Located in downtown Faro just a 5-minute walk from the train station and the bus terminal, this modern hotel overlooks the old town, marina and the Ria Formosa Natural Park. The breakfast was excellent and so was the view from the rooftop room. Faro itself was a lovely place to start our holiday in Portugal and the location of the hotel, near the train station and the centre of town, was perfect for us.
There was no a la carte menu in the dining room or a bar menu. We didn’t want a multi-course fixed price meal as we were tired after a long day or two of travelling to get there, so we went somewhere else to eat.

The hotel was in a perfect location opposite the marina in the centre of the city.
Hotel and staff were fabulous. Beautiful breakfast and views.
The hotel was very noisy - the bedrooms all have cafes, bars and restaurants with outdoor seating, all in the streets below them. Considering we were at the hotel in March, it was not exceptionally busy but we could hear a lot of noise from the streets below.

The disability lift to the hotel was broken, so I had to use a side ramp and had to get the attention of the front staff to open the door every time, which was an inconvenience. The breakfast was terrible. Everything was cold, and not very tasty location was great.

The hotel lobby toilets are not in the main hotel. They are outside in another part of the building. They are clean but you have to cross a drain which had loads of flies.

Only complaint was that they only had Speciality teas eg Chamomile, Earl Grey. They did not stock Ceylon, English breakfast or any black tea.

Super roof top terrace with great view over the harbor and lagoon especially on sunset or for the breakfast.
Nice drinks served. It was even possible to watch storks nearby flying to and from their nests, also lots of swallows flying around there, really nice.
The terrace has wind stopping glass walls, so even though it was relatively windy, it was a pleasure to enjoy our time there.
Room was also big and comfortable.
Elevators sometimes did take a moment - but there was a stairway reachable, which was faster for going one level down

Room smelt extreamly damp. It was masked by the smell of airfresher when cleaned. Extractor fan did not work in the bathroom.

The property was pretty and the location was very close to all public transportation. The coffee from the coffee machine was also lovely

The pipes were quite noisy. We could hear water rushing and flushing loos from upstairs (we were on 1st floor).
The air con was quite loud and the street next to our window was noisy until midnight or so.

Loved the rooftop terrace for drinks and breakfast was good. Room was nice, clean and staff were very helpful and accomodating.
Shower could have been better. Was sometimes luke warm and not very powerful.
We arrived late on our first day and went to the restaurant for dinner at 9.45pm. As the restaurant closed at 10.30pm, all they could offer was a salad. Was disappointing as wanted more than salad so ended up McDonald's. Felt that we missed the extras, room service would have been nice if they couldn't provide food.
Overall, a fantastic stay and would come back.

Location of the hotel was perfect for me as a solo traveller, near to great choice of public transport options and felt very safeat night. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Breakfast choice for me was perfect. Staff could not have been nicer both in reception and in restaurant.
No complaints. I'd book this hotel again without hesitation.
Any concerns about outside noise at night were easily solved by closing windows and putting aircon on.

Location is great. Rooms are comfortable with plenty of room for your stuff. Breakfast is sumptuous with lots of choices. Rooftop deck. Friendly staff.
Ants infestation in the bathroom. Bathtub shape may be ideal for a bath but is so sloped that it makes footing for having a shower difficult. Tub is high with no support bar which would make it difficult to use for seniors or short people.

Hard to find property, no clear sign saying faro beach club hotel, only a small sign saying faro hotel on outer wall high up. Reception ok small. Also, toilet downstairs takes you outside through fire escape, strange set up, where workers were smoking having breaks and building working going on, very unprofessional, suggest closing that toilet area to the public guests! The trip was for my 50th birthday which I informed them off and had a message from the hotel saying they thank you for choosing them they will do something special in the room but nothing was done. Was very confusing with sign in reception about selling property. Hotel needs to seriously consider its layout downstairs’ reception, outside sign and customer service.

Location is the biggest asset this hotel.
They have a terrace with a lot of potential (but that is not exploded and service is very bad). breakfast was good (wide offer of products).
The biggest flaw during our stay was the staff.
Only on lady at the reception was actually nice and helpful (She was Brazilian, not portuguese). The rest of the staff (at the reception and mostly at the rooftop restaurant) was quite bad. Almost like they didn't like the job they were doing. no sense of service at all.
The rooftop pool is not like on the pictures. It is very small and any of the hydromassages works. They have no shades in the pool. So if you don't want to tan or if you cannot be under the sun (which is my case), then you cannot be on the pool side. You have to go on the restaurant side and sit on a chair.
I asked the staff if I could move one of the pool beds under the shadow, and they say no.
The food on the rooftop was bad (a had a burger). But as I said, the breakfast was OK
For a very strange reason, you cannot consume things and put the bill under your room. So basically, you have to pay every time.

