The boutique four-star Hotel 1231 is located in the Old Town right next to the Ruins of the Teutonic Castle, a major Torun attraction. Only a few minutes' walk separates the hotel from the Vistula River's Philadelphia Boulevard, the Old Market Square, the City Hall and the New Market Square. The property consists of two wings: the 13th-century Castle Mill and the also medieval Infirmary, where we offer modernly designed Superior rooms.
The wings are connected by an underground hall. The hotel has its own parking lot, located just 230 feet from the hotel. All rooms are stylishly decorated, equipped with comfortable beds, refrigerator, safe, Smart TV and individually controlled air conditioning.
A comfortable rest will be complemented by a pillow menu. The greatest asset, however, remains the views of the Old Town. The varied buffet breakfasts are prepared with natural ingredients from regional farmers.
The hotel's facilities include the delicious 4 Seasons Restaurant, the intimate 1410 Cinema, a professional golf simulator, sauna and gym.

Fantastic staff, excellent restaurant and spa, and great cozy simple rooms. The front desk staff were incredibly kind and friendly, and we so appreciated them offering us a shower and a sauna after we checked out, after our Santa Klaus Half Marathon!
It would have been nice if the heat was turned on when we entered the room, it was a bit chilly! But once we got the heaters plugged in, it was okay. I appreciate the sustainability efforts though!

We throughly enjoyed everything about this property. The location was great- in the middle of the old town. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We upgraded our room to one of the newer ones and it was spacious and very comfortable. Everything was very clean. The breakfast and the food we enjoyed during dinners at the restaurant downstairs were delicious! Canโt fault this place and would definitely recommend to others and will stay there again!

During my recent visit to Toruล, I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel 1231. This hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly courteous and helpful, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The rooms in the hotel were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, providing a perfect setting for relaxation. Additionally, the hotelโs unique location made it easy to explore the charming city of Toruล.
A highlight of my stay was the food. The hotelโs restaurant offered a variety of delicious dishes that satisfied even my discerning palate. Each meal was prepared with utmost care and highlighted local flavors.
In conclusion, Hotel 1231 in Toruล is an excellent choice for both business and leisure travelers. Its cleanliness, comfort, superb cuisine, and friendly staff make it a place I will highly recommend to anyone planning a visit to Toruล.

The room was in the modern building right next to the older one with green windows. Initially we wanted to rent a room in an older one. However, we liked our room a lot: it was spacious and equipped well. Everything was exceptionally clean and tidy. And itโs just in the old town next to the river.

We stayed as couple with our toddler and couldn't have wished for a more perfect, warm and welcoming hotel which has lots of character and extremely pleasant staff. The location within the old town and only a few minutes stroll to all the historic sights and the Vistula river make this a perfect place to stay. Our room was lovely with a view of the ruins. l'd highly recommend this hotel without hesitation to any traveller to Torun who wishes authenticity and a hotel who truly cares for its patrons.

We stayed here as we were traveling across Poland as part of a larger road-trip. Given that Swindon is twinned with Torun we thought that we would check out what it's twin town was like. We chose Hotel 1231 as it was close to the castle and the old town. For a small additional fee you could book a parking place.
We were exceptionally surprised with the hotel and town. It was actually one of the highlights of the road-trip.
The rooms were good and the accompanying bar / restaurant was fantastic. The night we stayed here there was a (free) music event going on adjacent to the castle. This was a bonus addition to our stay.
Torun seems to embrace it's heritage and felt a very safe place to walk around, even at midnight after the music event.
Torun has plenty to see and Hotel 1231 is well situate to explore the town.
It's tourist office could claim, "It's everything that Swindon isn't (in a good way)"

Very convenient and quiet location for the old town. Excellent breakfast with large choice and food cooked to order (omelette) was very good. Room was large with very comfortable bed and lots of soft pillows.
We were in the "new" section and the decor was very dull. Dark grey wallpaper everywhere and the black carpet with white splashes in the hallway looked like a painter's dustsheet after painting.

It is very well located, the new complex is fabulous, the bed and pillows are one of the best we enjoyed in our stay in Poland. The bathroom had an intelligent device that shows you the temperature, time, weather etc. Staff were super nice and a lot of them speak Spanish, it is very nice to hear your mother language spoken by other cultures. They welcome my dog in a unique way. Thank you!
Breakfast could have more fruit and veggie options. The bathroom could use an extra shelf to place our toiletries.

The location was great
- The check-in was at 3:00 pm, we showed up at 3:26pm and the room was still not ready which we found out only after getting to the room,
- Parking is an issue,
- There was only one instant coffee and two teas available in a double room- which was not enough,

I loved the location of the property, especially since the parking area is close by I also enjoyed how nice the facilities were and the layout of the room, it overall felt very cozy. The staff was helpful and friendly.
I disliked the noise outside in the middle of the night. During our stay, there were teenagers outside being extremely loud and obviously drunk, but also I didnโt notify the staff about the noise, Iโm sure if I did, they wouldโve handled it. Overall, the bed was decent, but the pillows werenโt as full as I would like and were pretty small compared to average pillows.

The sad thing was that we only booked one night. Had we know how great this place was we would have extended our stay in Torun one more night.
Kids loved that there was a football field just 50m from the hotel ?
Will definitely visit again
Very welcoming. The hotel was facing the old castle and in a beautiful location close to the river and the old town walls. A large room . comfortable bed and excellent bathroom with facilities and a great view. Front of house staff always very helpful. Breakfast exceptional with a wide variety of choice and great coffee.
