Not far from train station, close to sea, beach and harbour, night entertainment, sports bar for tv sports, pool area inside.Staff helpful, polite. When we checked out, we asked to leave bags at reception which they have a room, they phoned us a taxi to train station, you can ask for pack lunches it's just basic at Β£4.50, but it does for the journey home, order this the night before. We had one evening meal dinner buffet Β£ 12.50 each, starter, main meal and dessert, enjoyed. Make sure you wear your wrist band all the time, so the staff no you are staying there. There is stair lifts, on stairs and lifts

Need doors on rooms to be looked at as you have to slam to get them to close, without using key, they rattle all doors nearby, Otherwise you are woken up from 6.30am will guest leaving rooms, could hear tennis being played on courts from 7am not sure if this is part of hotel, maybe put toiletries in bathroom, only got 2 small soap, 2 sachets for hair/ body on check in, so advise to take your own. Wifi in only selected rooms, as doing refurbishment on rooms. They offer upgrade at Β£10.00 per person so beware when you are checking in, if you want to upgrade then fine, just a heads up. Bit of walking to rooms, lifts couldn't make head or tales which floors it went, like a rabbit warren

The rooms were very clean.
The hotel is very outdated and in desperate need of an upgrade. The dining area and the breakfast needs a revamp. The breakfast was not appealing. There was not a lot of variety and no finess. I booked because of the reviews and pictures. However, I now know that most of the pictures on their site are of the new building.

We booked a family room online. On arrival we were given an annex room which there's no mention of when booking. We had our 2 young Grandchildren with us they were both very scared in there because it was so rowdy & in the car park. Front door looked rough & carpet needs ripping out. On the door step the following morning there was a beer can!

The little interaction I had with staff was great and location fantastic!
Just a few mins walk to the beach and only a little bit further to town.
Breakfast was fine and filled me up but was missing cooked toms, mushrooms, black pudding, only had white bread and only a couple spreads... Nice to be served coffee at your table
I would book and stay there again.
Room was very dated but expected that from comments.
The shower head was partially blocked and no power plugs near beds.
Once at the hotel and settled in, discovered I could've payed Β£5 more per person for newer refurbished rooms but that wasn't an option when using booking.com

The property was well presented and pleasant.
The reception staff were pleasant but the male bar staff and waiting staff were quite rude and didnβt appear like they wanted to be there.
The lady on reception (Saturday evening 27th September) was extremely kind and professional, and she truly deserves special recognition. She answered all my questions with patience and courtesy, even when I was frustrated about the lack of Wi-Fi in the room and the impossibility of being moved to another room with a better connection. Her service was definitely a redeeming feature of my stay.
I was disappointed to find that there is no Wi-Fi in the rooms. What made things worse is that I couldnβt even access mobile data on my phone inside the room. When I asked at reception, I was told the website claims there is "limited Wi-Fi", but on Booking.com the listing says βfree Wi-Fiβ twice, and states βFree WiFi is provided in public areas.β They really ought to clarify what βpublic areasβ means. Apparently it refers to reception ONLY, and even there the connection is poor.
If you plan to work remotely, do not stay here. Youβll have no reliable internet. The Wi-Fi in the reception area is weak, and with loud music and lots of people around, working becomes impossible.
Although the hotel is cheaper than others nearby, I found it very old and outdated. The furniture, carpet, etc., are in need of replacement. Overall, it felt too expensive for what it actually offers.

A very friendly hotel. Clean and comfortable throughout. Entertainment was excellent. Restaurant staff were first class, always clearing the table of any used dishes but only when they knew you had finished with them. They were polite and worked very hard and were very helpful and always had a smile on their faces. Nothing was too much trouble for them .
The only problem I experienced was the noise from the reception staff when they changed shifts. My room was above them and was woken up at 6.30 each morning with them talking. I complained the first morning and they apologised but they did it again the next morning.
Its a shame there wasnβt much choice for vegetarians for the main meal.

Only thing didn't like was having to que to go in restaurant at dinner time I found it easier to nip across to pub across the road for our dinner .
