A very nice hotel with friendly and professional staff. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet, and there was a good choice of food at breakfast. It was reasonably convenient for the centre of Porto, and a 20 minute walk to the football ground, which was convenient.

The room was super tiny than I expected. Lucky that I was traveling solo so I still got some space to open my luggage. The balcony area was too large..should have turned it into an in-room space so guests would feel more comfortable. The street next to the hotel was being under construction, not noisy but just not a pleasant view.

I had an exceptional stay at the hotel, largely due to the outstanding service. The staff showcased organised couriering my forgotten jacket back to me after my departure. The tranquility of the rooms provided a much-needed respite after a busy day, while the delightful breakfast, featuring the delicious Pasteis de Natas, was the cherry on top of a memorable visit.
There was construction in the road adjacent the hotel which made a noise during the day. This was not the hotel's fault however

There is a great family-run restaurant just across the street.
The "double bed" is terrible. It's just two single beds put together. Very uncomfortable.
The staff at the front desk are slow to respond and sometimes take their time to finish their personal conversations on the phone before even asking what you need.
The location is not great. Not much to do around the place. Mostly offices or empty stores.

Our stay at TRYP Porto Center Hotel was pleasant overall, though there were a few areas that could use improvement.
The location is definitely a highlightโitโs close to Portoโs main attractions and public transport, making it convenient for exploring the city. The surrounding area is lively, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby.
The room was clean and comfortable, though a bit smaller than expected. It had all the basic amenities we needed, and the bed was quite cozy. The bathroom was functional, but some fixtures showed minor signs of wear.
The breakfast buffet offered a decent selection, with fresh pastries, fruits, and a few hot items. However, it could benefit from more variety for longer stays.
While the staff were polite and professional, the service felt a bit impersonal at times. We would have appreciated a warmer welcome or more proactive assistance during our visit.
Overall, TRYP Porto Center Hotel is a good option if youโre looking for a well-located and reasonably priced place to stay in Porto. Itโs not luxurious, but it provides the essentials for a comfortable stay.

The location is central.The room I ended up with was lovely, it had a balcony, the bed was comfortable and I enjoyed the bath as well. The staff were accommodating and the breakfast was also good, if a little basic.
I had specifically requested a room that was quiet and not adjacent to an elevator or staircase. I ended up with exactly that to begin with, but after I asked reception to move, I was moved to the top floor where I had a superb room.

We booked two rooms for ourselves and our friends. Our friends room on the 3rd floor was so small that you barely had room for a suitcase on the floor. Our room, on the 4th floor, was better. Even with a Do Not Disturb sign on the door, staff entered the room and made the bed. After hot flashes during the night, I prefer to leave my sheets folded down to give the sheets a chance to breathe and dry. EVERY TIME we left our room, our keys did not work on our return. We were careful to keep the keys in pockets away from phones or credit cards but it didnโt help. Weekday staff were very good but weekend staff were not helpful at all.

Location is good, transport is relatively easy. Rooms we got was superb in terms of size with an extra balcony beeing on the top floor.
Breakfast is good, but could be with better more variations or change daily variations; should add more coffee machines in case of high occupancy to avoid long queue.
Bed was not comfortable, too hard and we need to put the duvet on top of the mattras to add comfort.

Good points : staff were friendly, very helpful and there was always someone on duty who spoke English so that was a real bonus.
Not too far to walk to nearest Metro station so made it easier to visit the sights & facilities of Porto.
Breakfast was very good; bacon, eggs, fruit, croissants, pastries, all the usual continental breakfast foods but for me better cooked and presented than many of the hotels Iโve stayed in.
Bad points : there was only a small area behind reception if you wanted to sit and chat with your
friends.
Room sizes varied, I met up with two friends and their double room was much smaller than the double room I had. The facilities in the rooms were not necessarily the same, my room had an extra armchair and the double bed was two large singles together.
I paid over โฌ200 for two nights and thought this was a little excessive but I only booked a few days before staying there so beware making a late booking the prices can change dramatically.

The location was a little bit off the center but it wasn't a big deal. I didn't like that there were two twin beds instead of a one big bed. Our son wanted to sleep with us and it was a bit uncomfortable to be in the middle even though we put blankets in between. The beds still moved and there was still space in the middle.

Hotels parking policy. If you only need to park your car for one night but have a multiple night stay you have to pay for parking for the length of your stay. We didn't choose that very expensive option. The young man at the front desk was very helpful and got us a much better parking option right beside the hotel.

We loved the location of the hotel: quiet and lovely area, close to the city center. The room was comfy and the huge terrace was a really nice surprise. Happy with the breakfast.
I was disappointed with the check-in experience at this hotel. The lady who checked us in could have been more welcoming. Maybe this was not her intention, but she came across as dismissive and not quite polite. This might seem like something minor, but first impressions matter, and, unfortunately, this kind of interaction can set a negative tone for the stay, when there's no need for it.

Clean and comfortable rooms. Good breakfast. Helpful staff. Hotel parking garage was unavailable during our stay, but there was another parking lot nearby. 30-minutes walk (mainly downhill) from the hotel to the riverbank in Porto, so itโs easy to walk to many wonderful sites, restaurants, and shops. Return walk is uphill, so get your cardio workout in (or take a taxi).

Very large and airy room, with comfy chair and very good bed. Everything very clean, and staff super friendly. Good choice of breakfast items.
To be honest, nothing here not to like. This is a chain hotel, so it's not very individualistic, but it's a very good chain hotel.

Room was clean and air conditioning blew cold when we figured out how to use it. Staff was super at providing ice daily as I had a fall and required ice to treat swelling. Beds changed when asked (have a card to leave out) and towels daily. Room quiet and not disturbed by hall or outside noise. Shower was hot and with good pressure.
Staff had good offerings for restaurants near by (across the road and up the street a bit).
The beds were SO firm and rather uncomfortable.
The breakfast was adequate, although there were minimal gluten free options for bread, muffins even with asking staff. The jams and such were communal and not suitable for someone with food allergies (gluten or others including nuts).
The hotel is a bit of a distance from the main tourist area. Porto is hilly and walking uphill to the hotel after walking and touring all day was an effort.

The coffee was ok
The beds are the most uncomfortable we've ever experienced in our life, and this is not an exaggeration. My wife only slept 1 of the nights. I had literally pain from sleeping on them. They are as hard as sleeping on the floor.
The breakfast was also some of the worst we ever had. Everything tasted off. Some food like the bread and sausages didn't have any taste at all. At first I thought I was getting sick but after going to a brunch bar I realized there was nothing wrong with my senses. We skipped breakfast all other days and went out for brunch instead.
All other facilities also felt like the prime of their life was far over.
I really don't understand the review score this hotel has. It should be a lot lower.

The location.
The breakfast served every morning was ordinary at best. Water was leaking into our bedroom through the windows which made it very cold.
The mini bar menu was unclear with the pricing.
