Great location and views from 5th floor. Good sized balcony. Close to train station and it's quite a pretty area. There's a lift, always a good thing when travelling with small kids and large suitcases. Toilet separate from bathroom is also a rare plus for a budget hotel.
Staff a bit surly - perhaps understaffed and too busy(?) So maybe a better reflection on the hotel and not the individual.

Glass door at the elevator entrance. Poor quality entrance door to the room with a complete lack of sound insulation. The towels were stained and had an unpleasant smell. It also happened with the pillows, especially the decorative one, it had a terrible smell. All the bed linen did not smell fresh. The hairdryer was missing. There is no kettle. There was soap only in the shower. The plug in the sink did not allow the water to drain; I had to take it out.

The bathroom in room 304 was too small and also very close to the toilet, no room for shower and the floor was slipry why haven shower wich I have to change my room to room 305 witch there was a bath and have to pay extra money for ? and some of the bedding looks old in both room(the layer at the end of the beds). Also, the rooms were too close to each other, so if someone flashed to the toilet, you could hear it from your room and any nose the make. Also there was a small sigaret in the corridor which I don't smoke.

Vaue for money was exceptional in fact the best I have ever experienced. Homely atmosphere while clean and well kept. Prices were very good for food and drink. We needed to wait for a while for staff to come to book out. We were in a hurry, so it wasn't convenient for us to wait. The AC in room 106 was really bad when it was turned on it was really cold, and when it was turned off, it became hot so quickly, with no options on the remote controler to make it better any way. The room is really small and there is no place to put our luggage. Water was going out of the shower when we were taking a shower.

Window didn't close in bathroom so noise and mozzies could get in. No duvet or cover on bed, just sheets. Also quite thin walls/ceilings so I was woken up at 2am by another guest loudly trying to put up his sofa bed in the room above me. Or perhaps doing DIY, whatever it was it was unbelievably loud.

Breakfast was good value for the price. Dinner seemed reasonable but we chose to eat out.
Entrance to the hotel was not clearly communicated by the vendors. We had to call the front desk to figure out access around the corner. The bathroom door was broken so we couldn't close it properly (kept swinging open)- reported it and not attended to during our stay.
The parking voucher was VERY poorly dealt with!! We pre-paid and on using our voucher to exit the parking garage it was NOT accepted. We contacted the desk at the hotel and despite being told someone would come down to the garage to help us, no-one arrived despite several calls. When we called back for further help, the desk clerk HUNG UP ON US!! We requested a refund on our prepaid parking costs and a call back to confirm a refund, which we NEVER received! Thankfully MC finally refunded us when we pursued it on OUR OWN.
Due to being trapped in the parking garage for over an hour we missed out on a pre-paid event at our next destination.
This venue is a reasonable price for Toulon, but VERY bad customer service. As we were visiting from Canada, and leaving for home a few days later, we had no opportunity to make up for our ruined itinerary.

The location was excellent.
I don't even know where to start. First, there's no proper heating in the room. What they have is an air conditioner that supposedly works as a heater if you increase the temperature. However, this causes the walls to "sweat," with condensation dripping onto the floor, which is both disgusting and dangerous.
Additionally, this "alternative" heating system takes forever to warm up the room, which is very small, by the way. If you're planning to visit during winter, as I did, I would strongly recommend avoiding this hotel.
Still on the topic of winter, hot water is only available early in the morning. We only found this out when we arrived in the evening and tried to take a warm shower—it was freezing cold. To make matters worse, the room was still cold because the heating system takes ages to work.
If we had known beforehand that hot water was practically unavailable, we wouldn't have booked a room here.
Lastly, the bathroom leaves much to be desired. There is little to no separation between the toilet and the shower, and the sliding door does not close properly. It’s also worth mentioning that there are no photos of the bathroom on Booking.com, which now seems like a deliberate omission.
