The hotel does not have a restaurant but there is an excellent cafe/restaurant across the street. Buses to the city centre are frequent nearby. The room was adequate and very clean. 24/7 admittance to the hotel with a concierge on duty. Advise if problems with mobility as there is no lift to the second level. No AC but heater installed. Excellent for a 2-star hotel.

A good location in a quiet street, with a couple of cafes nearby. It’s a short walk down to the GPO and O’Connell St, and several bus routes. The hosts are absolutely lovely and obliging. The property has a secure entry, and feels very safe. The old fashion key was quite a novelty!
The bathroom is very compact, and I had not seen a shower faucet like that before so I had to work it out (it may be quite common here in Ireland?).

The property had everything we needed for our stay, great location and comfortable and clean rooms. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, in particular the female member of staff that worked behind reception, she helped us with recommendations of where to go, how to get to places and made us feel welcome everyday which made our stay feel personal.
The rooms were quite hot and there was no aircon but it didn’t help that the weather during our stay was really warm so I don’t think it could’ve been helped much anyway. Not sure if there was an option to ask for a fan though maybe there was the option but we didn’t ask.

I loved everything about my stay except for the fact that the walls are extremely thin. You can hear everything in the neighbouring rooms. I was woken up each night during my stay because of it. I never really got a good night's rest. Bring ear plugs.

The staff were super helpful and very lovely! They gave us recommendations and booked a taxi for us to the airport. Our taxi was at 4am and someone was there waiting for the taxi with us which was very nice. The room was spacious and clean. We enjoyed our stay!
The street was noisy but we stayed over the weekend so was expected. We stayed in summer and there was no fan or air conditioning. Opening the window helped but it meant more noise from outside. The location was okay but where we wanted to go was more in the South Side so it meant more walking and catching buses but it was easy enough to figure out.

From the moment we arrived the welcome we received was something else. Breakfast isn't served here (we were aware of this when we booked) but there is tea coffee and a selection of pastries in reception which are included in the stay, a lovely touch.

Located in a quiet location, but in walking distance to the sites and amenities of Dublin. The bus, tram, rail network around the city was excellent. Worth looking into a Leap travel card.
The owners/ staff were so friendly and always on hand to help, if needed.
The hotel is small and very clean. Rooms were serviced everyday , if so wished.
There are no restaurant facilities, and no tea/ coffee facilities in rooms, but tea/ coffee was made available by contacting reception. Also tea/ coffee, pastries were available from reception each morning. Opposite there was a small cafe, but we did not visit during our stay, it was always busy when we passed by.
Did not notice if there was ironing facilities in the room, but am sure if needed an iron would have been available from reception.
Our stay was for three nights, Friday thro to Monday. The room was a twin, comfortable and very clean. The room was at the front of the building, some traffic notice but overall in a quiet location, nearest bus stop 5 minute walk.

It was perfect for what we wanted, a nice comfy place to stay that is well connected to go anywhere in the city with mostly everything walking distance, but buses and trams close by if we need it. This place is run by hospitality professionals who have been in the industry a long time. Nothing fancy, but nothing missing.
I liked everything. Some people may want more modern feel but honestly there's no need, the comfiest of beds, pillows, duvet (and throw). Lovely shower/bathroom. Vanity table, hair dryer, tv, spacious room, window you can open.

We loved this hotel! The location was great - a little away from the more touristy area but with plenty of lovely cafes and restaurants. It was such a treat that they offer to bring coffee to your room in the morning at no cost! I also loved that there was a little nook with a mirror, stool, and small counter. So nice to be able to do makeup while someone else is using the bathroom.
We were there when it was unusually warm, but we did need to keep the windows open at night to be cool enough. There was some noise but didn't go late.

I had a pleasant stay at the Dergvale Hotel. It was very clean, spacious, central & comfortable. The Hotel has been around for many years & is famous for the founding of the GAA.
Even though it carries so much History. It has been modernised & is the perfect place to stay for a weekend or Concert in Dublin.

The staff is lovely. I was able to check in my room way earlier than I was supposed to which was a really nice surprise. There are sweets offered in the morning. The room was clean (and cleaned every day). The bed was really big, comfortable and warm. The location is also really nice. There's a few cafes in the area and the city center is around 15 minutes walk away.
The walls were really thin so I could hear the TV and every time the shower or toilet was used in the other room, as well as all the walking around outside. It would stop really really early but I guess that depends on the people who are staying next to you.
The shower was really tricky to figure out at first. I have no idea if this is common in Ireland but a quick instruction on how to use would be really nice :)
Dublin is expensive in general but the price is still less than ideal.

Nice hotel, nothing flashy or fancy about, more of a homely feel to it. All the staff were very polite. Room was a decent size and was comfortable. I was on the top floor and it was nice and quiet. Complimentary breakfast with cereal, fruit, pastries and such was included. Only around 10 minutes walk from O' Connell Street so although not quite city centre, still quite close
Not really something that I didn't like but having tea making facilities in the room would have been nice but I was often most of the day so didn't matter much. No ironing facilities in the room but I'm sure if I asked at reception I could have got some. I had a big gym style bag with me and the hallway inside the room door was a little narrow for it but plenty of room if just using the likes of a backpack. Not a big issue but felt the angle of the shower doors were a little close to the wall but wasn't exactly an inconvenience

It's a family run hotel, really friendly, warm and helpful people; comfortable, spotless rooms and a good location - eg 20 min walk to Trinity College. It is quiet and usefully near O'Connell st where all the buses go from. Dublin accommodation is expensive, but this was the most affordable non-hostel place I looked at, and so much more fulfilling than some corporate hotel! Although it was advertised as no breakfast, there actually was a perfectly nice, simple breakfast at no extra cost. Family friendly. A decent selection of places to eat nearby, though obviously there's more choice on the South side of the river.
The owners are very kind and make you tea when you ask, but I felt a bit embarrassed by asking all the time so would have preferred a kettle in the room.

Very nice family-owned hotel. Location-wise within walking distance of all main attractions, but remains in a quiet street with little late night noise pollution. Reception staff was great, very kind and friendly. I arrived on delayed flight really late at night, and they greeted me warmly.
As far as room and amenities go you get what is expected. Bed was nice and comfortable with really warm sheets and TV worked good.
Be aware that this is an old building with no lift, some rooms do require you to climb several steps. Heating can be irregular and cannot directly be controlled from the room, however once in bed sheeting is very warm and comfortable. The bathroom is rather small and hot water might take some time to come, however everything works as expected.
