Great location in the centre, comfortable bed and room was clean. Great for a weekend break. The shower was great and a good size. Fredh towels and clean bedding. They were also helpful when I needed medication stored. You have breakfast and cafes all around you.
There was a large music festival and because you are so central there was a lot of noise. Take earplugs, and you'll be fine. There is 1 flight of steps to check in and then another 2 to the rooms on floor 2. It's not too bad, but be mindful if you struggle. There is no fridge in the room either.

I booked a room with 2 beds & it was confirmed a month prior to my arrival. However, when I arrived I was told there were no rooms with 2 beds available & I was not given a reason as to why that happened. I was told sorry. It was too late to book another room so I was stuck with what I did not pay for.

Turned out to be a really good short break in an interesting city.

The staff was warm, kind, and very very competent. They provided us with additional information and even offered us a larger room at same rate (on the base of availabity of course). The whole structure was functional and very clean; the reception is 24/24. The hotel is close to the city center, a bus and metro stop as well as the major attractions; there's plenty of bars, restaurants, shops of all kinds, including a huge mall just around the corner. Really recommended for both work trips and cultural holidays!

Therefore, no bathroom privacy! However, everything else about the hotel was excellent and the staff really helpful and friendly.

Great location .. right in the middle of town, and room was good, bed comfy, bathroom clean. Slight trouble finding the parking but all turned out fine.
Shower flooded as there was a drainage problem. When we asked for new towels after mopping up copious amounts of water, all they left us was two bath mats. Maybe due to a language problem. With a sprained ankle, I had to climb four flights of stairs so not ideal. Very expensive for what we got.

Ideal location to visit Lille. Easy reach (walking distance) from Euro Lille (Eurostar station) and literally on top of the Christmas markets square. Lovely cheese spread for breakfast.
This was not an issue for me but people with scarce mobility may find it difficult to navigate this hotel, as it develops on several floors of steep stairs and no lift. The mattress is too soft for my taste. At night there was a strange buzzing noise, like a vibrating phone which carried on till the morning - not sure if it came from the hotel or outside, but if you have light sleep it may be very annoying.

The location was fantastic, central to everything in Lille that I wanted to see. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The bed was really comfortable.
The room had a coffee machine which was great but unfortunately the pods were not replenished during my three-night stay. I think it'd be good if some noise-reduction around common guest areas would be implemented - other guests coming and going and slamming their doors and having conversations right outside my door was a little disruptive at times. Otherwise, great stay!

It was not clear from the beginning that the hotel had no elevator. Walking up and down three flights of stairs every time was very exhausting and not explained from the beginning. Older people, or people with mobility problems should avoid it.

All the staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was perfect. Good view over the city. Comfortable bed, clean and tidy rooms. Good breakfast each day. Housekeeping came in each day and freshened the room up. Heater in the room warmed it up nicely and kept it at a constant.
My only niggle was that the shower head needed de-scaling and the hair dryer didn't work. But neither impacted us greatly. Shower worked well otherwise and the hair dryer was no loss.

Room was clean and nice. Warm and helpful staff.
It was quite warm so we would have loved to have the option to switch on the air conditioner. The nights was not so good bcos we could not sleep.

The best thing was the staff!! Everyone was so kind and helpful. Made us feel at home! Always a friendly greeting and took time to answer our questions and give advice.
The room wasn’t great. The way the bathroom was configured with a sliding door was terrible. No privacy when using the toilet. One of the lights in the bathroom was out and shower head holder was broken. Also, the code for the parking didn’t always work, so that was a bit frustrating.

What a wonderful place to stay, close to all the action yet far enough to be quiet at night. The rooms are very well appointed ,the air conditioning fantastic and the beds were incredibly comfortable There is not a lift but the staff was very accommodating to those who could use a hand with their luggage. With all the positives of this place the people who work here are its greatest strength. Anthony was especially helpful, he was very accommodating in meeting our needs and then going further in helping us with some difficult health situations. We didn’t lift a finger as he set up what needed to be done and we were more than appreciative!
We will return one day to this beautiful city and when we do, it will be a bee line to the Kanai Hotel. Highly recommended!
