Breakfast is quite good. The variety is good but they should offer vegetarian options also visible on the table. Besides we would have appreciated if even one Halal meat item was served but we understand it was not feasible.
Location is also quite good as it is connected from many directions to different important venues, there is tram stop which can make you reach city center and lisberg + universeum on one main artery of the road where scandic opalen is located already.
I believe we ventured to book a big fancy hotel, where we were offered the easily available standard services like good Breakfast buffet, but I also feel that they have a variety of rooms like low-cost and high-cost grades. Somehow, getting a booking from Internet made us feel less privileged when we entered the room like two single beds joined to make one and mattresses, moreover, the TV in the room was old and had no direct Internet connection or apps like Netflix and Youtube. So I felt that we paid quite high price but still fell on the 2nd grade. I must say it was still not bad at all. But on excitement and satisfaction scale we are 7 or 7.5 out of 10. But still it will be a decent choice if you get a room. The hotel seemed quite a popular choice for the performers in some event in SCANDINAVIUM near-by happening last weekend, when we were there

I loved the use of the sauna, it helped me with recovery in-between racing, as I was there to compete in the World Masters Athletics Championships.
When I arrived the bed sheet had a stain on it, but other then that the room was good.

Stayed here last year when working at the Vin and Deli festival so it was great to come back knowing we would get a friendly welcome and very helpful staff. I could not work the new shower and the lovely lady came up from reception in a matter of minutes to show me. The rooms are very comfy and the hand wash smells divine. Great choice at breakfast and overall amazing value for money.

We booked superior king plus room, however inside decoration and facilities are very poor. Such as hair dryer which works very slow and noisy. There is no telephone in the room so you have to use your own phone or walk to reception to ask questions and order food. No choices on the bed pillow and the pillow in the bed looks more like a cushion

So we had bad luck that a kids football team was accommodated on our floor. Even though I understand that kids are kids, it felt more like being in a student dormitory rather then a hotel: kids shouting, running around the corridor, slamming door, listening to loud music. Every night I had to call the reception to get then to quiet down efter 11 pm.
The cleanliness was ok in the room, not clinical tough, but the halls, lobbies and common areas were dirty, unfortunately even the kids playroom.

Breakfast were healthy and were often refilled so that everyone gets theirs. The hotel was full of families staying with kids. Despite that, we didn't hear a lot of noise, and the facilities are kept clean and tidy. City center is walkable.
The spa and fitness center are small: it's only a single sauna room and a single hot tub for a 15-floor hotel. In the evening, the spa area is wet and unattended. The fitness machines are old and squeaky.

Everything was nice and quiet in this hotel. It was a great experience, The location is great too and the staff were very nice.
There were sports groups and they were unsupervised, so their voices and a lot of joking in the hotel corridors were a source of disturbance, so we did not enjoy a peaceful sleep.
There was no fridge in the room, the airconditioning was also not performing the way it should.
