- It is closed to the Train Station

- The rooms, towels and bed linen were dirty and smelled bad, the whole room smelled bad. In general the facilities are very old and in need of renovation.
-The bathroom has no privacy, keep this in mind if you are staying with several people who are not from the same family, it has a sliding door without a latch.
- The air conditioning did not work well, we were there in summer and we were sweating. Our room was one of the last ones, an attic that apart from being a labyrinth, it was hotter.
- The price does not justify the quality, I understand that we went in high season, but we stayed in another place a few meters from this one for half the price and much better quality. It's shameless that they charged so much and didn't even include breakfast. Take a good look if you go in high season, I'm sure you'll find better options.

la Valiz is a small quaint looking hotel in the busy area around Lille Flandres and Euralille. The labyrinth of floors and rooms that make up the hotel has a certain charm, and the room was small but very quirky and fun in it's layout and decoration. comfy bed and pretty good isolation to block out the noise from the busy street surrounding the hotel. will use this hotel again if i have to catch the early Eurostar for sure.
Other guests in the neighbouring room came barging in at 2 am and proceeded to take a shower, this is however not the fault of the hotel.

The staff were polite and the room was as expected. The breakfast was good, and reasonably priced. I liked the way you could get a free drink if you chose not to have your room cleaned while you were there. The location is very good. In general, I was happy to stay there
The bed was a bit too hard, and while the bathroom had everything needed it was a little cramped. The lift was old, though that is just the way the building is. The corridors were a bit dark, since the lights were on motion sensors and there were no windows.

Hotel is ideally located near the startups and offers a few parking places in parking nearby. The room for our family was okay.
The bathroom had a terrible smell from the sinks. Water bottles offered in the room were not replaced after a night and same for the coffee cups. They were not restocked. Bed linnen was too short for the bed and curled up during the night.
Even though I would still recommend this hotel. Price-quality wise I think it was a bit too expensive

It is inaccessible by car. There’s not even a possibility to park outside to offload luggage. It’s in a busy one way system with bus lanes outside which are cordoned off.
I called the hotel, they said that the parking reserved was 10 minutes walk. It was raining, 10 minutes for us usually translates to at least 15 plus having to stop to catch breath and check the route.
We gave up, parked at the station and booked into the Hilton.

The room was beautifully decorated. It was clean and very modern but the side of the bed that was by the window needed some kind of shelf to put things on, instead of them having to be on the floor.
