The hotel is clean and organized. The support staff, desk clerk, maids and other service people were fantastic, responsive and thorough.
The Yucatan restaurant has delicious food and is also very clean.
The coffee in the room costs $4 US for one little pod. There was no way to make your own tea except in the evening if they put it out. I was stunned. I’m used to free coffee and tea.
For a couple days there was free coffee available near the elevators in the early morning and evening. Then they took it away and replaced it with cold water.
The concierge would not book a nail appointment for me. She made a stupid excuse that I had to go there in person and make my own appointment. That stuck with me as well.
Unless you want to have chiliquilles for breakfast, don’t bother with the buffet.

Not a problem with the hotel, but I was surprised to hear the birds chirping after sunset and early in the morning.

Hotel didn't cancel the credit card hold for anything used during the stay. It was cancelled when I called them a day after checkout, despite assurances it would be cancelled at checkout which it was not.

Huge, modern hotel above a shopping centre? It sounds awful but it really is very good. Great location. Spacious room. Really comfortable bed with lovely linen. Excellent room servicing. Good shower. Nicely furnished if a little old fashioned. Quiet, clean, safe. Pool great - decent size, good temperature, comfortable sunbeds. Would definitely recommend.

It was in a very good location, within easy walking distance to lots of good restaurants, coffee shops etc… parking was free and in an underground carpark so the car was very safe. The pool was nice to cool off from the hot sun
The main reason I’m writing the negative review is the cleanliness of the room. We thought the room felt dirty and the bed was itchy. Once we checked out of the hotel, the staff contacted us to say that the cleaners had found items of clothing left behind. We returned to the property only to find it was a previous customers clothing. The concierge advised that due to Hurricane Beryl it was likely the room wasn’t cleaned properly, which is quite frankly disgusting

I asked specifically for a quiet room and they gave us a room under the hotel refrigeration tower which sounded like an airplane landing all the time. It also face the pool.
They offered to moves us but not before the 3rd day of a 5 day stay.
It is old and in desperate need of renovation.
No valet parking which I didn’t mind but for the money?
They charge for the coffee pods in the room and I never saw a sign that informed you of this.
The bed sheets have holes in them.
Too bad because I used to stay there with my parents as a child.

The pool is very small for the size of the hotel, and there's the constant noise of the heating non-stop.

Paid extra for the Club membership, in which we were able to take advantage of drinks and snacks in the evening on the 5th floor and a buffet breakfast in the morning. The room was spacious, very comfortable and clean. Staff were overall excellent, courteous, friendly and accommodating. The pool itself (except for the equipment noise) was a treat and was maintained very well. Good cafe and nicely appointed restaurants in the lobby area.
The noise was an issue from the suite facing Av. Colon as there was nightly live music lasting till midnight from the restaurant across the street. The staff immediately offered a different suite in the interior of the hotel facing the pool. Unfortunately, the noise coming from the machinery (generators?) running 24/7 behind the pool was audible through the glass doors and very loud poolside.
A major disappointment was the lack of complimentary coffee and tea or a water kettle in the room. Nespresso pods were available for purchase (USD 4). The mini-fridge was taped shut and turned off so guests cannot use it without paying extra. Sadly, a huge hospitality miss.

we like location. check in at 3:00 pm, we arrive 12:00 pm, for extra price they offer us earlier check in (56$), we said no, and they let us leave the baggage ?. There is a restaurant on same floor that reception, we go there and ate breakfast (42$) for me and my son. The food was tasty. Eggs, sosages, vegetables, pancakes, tacos.
The room is as good, beds are comfortable. Blackout curtains ?
We didn’t like lady’s near gym, they was from spa.
12.12.2025 morning we go take a jacuzzi with my 11 y.o son, and they ask us in a very rude way “leave jacuzzi” becouse no children allows. But day before me and my son was there 1 hour, all alone and nobody said us nothing. This was only bad moment in this property.

The staff was not friendly at all , they were tried to charge me while doing check in (the reservation was paid in full already ) they tried to upgrade me 3 times (3 different times)while waiting on my room to be ready . You have to pay for the coffee and water ? Come on , I stayed in the master suite and paid enough, not worth it to be honest .

Fiesta Americana hotel located in center of Merida. You can walk to park, museums, stores....The hotel is amazing. Hotel was decorated so beautiful for holidays. Room is spacious, bed is comfortable. AC works very well. Restaurant downstairs has a delicious food.
Even after cleaning floors stays a little bit dirty.
