The location was excellent - perfect to see museums, the cathedral, the old town, and 2 minutes walk to the train station. There were fabulous ethnic restaurants nearby and the room was wonderful for the price. The staff was exceptional.
My only issue was the firewall on the wifi that prevented me accessing my email account and some websites I was using. Otherwise the connection and speed were great.

Next time definitely would look for better place for the price we paid.

This is like my home because I know the hotel for over 13 years. It is centrally located. The staff is like family to me. Most have been there since I started staying here over a decade ago. So helpful and friendly. They feel very resonsible for the guests and ensure your safety and comfort. They speak excellent English. Rooms are cosy, clean and comfortable. Very safe for a lady travelling alone. All required amenities are available. Lovely breakfast suitable for vegetarians like me too. Great wifi connectivity available free. Can strongly recommend.
I like everything about this hotel which keeps me coming back for the last 13 years. If a room is available during my visits to Frankfurt Hotel Apollo is my first choice.

The area outside of the hotel was so bad. I found only drunk people roaming in nearby area, so I would not prefer to go there with my family.
It's a winter and there was no hot water. A receptionist told me to wait 4-5 minutes, I waited the water was little warm just for 30 sec. Then again it was very cold water.
I had to take bath with very cold water, that was the worst part.

The staff was very friendly and reacting promptly. The room was astonishingly quiet facing the back courtyard. The quarter is normally pretty noisy. I loved the huge tree I was facing.
Sometimes people smoked in the open entrance door and the smoke moved through the staircase/building.

Very near to the Frankfurt station. Like a 5 minute walk. That's been the only plus here. There are lots of eateries nearby.

The location is the main problem. While it is literally a five minutes walk from the Frankfurt main station, the street the hotel is on very noisy. The hotel rooms are not all sound proof. Couple of pubs and bars also near by. People are partying outside on the road, loud music from nearby(may be from pub?) till 2-3AM in the morning. Also, roads/street does not feel very safe at the nights.
There is a tram line also along the road, so you could hear that sound. Totally, difficult to sleep.
Also, the breakfast provided is very "basic".

A really good budget hotel. It was near the station, clean and the staff were friendly. The breakfast was tasty with a reasonable variety. Beds were very comfortable and the shower good.
A kettle in the room would be ideal, but at the price, the hotel was very good value.

Overall the rooms alright, looks clean though tbh seeing a cockroach crawl out of your shower on the last morning isnt great

unexpected guests while showering aka the cockroach never asked for consent, hotels located on a really sketchy street it didnt feel safe at all early morning or dark and i was harassed multiple times by homeless people. One dude even threatened me with a chain near the hotel. Not the hotels fault obviously but the locations terrible without lowering your standards of safety
