We had a delightful stay at the Queensbury, I must say we were suspicious as the prices were low but when we arrived it did not disappoint. The photos are representative to how the rooms actually are.
The hotel reception didn't give us the option of hypoallergenic pillows, I was unfortunately disappointed this was something they didn't offer.

The building was old and not really modern, it was regency style which is not really to my liking. I personally prefer more modern designs.

The place was so close to the beach, the staff were friendly and it was great value for the money. We would definitely return again.
How many stairs I had to climb, wasn't the best when I'm 5 months pregnant. Also the bed was a little hard, but was manageable and slept ok :) Again, that's due to me being pregnant.

Sink in bathroom took a very long time to drain, even when just washing my hands!

The Christmas tree at the centre of the square wasn't the nicest, there could have planted more flowers in the public square, it was just mainly grass in the centre of the square without anything else interesting.

I arrived at the Queensbury late, after trying but failing to check in at a budget lock box check-in place, which was disastrous. In stark contrast, at the Queensbury I was greeted by a lovely helpful and smiley receptionist, who showed me to my ENORMOUS room. It was vintage, but very clean with crisp white bed linen and generous towels. I felt nurtured and safe. Slept like a log. Thank you for a last-minute rescue on a rainy day stranded in Brighton in the rain, half way through a longer journey. I felt so grateful. Would happily stay here again. What a relief to find such kind human hospitality.

Location fantastic. Room basic but had everything you need for a short stay. Bed was quite squeaky but was comfortable and the pillows were decent. Overall decent value for money considering the rate for a midweek stay.
It was quite warm being near the top of the building, and had some city centre noisiness to contend with when the window was open. The window also fell down closed in the early hours, which was an unpleasant shock!

Cleaners smoking cigarettes in the entrance on multiple occasions when there’s a park on the other side of the road. The Scaffold was being removed at 9am so very noisy.

It was a awful experience.
The person in the room above was playing loud music and singing , stomping around and what sounded like furniture being dragged around all night, I can only think he was on drugs.
My daughter was quite scared, I tried to ring the emergency phone number but had no reply.
We left as soon as we could at 6 am.
I tried to email the hotel to let them know they didnt even reply to my email so im leaving this truthful review, and then they will know.
I would never ever stay here again
And the smell that came out of the plumbing in the room was awful.

Great location - almost directly across from the i360 - close to the centre but quiet and easy to locate. The decor in the halls continued all the way through (so it's fun to interpret some of the images) which gives it a feel of being cared for, even if a little worn in places.
Staff were courteous and requests met quickly. Our room on the top floor (quite the work out!) was small but had everything we needed and the beds were comfy - and a sea view!
Some reviews can be overly picky in relation to the cost of the room, but apart from a tricky window (par for the course when that close to the sea, which is wet), I can't fault it!
