Brilliant location, so close to restaurants, bars, the metro and the main sights in Marseille. We stayed during our honeymoon and the hotel manager had left us a bouquet of flowers and a handwritten note which was a lovely touch

We initially booked the Cocoon room and it certainly was. It was tiny, I mean tiny. As a couple it was not viable. We were able to upgrade to a larger room with a view over the old port. This was so much better. The staff were great with that and in general were very helpful and friendly. The location is great in the heart of the Old Port. Perfect for exploring the old town.
Don’t book the Cocoon Rooms if you are travelling as a couple.

The staff were extremely helpful. Breakfast was great. And I loved the view out my window of Vieux Port. The room was modern and had sufficient electric outlets for my computer, cellphone, CPAP device, and hearing aids.
There was no reliable way to get a wake-up call loud enough for deaf people like me. The alarm on the Samsung TV never worked.

It was easy to get from the train station to the metro, which stopped across the road. The location was handy to many restaurants and shops.
On arrival, I had to carry my suitcase up about 40 steps. When I reached reception, I was told that someone would help me to carry my bags down when I checked out, which did not happen. The room I was given on the first floor, had a window which opened on to a courtyard, but because there were tables and chairs up against where my window was, I had to keep my windows and blinds closed. Some of the staff did not seem to want to be there and did not seem to want to interact with the guests.

If you cannot walk up the stairs with your luggage then this place is not for you.

The only person who was very disappointed was a man who was there on the day of our departure, we agreed with the hostess to take food and coffee since our flight was very early, and when we arrived, he was just rude to us. I would also like to say that there is only one minus in the scale, that it was cold, and the air conditioner was not set to a higher temperature. And so, in general, everything was good.

Staff were helpful and pleasant. Breakfast ok but unpleasant machine coffee.
The smell of rotting fish in the entrance is overpowering. This permeated into my room on the 2nd floor. A few of the reviews mention this but far fewer than I would expect. This is not the smell of fresh fish being cooked it is more like rotting discarded fish guts.
The room was basic but ok. I could stream Netflix to the TV from my phone.

Great location, close to everything, yet beautiful Port view, plenty of restaurant nearby, beach, cafes. Don't miss the hotel breakfast, very testy and great varieties. Yoga mat in the room was surprise bonus. Very helpful and polite staff. Beautifully decorated and spacious room. The metro station just around the corner.
The hotel offers the water but taste weird, buy your own. There is no fridge in the room and for me wasn't a problem. Other wise everything was great.
