yogurt and cold cereals. Hot tea or coffee was available as well as good orange juice. There is a wonderful Italian restaurant just up the street that offers pasta, pizza and seafood dishes. We ate there once for lunch and again for dinner. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and would stay there again if traveling in that area.
You need to adjust your expectations as to what to expect. The hotel is an older building without any elevators so keep that in mind. We chose to walk from the train station in Zermatt but we could have easily caught a golf cart sort of shuttle. The room was small but very serviceable.

There was a double booking problem with our room but it was quickly resolved by the lady in the restaurant downstairs & we got a larger room than we had booked, so no complaints. We happen to get a room with matterhorn peak view. So nice! 6mins walk from bahnhofstrasse. Strategic location in the city. Close to the river. Room size is decent. But the ceiling is very low if you are 170 above you might feel a little bit cramped. Bathroom with bathtub.

I was in Zermatt with my mountain bike, so I really appreciated having access to a safe, large and lockable place for my bike and leaving luggage the day we left.
The location is excellent !!!! I loved hearing the river running beside the hotel. The staff cleaning the hotel in the morning were helpful.
I was lucky that I slept with ear plugs because it was loud when guests come home late at night and when othes left very early in the morning. This is not that hotel's fault !!!! That is how it is with very old buildings and wooden walls and floors.

Location was great. I enjoyed being in the center of town but away somewhat from the commercial area. Very convenient to walk everywhere I wanted to go. Room was comfortable and very clean. I had a small balcony with a view of the Matterhorn (when it decided to show itself). The room was a good value although the breakfast that I paid extra to have was limited, but I did get a really nice cappuccino.
Hotel does not have a staff person present through the night and access to the building needs to be tightened up. We had an incident with someone who was not supposed to be in the hotel getting in during the night.

The hotel located near the center of the town which is convenient. The hotel room has its own sink which is great and the view outside of the window is good. However one of their staff kept on asking if I have paid city tax every time she met me. She asked me four to five times during my one night stay which makes me feel uncomfortable as I already paid at the first place and another reception lady already took a photo of my receipt during check in. I didn’t get what’s the keep on asking city tax for? The room floor was not vacuum cleaned but the shared bathroom was good cleaned.

Zermatt is a nice town. Just the small car free town to move around. Nothing much if you do not want to go to Mt Matterhorn. This hotel location is fantastic. In the middle of the town. Next to a happening pub- Harry's Bar, where I can enjoy the nice music in my room or enjoy the music at the balcony. The pub close early though. I don't hear any noise after 9 plus at night. The whole street become very quite. This hotel is small. Just few rooms. Room size is good. Spacious. It provide few things which you need in the room. Coffee machine, tea, kettle, bed room slippers and simple breakfast which is nice.
The coffee aunty is nice and friendly. She take care of the room cleaning too.
I stayed there for 2 nights. Room is comfortable and cozy with attached bathroom. Unblock Matterhorn view from my balcony.
You are allowed to leave your luggage in the café and main door is locked with pin lock.
The only issue is there is no lift in this small 2 storey plus attic hotel. My room is on the 2nd floor.
It is challenging to carry my 28" heavy luggage up the narrow staircase.
It is also short walk to the Train Station.
Surrounded by eateries and shops. Migros Supermarket is just round the corner.
This hotel itself has a restaurant too.
Although I find the room rate at a high side but it is worth the stay. I had a wonderful 2 nights there.

Typical Swiss mountain hotel room with legit Matterhorn view. Easy walk from train station and roughly half way between the two lift stations. Bus stops very close. Very nice restaurant owned by hotel on-site. Typical varied and tasty breakfast. Reasonably priced for Zermatt.
A bit confusing at self check-in initially, but popping in to the restaurant sorted out questions. No hotel day staff exists (though ok for us). The electronic keypad outdoor door on the ski room (across street in a small building) was very stubborn in cold weather and took about 5-10 minutes to open at check-in. Noisy bar across from rooms but quiet from 7 pm.

We loved Le Mazot Zermatt. The location is ideal for access to everything in the city. The room was cozy and comfortable and we LOVED the view of Matterhorn. The breakfast was great. While some people would be turned off by being right next to Harry's Ski Bar, we loved the music and people watching.
Since Le Mazot is right in the middle of town, there is some noise at night from delivery vehicles. There was also a musty smell in the bathroom. We think this is from the older plumbing in the area.