Adequate pillows and slept well in the bed. Room was a nice temperature. A good sized room and bathroom. Enjoyed having a tub for once. Nice to have a sauna and steam room available. Nice to have the breakfast available. Taxi directly across the street if needed and a simple walk over to the bus or train. Places to have breakfast and means at eateries very close by. Key card works easily for the door and the maid service was consistent and the room was always made up nicely. I would stay here again. The roof top view for breakfast was nice.
The water was never hot enough. Just more than tepid to take a bath the water was at body temperature, so to then get out of the tub the air was too chilly and Id have to put on a sweatshirt to get warm. Prices were expensive to use the vending machine on the ground floor or to get a bit of supper at the end of the day - better to go out. They hair dryer in the room did not really work. It seemed to be pretty old and would shut off after a solid minute. So could never dry my hair at this hotel. Ended up just not washing my hair after that experience. Use of the elevator was confusing and the front desk staff does not mention this when people check in. I helped a stranded couple that found themselves on floor one and did not know how to get to their room. Also stairs in the front but they do have a ramp for the suitcase, but for some reason it seems to be a secret and have to ask to use it.

The front desk staff was fantastic especially Bruno and Mariana. Breakfast was excellent - wide variety of delicious choices.
The room could have used more storage space - a legit closet, some shelf space in the bathroom, and dressers for storing clothes.

The hotel is under new management since June and one can see that the rooms have been recently updated. The room was clean, the bathroom adequate but small. Breakfast was okay, but not great. It had a nice rooftop location.
Something just seemed off. Perhaps it was the location - which for Faro is very central, but seemed depressed. Overall, the price was much too high for the less-than appealing ambiance.

I really liked the hotel’s central location it made it easy to walk to restaurants, shops, and local attraction. The property is brand new, so everything felt fresh, modern, and very clean. I also appreciated the pool area; while it’s on the smaller side, it was nicely designed and a relaxing spot to unwind after a day out.
There were a few disappointments during my stay. The hotel didn’t offer room service, which was unexpected. They also didn’t accept some of the credit cards that were listed on the booking page specifically Amex, which caused unnecessary hassle at check-in and could have been a real problem. Additionally, the rooftop restaurant had a very limited menu and surprisingly, not a single seafood option, which felt like a missed opportunity in a coastal town. The spa is just a sauna and tiny steam room

The location was really good. The breakfast was excellent with a lot of choices. And nice to start the morning having breakfast outside on the terrace. The staff in the reception was really friendly and helpful, never ever experienced such kind and professional service before. The shuttle service to the beach was also very appreciated.
The air condition in the room was a bit load. Needed earplugs.

Location and view from the terrace was pretty well done. I had 2 tours and were all within reach of the hotel. The old town and everything in my list was walking distance.
The restaurant is in price with the area and not overly expensive as it tends to be. I actually ate twice there.
I didn’t manage to use the swimming pool so I worn comment on it.
The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast options were good. The little snacks for free consumption in the room were a good detail.
I was fine since I visit in September but the AC would probably be a problem in full on summer. It struggled to lower the temperature with 30C.
The hotel has services and as such I think there should be a proper card or paper showing all the hours and how to go about booking spa (sauna) and the right hours for everything. Not even a card with the hotel wifi info.
I went twice to ask about it. It’s a minor thing but it’ll be nice to have this on writing.

An excellent central location looking over the harbour for the roof top excellent breakfast serving . All the shops and transport facilities are within 5-10 minutes walk and the airport 15 minute taxi ride or 25 min bus ride .
Staff we’re pleasant and helpful . Whilst exceptionally clean there were some maintenance issues in the room and sauna area that should be attended to to make it a true 4 star rating .
Also the choice of rock music as slightly louder than background music for breakfast seemed an odd choice and spoilt the ambience .

Close to the train station. It’s very modern with a beautiful lounge and terrace. The breakfast is exceptional with plenty of choice and I never get chia seeds to make a pudding when I am away. Smoked salmon etc. Delicious. The reception people were so kind and answered all my questions.
With such a bountiful array of choice for breakfast, I was a little disappointed to need to use a machine to get coffee. When I returned for a second cup, a woman was at the bar getting the staff to make her an expression. How is that fair?
