On a positive note, the breakfast was decent and in line with what we paid.
The condition of the room was far below expectations:
- The room was dirty, with visible stains on the bed linens.
- The bathroom had mold, the curtains were filthy, and the toilet had an unclean spot. The floor mat was also dirty.
- One of the beds (the one I slept on) was completely sagging, which caused me to wake up with significant back pain.
- I was woken up at 2 AM by a group of noisy, partying hotel guests.
- There were also smaller annoyances, such as a dirty outdoor table with odd stains and a TV that was not positioned directly in front of the beds. These, however, are not the main issues.
- During checkout, the staff seemed highly disinterested and made no effort to engage or assist.

The food in the restaurant was some of the worst food I have ever had given the price levels. Everything was cooked from frozen with tasteless pizza on night one. Night two consited of oven chips, chewy gammon and oil drenched onion rings. I was the only person eating in the restaurants, says everything. I did complain and the price of the meals taken off the bill. No argument from staff.

Natasha was a lovely helpful waitress who I observed being friendly and engaging with a toddler and a very elderly gentleman in the same professional but friendly way. I heard her get on well with her colleague Brook. Our meal was relaxed and enjoyable because she was running the service. You have a real gem of an employee.
Cold room. The long curtains can’t be drawn over the radiator so the heat is lost through the window/door. If you could put a thick blind on the window to prevent heat loss & preserve privacy, curtain can cover the door & heat retained in the room. Heating didn’t come on until 6pm which was too late when you can check in from 3. I was cold during the night too. Bathrooms dated but clean & functioned well.Dinner was well presented & cooked.

Friendly and helpful staff when checking in and checking out. Large car park and pleasant external facade. I always like rooms with balconies. Decently powerful shower (albeit I'm not a great fan of overly soft water).
A little bit "faded glory" - the room was badly in need of refresh - chipped paint, decayed "silvering" on bathroom mirror, etc.. All rather old a tired.

The room we stayed in was ok.
But the bathroom extractor did not work.
We were told it was on a timer but it never went on. Also the window blind didn’t work and we had no privacy with the curtain opened. A little embarrassing when someone walked passed the room outside.
The first bed near the bathroom was very noisy when turning over in bed and needs looking at but I did manage to sleep.
The TV should be in the middle of the room, not at the end.
No hairdryer in the room .
I spoke to reception re the blinds and extractor.
They did offer a different room but it was late in the evening and we declined
But we never got a hairdryer.
The room itself was spacious but it’s in need of an update.

Good location and price for the room was good value for one night accommodation only.
The room was ok, not badly decorated. We were informed by reception we had been upgraded! But the bed mattress was uncomfortable and you could feel the springs in your back, and it dipped alot as well, so not a good night's sleep. The bathroom needs refurbishment, the plug holes were rusty, some wall tiles had black mark's on them and the floor around the bath area was shabby and didn't look nice at all. Stayed at the hotel about two or three years ago, and not much improvement to windows in rooms or the bathrooms, definitely need some refurbishment and TLC.
Dinner in the main restaurant was ok, burgers, but nothing special and prices were high. The menu hasn't been changed since we were last there two or three years ago. No pasta dishes, or traditional pub food, like pies or sausages and mash etc. Lots of cajun influenced food on menu, not sure why. Needs to up the game with menu choices. Also food took a long time to come too, don't know why, as we were the only people in the restaurant and it was burgers and chips.

The outside of the hotel is a traditional thatched cottage style building
We stayed for 9 days the sheets we not changed once , apart from new towels the room wasn’t clean . The hotel was severely understaffed, the bar food was deep fried and overcooked, we only had 1 buffet breakfast the whole time we were there and the rest of the time it was menu based which took a very long time to take your order and cook . The hotel smelt musty and old. It lacked an in house dining area with quality food if you just wanted to dine in.

The breakfast only one staff member who was overworked trying to service everyone, if there was no buffet , the food seemed to be warmed up and was dry.. The bedding was never changed,
,and bathroom supplies not replaced like toilet rolls and shower gel . A lot of the time it was hard to find a staff member
