The location is great. Some covers were added to the bed. Luggage storage. Staff was friendly.
The staff is friendly but doesn't explain anything about the city.
There's no rules (explained) in the hostel, and the Italian girls in my room were convinced this allowed them to speak inside the room until late late in the night.
The lockers are just wooden boxes without any padding, they scrape very loudly on the floor at all times.
No place to hang or cook/eat something. It's like a supermarket in the room, so much food and crumbling etc. The girls in my room ate very stinky truffle pasta at TWO AM, saying they had nowhere else to eat it.
No towels, you need to pay. The extra bathrooms on the floor always smell horrible, like they have a problem with the sewage.
It doesn't feel like a hostel at all.
The location was good, near the center but not in a loud street. The staff at the reception and in the bar was friendly. They let you leave your luggage in the luggage room before check-in/after check-out. We stayed in room with private bathroom so you get towels and shower gel free of charge.
The bathroom was extremely small. The sink was so small that you could barely wash your hands let alone your face. The shower was immediately next to the toilet separated only with a shower curtain and there was no inclination therefore no way of preventing flooding the bathroom floor. There was a strong smell of the sewer coming from the bathroom at some point.

- city tax turned out to be higher than was mentioned on booking.com and their official website
- on my first night there was a karaoke evening in the bar. i had woken up at 3am for my flight so i was exhausted and couldn't sleep because this lasted until 0:30
- bathroom was completely wet after a shower
- no common area to chill/rest for a bit
- anyone could enter the luggage storage room because the staff just gave you the key instead of going with you
- no kitchen and you have to pay for cutlery and plates
- no isolation so you could hear a lot of noise from outside (busy street)

Loved the fact it was very close to train station about a 10 min walk. Very central and easy to find. Staff was great, got my room early without asking, was able to do laundry (but only 1 washer ans dryer and they are accessible in the backyard which you have to walk tehough the restaurant during opening hour) but loved that i could do it there. Only stayed 1 night in transit but would definitely stay again.
Not much to say here as honestly didnt stay long enough to be able to judge.

Close to the train station and all major attractions are well within walking distance.
The bed is comfortable with lighting, sockets and a USB port in bed side.
It is essentially a bar which also operates a hostel in the building it is located. Very noisy at Friday night when the bar becomes a disco. Also, the room is a bit small for 4 sets of bunk bed. Especially problematic is their drawer/locker under the bund beds - it has no wheels and the dragging sound when pulling it out is extremely noisy.

It is indeed a nice hostel and it is located in the center of Trieste. The rooms are large and even there were 8 beds in it there was enough space to walk around and get your stuff from your storage place. My room had even a balcony - what was nice even if I could not used it because of the weather. This room had even a shower and a toilet in the room - but I preferred the open facilities in the lobby they were larger and more comfortable for me.
It's a good choice to stay in Trieste and specialy out of the main season
In most hostels I miss hangers and a warobe or hooks to air out your cloth. I had two hooks for my sleep place - what I think is not enough - it would be nice if there could be found another solution. Beside that I missed some chairs to sit - either for the room and for the balcony. And last point I found it complicated with the registration for the wifi - you have to add a different provider - its like in the airport if you use the free wifi over there.

I stayed in Jan in one of tge rooms and I believe I got bitting by bed bugs or somesort of flyies. I had to buy the fly killer to sprays my clothes and spray my new jackets and take tgem to the dry clean. It was not pleasant experience and instead of saving money, I was paying more to remove any bugs from my clothes

Really good location, friendly and helpful staff, you pay for what you get. Bunk bed dorm ideal for people who do not need luxury or are comfortable with lively environment. The common areas are pretty cool and the place is reasonably clean. Since this is a budget accommodation, keep in mind that some equipement might be worn or old and that you really do need to either pay extra for things such as towels or bring your own.
If you want luxury or privacy, the dorm is not the place.

I only have one minor complaint. The woman behind the counter when I and a another woman ordered coffee, was very rude and almost threw the spoon when we kindly said it wasn't needed. She looked very unhappy with us and nothing like the hostel staff when checking in or out. The coffee was great and it is only a minor complaint.

It was central. Beds were comfortable a d it was clean. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Typical backpacker style accommodation.
The hallways echo. They have extra doors between main staircase/lift area which helped dissipate the noise a little.
