The location is great if you want to explore downtown, nice decorations, the furniture is new, the room is clean and the bed is comfortable, clean bathroom + water heater.
Thanks to the staff Mr.Mustafa, Mr. Islam, and to the lady who was throwing me the keys of the building at 1 am :)
The building entrance is old and not maintained but at the hotel floor its a different world,
The sheets doesn't smell fresh,
you can hear the flushed water noise all night it was a bit annoying
building entrance closes with a chain after 12am and you have to ring the doorbell of the hotel
3rd-4th floor and no lift ( stairs were easy to climb )
a mini fridge would be a great addition

Location is very central and great. We could walk to Tahrir square. There are every kind of shops around so we could find anything we need.
Staff were very kind, smiling and eager to meet our needs. Especially I am thankful to the manager. They upgraded our room without extra charge due to that we were uncomfortable. They allowed us to check out a couple hours later and to leave our luggage to the reception. They even helped us to carry them downstairs.
The hotel and the room were clean and comfortable. I liked the vibe.
I genuinely recommend this hotel to solo, couple and friends travellers.
Double room with private bathroom is okay but the isolation is very poor. We could hear the people next door and it was really unpleasant. And we didnโt know about this when we booked the room. Thankfully, the hotel manager upgraded our room to deluxe one without extra charge so we could stay peacefully. I strongly recommend only the deluxe room to those who value privacy.
Due to central location, it was noisy during the day till midnight. We didnโt experience any sleep trouble alhamdulillah but I donโt recommend to those who are extra extra sensitive to noise.
There were no slippers. So bring your own slippers :)

I recently stayed at the Gresham Hotel with my family and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is located in the downtown area, making it a convenient base for exploring the city. Additionally, the hotel offers excellent value for money, with very reasonable prices for the high-quality room and service. I would like to give a special thank you to staff members Islam and Husam, who both provided exceptional service during our stay. Islam helped us carry our luggage and was incredibly responsive to our needs, while Husam was supportive and friendly in helping us find a room that suited our budget and offered help whenever needed.
Overall, I highly recommend the Gresham Hotel for families looking for a convenient location, excellent value for money, comfortable rooms, and outstanding service. Thank you to the entire team, especially Islam and Husam, for making our stay so memorable!

Outstanding location at the centre of Downtown Cairo.It is a clean, modern and very authentically Egyptian hotel.The staff are lovely and there is a good standard of English spoken which means communication is easy. Definitely stay here if you can....and don't be put off by what you read about the entrance to the hotel......most comments are accurate and fair but don't be put off...... it's a great place to stay
I am just going to repeat what many others have said But do not let anything I say put you off staying here.
The little side road the entrance is situated on is really grotty, and there are usually a number of scruffy workmen hanging around in front of the hotel.The actual entrance is equally dirty and off-putting. You turn left before a broken lift and have to walk up three flights of stairs. These are also dirty, litter- strewn, and you will probably see flea infested cats. On the two floors you pass you will come across men who are working in the other "units" within the building
However......it is actually all perfectly safe and when you get to the hotel you will be amazed at how lovely the hotel is.

This hotel is located right in downtown Cairo, the area is busy with a lot of stores and food options around. The location on Google maps is not correct, the entrance is in an alley. You have to go up 3 floors to get to the hotel. The first two floors of the building are very dirty and not very inviting, however when you arrive to the hotel everything is clean and modern. There is no working elevator. The bed was comfortable and the shower works with an electric boiler which you have to plug. Note that the boiler needs some time to fill up before you can have a warm shower. Staff (Islam) is friendly and helpful. Breakfast and towels are not provided. Overall an Ok options for 1 night in Cairo.

The hotel is on the 3rd floor and it donโt have lift/elevator, the stairs are very long and rounded not like normal stairs and itโs very tiring. The entrance of the building it looks scary and it looks like an abandoned building no lights very dusty, cats everywhere and trash on the stairs and entrance of the building of the hotel. It took me 30 minutes to find the hotel because it didnโt have a hotel names in the streets or the building. But you gonna. Find a very old sign inside of the building itโs says the name of the building. ( If you have elderly, babies, sick people on people with asma) I donโt recommend.

The location is great in the middle of downtown, the room size is very good, large bathroom and many electric plugs. Overall it's a great value for money and I had a pleasant stay. Building entrance is not great as the building is old, but the hotel itself is lovely, well decorated, spacious and well maintained.
No elevator and you have to go up to the 3rd floor using the stairs.
