Breakfast was the same every day: a jam-filled croissant (and those were consistently awesome by the way!), jam, Italian white bread, coffee with milk, yoghurt. We were offered the ability to change breakfast every day but I was content. Also, receiving lactose free or vegan products was no issue.
It was a good start into the day, if a bit indulgent even for my sweet tooth, and during breakfast we got to know our host Walter who was a joy to talk to, he's a really nice and attentive man. He runs Punto8 together with his wife Michela.
The location of the BnB was amazing. 10 minutes to the city center, 15 minutes to the harbour, 5 minutes to the nearest grocery shop. We could not have asked for a better part of town to stay in. It was also a very safe and worry-free experience.
The only thing I can maybe think of right now is that maybe the doors to the room weren't solid wood but had rather big, dull milky glass panels in them but even so, privacy wasn't an issue.

The facility is very clean, as well as the building and the street where the facility is located. The owner of the facility is very polite, hospitable and tolerant in the case of late arrivals. A place I would recommend to anyone. I felt welcome and like in own home. Peaceful and 15 meters from the rich contents of the pedestrian zone in Trieste, full of wonderful cafes. Central place in the city.
Since I am a very big man, with the habit of sleeping in a big bed, I would be glad if the bed was a little bit bigger. But it's my own fault, I said that a single room is enough for me.

The property was gorgeous! The room was clean & well equipped and the breakfast was really good. I loved the location, as it was a 15ish minute walk to the port, it was both in the action & peaceful. Michela was incredibly attentive & generous with his time, giving advice on the best places to go in Trieste etc. I can’t recommend Punto8 enough! As a solo female traveller I felt very safe in the Bed & Breakfast and in Trieste in general.

The owner went well out of his way to accommodate our stay by asking the type of breakfast we wanted, allowing us to check in early, helping with suggestions of restaurants, bus stops / bus numbers and more! He is very personable and a joy to speak with on many topics.
We did have a bit of a warped bathroom door we had to pull tight to latch but that is about it.

But I can’t say the location is good. It’s far from the station, not close to the center of downtown. In addition, around that property is dark at night. As a solo female traveler, didn’t feel comfortable at night.
A more serious problem is the room. That single room doesn’t have a proper door, really. Half of the door(like something) is a milky window with also milky white curtain. The room is so visible from the outside. Especially while turning the light at night! And the room is just next to the front door, without a door that normal room have. It can not keep privacy at all! So I couldn’t turn on the light, and I talked to the host about that problem, he just said like it’s no big deal.. “Nobody looks into your room. No problem” How does he take money for a room without a proper door??? And the bed is too small. I am a skinny woman, my height is only 166cm, still when I lay on the bed, my foot touched the board of the end. It’s the first review of the hotel in my life. That single room(did I say room???) was that ridiculous.

We booked quite late in the evening on very short notice, so I called the supplied phone number to double-check, and it turned out that Walter, the host, had already started preparing the room for us.
Very lovely rooms with everything you need for a short or a longer stay. Close (easy walking distance) to a bar and restaurant strip, and if you don't mind walking you can explore the city on foot, starting from the doorstep.
Walter is a very nice host who's happy sitting down and chatting with his guests, with a wealth of information on the city, its highlights and history.
Like in every city, parking can be a bit of an issue, with not enough on-road parking in the densely populated city center, plus there's lots of one-way streets in the area. On the plus side there's free over night parking around the hospital which is basically next door.

The room was well equipped: I appreciated the hair dryer, the kettle and the towels.
