The location was good and it was good value for money especially being a last minute booking. The lady on the desk was pleasant and professional.

The room was quite tired looking and would benefit from a bit of modernisation. Lots of stairs to climb although again it was last minute so thankful to find it.

Historic building, but well-maintained and comfortable. Rooms quite small but very nice and clean. The staff very helpful. Location very quiet, yet close to the attractions like Trinity College, Oscar Wilde's house etc. All in all - it was good choice :)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this little guesthouse, a short walk to St Stephen’s Green, the museum, art gallery, Trinity College and the bustle of Grafton St. Friendly staff helped us to carry luggage upstairs and recommended some great local pubs etc. Lovely cafe just around the corner. Room a little shabby but very clean, very small shower cubicle but all part of the historic charm. Highly recommended.

Good breakfast. Staff are a very kind and big credit to the night receptionist that helped me out with some bottled water after the shops had closed. Many of the reviews mention noise but I found the ground floor room I was in no more noisy than your standard hotel room.

This is well located. Staff were pleasant but some didn't speak English.

This is an old building in fair shape. There was water damage and buckling of my ceiling suggesting a roof leak. There were long blond hairs (not mine) on the rug. The mattresses were old and didn't provide good support.

We enjoyed the comfortable beds and helpful staff.

The rooms are quite small. There was a quirky toilet that wouldn't flush, but they addressed it quickly. After that, you had to push the lever over to the left and then to the right hard twice, but it worked. This is a historic building, so some quirks are understandable. No lift, but I did have help carrying my luggage up to the fourth floor.

It was close to places that I needed to see. It felt homy and not a hotel. It was comfortable and quiet. I loved how friendly the staff were and I also loved the history of the building. It was a really nice place to stay.

I don't think that there was anything that I didn't like. More things that I wished were that there was things to purchase in case you forgot as a traveler. For example finger nail clippers, or deodorant or things like that. I also wished the breakfast went until 11am because I slept in being on vacation and I never made it on time to have breakfast. This has nothing to do with the Fitzwilliam at all it is just how they operate and that is okay these are just my preferences.

Location is great - walkable to lots in central Dublin. The townhouse is full of character - one of the originals along the street.

We booked at the last minute and, as a result, got a room near the top of the building which meant a lot of stairs.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location is fantastic. Very easy to access all of central Dublin, and it's nice to see inside the historic red-brick townhomes. The price is pretty good, but only in the context that Dublin is now at the London//NYC/Hong Kong price level.

My room was very teeny and quite stuffy --- thank god for the fan provided. Luckily I was just one person, but I wouldn't have been comfortable with two.

The bed was very comfortable. The sheets crisp and clean. Room was small but efficient. Personnel were very helpful and provided me with a UK/Ireland plug for me to use during my stay. I had to check in at midnight and was very glad someone was there.

I was given a below grounds room, below the street with a window that looked onto steps up to the street. It was quite noisy as the windows are old and do little to insulate the noise of the street and passersby. There was also some steady banging/flapping the second night. I would not have survived without my ear plugs. There was no hook near shower to hang towel and no outlet in the bathroom for a hair dryer--though one was provided.

Cozy, historical house. The room was equipped with free tea, milk and kettle. The location is quiet, within walking distance of Temple Bar and the city center. We had a small history of the house written on a piece of paper - it really felt like going back in time.

From the reservation pictures we though we'd get a double room at the first/second floor, but unfortunately we got a pretty small room below street level. The windows were tiny and little sunlight was actually reaching the room.

The location firstly and then the value for money make this hotel a great place to stay in Dublin 2 , 15 minutes walking distance from Grafton Street and everywhere else worth seeing, the staff on reception could not have been more helpful when i arrived late for check-in, a few decent restaurants nearby a big advantage also

nothing, every thing was good, and other hotels in the area are twice the price,

The room was more than little old, tired, and while roomy it lack charm. The bed was too soft. The shower had no place to hold soap and shampoo. It was clean and quiet; comfortable in temperature. I liked the location although many who I asked about directions did not recognize the location.
