Convenient location in central Angers. Clean modern room. Staff was English speaking and pleasant. Elevators worked once you got to the first floor.
We wanted to drop our bags off but there was no drop off space in front of the hotel so we had to schlep our bags from a few blocks away. There were steps up to the small welcome desk with heavy bags. No amenities in the room - no shampoo, no wash cloths. Beds were not particularly comfortable.

The shower drainage was quickly up to ankles— it was scary!! The room was BEYOND tiny! Things were very poorly equipped or none with amenities no coffee, no tissues in the room, not proper toiletries like soaps, towels.. They didn’t have access to a freezer. The elevator was on the 1st floor not on the floor “0”. I wonder what happened to the disabled or elders…

The staff were very pleasant the location isn't too far from city centre, 10 min walk. Best thing was the lively brasserie on the ground floor, good beer and food.
Parking! although we were very fortunate to find on street parking behind the hotel, it was very expensive as being close to the railway station. The 'municipal' underground parking was closed off, and finding the way into it was very badly signed. The lift only operates from the 1st floor so climbing up and down a set of stairs from reception was certainly NOT CLEAR in hotel description.

No air conditioning (even in early June) and a room that was difficult to ventilate, despite the fan, meant we had a poor nights sleep. Breakfast overpriced - go to one of the boulangeries over the road.

The staff in the brasserie attached to the hotel were welcoming and polite. The food was excellent.
The Reception staff were a little brusque and as there were no tea facilities in the room we found a small kitchen on the 1st floor that we assumed was for families. We made a tea using our own tea bags and the reception lady came up and frowned. We were charged 6€ for hot water as there were no kettles on the room! Daylight robbery!!

Very well-located hotel just across from the train station. Nearby reasonably priced multi-story car-park available. Rooms are comfortable. Breakfast is good. Staff very friendly. There is a restaurant on the ground floor which was very good. Plenty of other places to eat in the area. Hotel breakfast good. Within walking distance of the chateau and cathedral. Happy to recommend.
The duvets were a little heavy for the time of year.

The proximity to the train station, the cleanliness, the tidiness, the very friendly and professional staff.
Reduced space in the room, I heard the neighbors during the night, I bumped twice in the step to enter the bathroom, and I got a cut above my elbow when I bumped it on the sharp corner of the shelf above the toilet (it could use some smoothing or protection with soft sealant or something).
