The location is just perfect, breakfast is super delicious and has a lot of options (gluten free as well). Before having a breakfast they offer and recommend to drink ginger shots. I really liked the design of the hotel, so many details, they even have a Photo Booth.
The shower is separated from the bathroom and there was no curtain in the shower, so if you are traveling with someone you are not so close to, maybe you should specify this moment when booking.

The hotel and our stay there exceeded both my expectations and those of my partner. The check-in and check-out processes were very simple and efficient. Coming from Tallinn, getting from the port to the hotel was incredibly easy—just one tram, which literally stops at the corner of the hotel.
In terms of amenities, everything was very good. Personally, I pay special attention to the bathroom, and the heated tiles were a huge plus, especially considering the very low winter temperatures. The room was spotless and extremely well organized. As a smoker, I also appreciated the pleasant outdoor area in front of the hotel, with tables and ashtrays available.
The only suggestion I might make is that, since it was heavily snowing during our stay and we inevitably brought in snow and mud from outside, it could be helpful to have a small shoe-cleaning machine at the entrance. This would make it easier to keep all common areas and the rooms clean, as we did bring in some water and had to wipe it up ourselves out of respect for the room and the management.
Overall, it was an excellent experience. If I visit Helsinki again, I will definitely choose this hotel and highly recommend it without hesitation. Finally, I should mention that it is located in an excellent area, close to many points of interest in the city. Congratulations to the people managing it—it is clear that they truly love what they do.

Location is amazing, we almost never had to walk more than 20 minutes to any attraction point. Also there're plenty of food places close by. The room is designed very tastefully and also is pretty spacious. Staff was friendly and spoke English perfectly.
Wifi was without a password, which worried me a bit. The entrance to the hotel is also a bar and it might or might not be a problem depending on your preferences.

I didn't have the breakfast at Hobo, but pro tip is to go to the Fazer cafe across the street - they have a very affordable and excellent breakfast buffet every day of the week.

Breakfast was well organised, and with good variety, including hot oat porridge, which is very good in the winter.
I can't get used to Europe-style high square pillows. So a pillow choice would have been good.

The hotel has great facilities, a comfortable bed, and an excellent shower. The staff were kind and helpful, and the location is very convenient. The breakfast itself is quite good, with a wide variety of options.
The bathroom layout is quite inconvenient. The sliding glass door is very noisy and does not provide any sound insulation between the bathroom and the bedroom. This can be disruptive, as opening or closing the door may wake the person you’re sharing the room with. It also offers very little privacy when using the toilet.
In addition, the breakfast area tends to be overcrowded. There doesn’t seem to be enough staff to keep tables clean and available, which makes it difficult to find a place to sit.

We loved the free games in the lobby, and it had nice vibes—it definitely gets trendy and louder by evening for those craving a place with a live DJ, drinks, etc.
Our room was SO quiet. Like, pindrop quiet, and I never heard our neighbors even though I know the room next door had people staying. That's a huge win for me.
My group had 4 kids, and bizarrely, none of them really liked the breakfast buffet—and 3 of the 4 are usually terrific eaters). The eggs were super runny (both the 6/7 minute boiled eggs and the scrambled), and they weren't feeling the rest of the options during our two mornings at the breakfast bar.
Our room had a glass wall into the bathroom—something I HATE in a hotel room, since you can't use the bathroom at night without blazing a light into the entire room. I felt like I wasn't quite cool enough for this place. I was also surprised there was no kettle (and certainly nothing handy like a mini fridge).
