I recently stayed at Hotel Justus in Riga and had a wonderful experience. The hotel's location is absolutely unbeatable—right in the heart of the Old Town, making it easy to explore all the city's charming streets, historic sites, and vibrant cafes.
The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready with a warm smile and helpful advice. Their attentive service really added a personal touch to my stay.
The breakfast was decent, with a reasonable selection to start the day. While not exceptional, it was satisfying enough and a convenient option before heading out to explore the city.
Overall, Hotel Justus is an excellent choice for its prime location and great hospitality. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Riga!
The wifi in our room was patchy, and our sleep was disturbed at 5am by noisy neighbours.

Location was ideal in the Old Town, five minutes walk from the airport bus stop. Plenty of bars and restaurants close by and convenient for all the sights. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The hotel and our room were very warm which was welcome in chilly December temperatures.

The hotel is located in Riga Old Town which makes it perfect for sightseeing and it's not too far away from the bus station for the airport.
Staff was friendly and we were lucky to do the check in one hour earlier.
The structure was very clean and quiet, the room was nice with a view on the street and the bathroom was big.

I think the photos dont do this hotel justice. It looks much better in person. The hotel is located near main square, there are a lot of restaurants around and also some small convenience stores. All receptionists we met were super friendly and explained everything. Also, a kind receptionist let us check in earlier. The rooms are fine and have minibar! :D The best thing about this hotel is definitely breakfast. Everything was delicious! Recommend!

The hotel is well located in the historic center.
First impressions are lasting impressions. The entry to the hotel is a series of broken and dangerously unstable paving stones, making it very difficult for people with luggage. Reception staff were astonishingly rude on our arrival. Two days later our friends arrived to a similarly abrupt and discourteous welcome. Do you have a laundry service? No. Could you please suggest where I can get laundry done? No. Most staff simply have no idea how to treat the unfortunate customers who pay their salaries. Two staff members were polite. The rest were generally curt, offhand and downright rude. This was not cultural difference. It was the behavior of unhappy people who are clearly badly managed and poorly trained.

We loved everything about Hotel Justus in Riga! It is perfectly located in the old town area, within easy walking distance of all the sites and restaurants. Our two rooms were comfortable, spacious, modern, and very clean. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The hotel offers a delicious and ample breakfast buffet. We arrived late in the evening and the gentleman at the front desk was very welcoming. After getting us all checked in, he recommended a great nearby cafe with outdoor seating for a late night casual burger since we hadn’t had dinner. It ended up being a great tip; it felt local (not touristy) and was exactly what we wanted.
The breakfast buffet does not open until 7:30 so I f you are an early riser like me and like a cup of coffee first thing in the morning, you have to go out to find something. Most of the coffee shops don’t open until 7:00 or 730, so that is a bit of a challenge. It would be great if the hotel had a little electric kettle with instant coffee in the rooms or maybe a station in the lobby.

It is really a special place to stay! The location is probably the best for Riga even considering only the Old town area it is still best located :) A historical building, with amazing view from the window(room 201), nice old pieces of furniture and decors that give the right feeling for the place. Amazingly beautiful stairs and nice that the hosts also took care to have an elevator for the comfort of the guests with luggage or who just don't want to take the stairs)
Breakfast was good. The eggs were prepared perfectly!) Hot dishes, porridge, plenty of fresh salads and veggies also there were authentic pancakes and appetizers prepared in local way, which was a nice touch:)

In the heart of old town, friendly and helpful staff, enough options for breakfast and 2 elevators, which is very unusual for old buildings in this area. Apparently, the hotel/ building is quite popular, so there are tourists visiting and taking pix.

We asked for an hour of early checkin since a room was available, the young girl at the reception said that will cost us $35. Hotels typically let you check in if a room is available. They lost our highest rating.
The TV in the room was 12 inch by 12 inch size with only local channels. Hotels all over the world have changed to bigger TV with more international channels.

This hotel is in a great spot in Old Town Riga, The room was nice, with comfy beds and a good size bathroom. It was a bonus to have breakfast included with the booking. Also the free WIFI worked great.

Hotel was lovely, very beautiful. The location was great and staff were wonderful. Very convenient to get around the city and accessible for anywhere in the old town within 10 minutes.
The pillows were too soft, but this is a personal preference.

The hotel is in an excellent location, only 1 minute from Cathedral Square and the Christmas market. In addition, it's only 1 minute to Town Hall Square and the Museum of Occupation. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was lovely, we had a junior suite with plenty of space, a huge writing desk, lovely furniture and a spotlessly clean bathroom. Breakfast was very nice, there was a choice for everyone. The building is an old one with so much character, lovingly restored. You won't be disappointed! Just a tip: Take the 22 bus to get into Riga. It runs so frequently. At the airport buy your tickets at the kiosk outside Arrivals Hall E for only 1.50 Euros. The bus stop is just outside. No need for a taxi! There is a small tourist information desk in Hall E where you can pick up a map. The hotel is easily to reach from the bus stop.
We did not know on the first night that we could have a kettle and tea bags to take to our room. When I found out, they were more than happy to give us one so we could make a hot drink. Maybe a note in the room would help. Also, a reading light would be helpful as the main bedside light was quite bright. I would probably add a standard lamp to the room to improve the lighting a bit. But these are just suggestions, the hotel is absolutely super and I would recommend it to all travellers.

Superb location in the heart of Riga Old Town. Walkable to any spot in the old town in ~10 mins, with beautiful historic buildings around every corner; lots of restaurants, bars, and shops nearby. 15 min walk to the city center as well as to the central bus/train station and market. Staff was friendly and helpful, rooms were nice and clean. Liked that they had a breakfast included.

It's right by the Riga Dom and a block away from the Black Heads House, it's in walking distance to all historical buildings with many great restaurants nearby. The hotel allowed us to leave our luggage there after check-out to enjoy the full day. Breakfast was good with plenty of options. The hotel has character and a lot of history. The restaurant is cool with its bricks and mortar making it look like a cellar. Would definitely recommend it.

the layout of the room was weird- lots of empty space and a small bed in the corner. It felt sort of thrown together, it was fine but not particularly upscale
