Shower in the room was bad, water pressure was really weak. In April you have to make reservation for the spa which I didn't know and only free slot was in the morning after breakfast.

We’ve always enjoyed the pool and day time facilities at this hotel.
Beds were awful this year, never had an issue before but they seem to have added a rubber layer which is noisy to sleep on. We also had massive issues with noise from the two rooms either side, it wasn’t because they were being loud as such, it’s because the rooms have zero sound proofing. We’ve stayed here before, in the central wing of the hotel, it was never an issue there, but the side we had been placed this year had no or minimal sound proofing.

Fabulous property. Perfect if you just want to stay in and chill at the facilities in house; great even if you have plans to be outdoors. The indoor sauna remains open till 08:30 which is a greeeat plus!
It is a large property so depending on where you room is you may have to walk a lot to get to the facilities such as indoor pool, kids splash pool etc

I could not pay for my meal at the Restaurant (Bars were fine). We were 4 people travelling and all paid separately, because we had to charge the bill to the room we didn't really see what they had done until we checked out and saw that they had the bills all messed up. When I did mention that I couldn't pay with a credit card when checking out, the hotel staff member told me I was wrong. When I told him it happened twice in a row, he snottily asked for the name of the server - as I would know the name. However, I was able to tell him the restaurant name and the fact that there was only one server each night. He was actually quite rude.

Firstly can I be clear. The Villa Gale relocated us to the Marina Club due to a maintenance malfunction. Therefore the information I’m giving is about that relocation.
The apartment was lovely as was the hotel building itself and in a fabulous location.
The breakfast was adequate at best. The poolside was tired and dirty with many uneven surfaces and is in need of a refurbishment.

Buffet was good but with some major points to improve.
As said by many people before me there's little to no shadow in the swimming pool area, which can be s*** because if it's really hot you can't stand in the sun for more then 2 minutes before being roasted alive. It needs to be more controlled because even though it's forbidden to reserve chairs people do it all the time. Maybe some more umbrellas for when the hotel it's more crowded or whatever....
The buffet was good but in my opinion it's more worth launching then dinning there because at night they do theme nights where a country gets selected and typical food from the selected country is made and if you dislike most dishes, good luck. (American was the worst for me no hard feelings)
Also they really should teach the employees to serve because it's clearly noticeable that they don't know how to, even though they were generally really gentle and helpful.

Very spacious lobby, modern interior. Thanks to carpet on the floors, we heard almost no noise, eventhough we had the very first room next to the elevator.

We had a lovely stay. Room was spacious, clean and beds were comfortable. We did have issues with the air-conditioning stopping but hotel staff were quick to address. Pool is a good size despite a lot of people. Buffet breakfast was good. You can walk into the marina and old town easily, the boardwalk is a nice way to go. Would recommend.
We had a buffet dinner one night which was terrible, over priced and an odd mix off food. Breakfast is much better.

Pool was great, very refreshing and lots of space. I really liked there are extra exits from wings of the hotel to the pool and also a back exit to the beach.
The only improvements I would suggest are for the buffet breakfast and dinner. For breakfast the line for omelette/pancakes was many times very long and some of the cooks didn't manage to be agile and the whole waiting seemed like a silent group meditation while observing the (slow) speed of the cook.
Another improvement can be made in the flavours of the cooked food (from soup to pasta), it seems that french fires and meat were well seasoned, but other food could use at least some salt (which might be on purpose as it is easy to add later).

The hotel is just a 3 EUR Bolt ride away from central Lagos. The on-site spa is a nice bonus.
The breakfast never changes. And some of the ingredients are pretty meh. The indoor spa area can be extremely crowded during the off-season. The sliding door to the bathroom is annoying. The furniture and the decor are a bit dated, especially the murals of fashion shows from 2008, when the hotel was being built.

Of the three I know, this is the worst. Did not like the indoor pool. It was small and with very dark (black) tiles. Couldn't really see what you're doing.
Breakfast was the same as the others in the chain.
Even being a part of theirs fidelity program, they wanted to charge me for late check out, something the others ones I have visited in the saim chain, didn't. Didn't like the experience.

The location was wonderful, just a few minutes walk from the beach and an easy walk to Lagos's marina, train station, and old town. It was easy for us to get around with our toddler in tow. It was great having a play area on site for kids, an indoor pool, and the breakfast buffet in the morning had a decent variety. A few of the staff were particularly wonderful and helped make our trip a great one, most notably Ines at the front desk. She took the time to suggest places for us to go, restaurants to eat at, and broke it down by those that were walkable and those that required a car. We followed a number of her suggestions and are glad we did!
The beds had protective covers on them that felt and sounded quite plasticky, which made moving around the bed a bit annoying. There was no "welcome guide" in the room explaining hotel policies. This wasn't a big deal, but we were caught off guard a bit when we went to the pool and didn't have swim caps or reservation. The outdoor play area for kids doesn't have a heated pool and the indoor pool doesn't have a shallow section for children, so the swimming set up wasn't as ideal as it could have been. But we managed and had a great time!

The hotel room was so humid, and water puddles were created under the windows with a moldy smell.
The jacuzzi was cold, even after we repeatedly asked for a higher temperature, it didn’t change after few days either. The swimming pool was also bit cold, therefore, we couldn’t really use the wellness at all with our toddler…this part was dissapointing.
If you enter the pool, you must wear a hat, which was odd for me.
We saw a giant cockroach in the wellness area. It happens in hotels, but gives you a bad feeling about sanity.

The location is great, the facility has beautiful grounds, a nice pool and a good gym
The buffet was awful. We went had the dinner buffet and it was likely the worst buffet we ever paid for. Lack of selection (especially meats) for a premium price. Very diasppointing! The breakfast buffet was also weak.

Nice, clean, new and reasonable hotel a bit away from the busy downtown area. There was an easy walking path to get to the downtown. Excellent evening buffet meal and wonderful breakfast buffet provided. Good parking area. Front desk personnel very accommodating.

Beautiful property. Clean and nice size room. Good variety at breakfast. Staff was nice overall. We saw that the reviews for the pasta restaurant Massa Fina were not the best but we ate there twice and the food was good and so was the service.
We loved the property and the only thing that would have made it more perfect was if it was closer to the Lagos Marina but we knew that when we booked it. We didn’t mind the walk.
