The hotel is just beautiful. The grounds and the buildings are very well maintained and the setting is spectacular! The staff was great and everyone was very willing to help.

The bed in our room was extremely lumpy and not comfortable at all. Its a shame because everything else about this hotel was top quality!

room was quiet and comfortable. Had a separate small area with desk for working, great bathroom with two sinks. bed was comfortable. one thing that we really liked, everyone told us to have a Merry Christmas, not happy holiday, we liked that.

ordered a bison burger from the Tavern restaurant, it had bacon on it, the bacon was not fried at all, still raw. We complained, they adjusted the price, so it ended up well.

We ate at The La Tavern and were extremly disappointed with the quality of food. We have been there before but the prime rib was tasteless and the food was served luke warm instead of hot. Will not spend the money there again.

My Wife and I celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary here and stayed in the cottages. The room was of great size and the area was fairly quiet and relaxing.

The shuttle services ran a bit slow but we were told it was a very busy weekend with a wedding of 300 guests and a birthday event I believe. All other services provided were pretty good.

Great location. Beautiful grounds. We visited in November, and it was not at all crowded. Seven Falls was great. The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo was wonderful. We enjoyed the swimming pool and hot tub, though wished our room had been closer to them. The hotel room was beautiful and clean. We asked to have a microwave, fridge and extra roll away bed in the room, and they were willing to add these things at no extra charge.

Several of the activities we had hoped to do were closed due to it being a weekday during their slow time. The website and app were also not easy to use, and I found it hard to find things or figure out what was open and closed. Even the staff didn't seem to know all of the time.

I've always loved the Broadmoor, and it is extremely lovely at Christmas time with the air of magical lighting and snowflakes in the air. With such a large resort, it is hard to feel special while you are there however, especially from an overall pricepoint. While the rooms can be decently priced, once you've paid resort & parking fees, another $17 per person for their on site 7 falls, high priced resort drink and eats...well, it's punchy, very very punchy. I also felt that over the years it's become a bit more strict and less easy going...for example you can't even walk into the Golden Bee without being questioned on your booking and reservation, even at 9pm for after dinner drinks. Fun once you get in my a local bee hive should be less stuffy at the door. I'm almost positive 10 years ago there was no doorman there...We also . dined in the Penrose Rose for the chef's tasting menu and we extremely disappointed in the quality and diversity of the offering. I now live in Sydney, AU so perhaps my global experiences have left me harder to impress but for the pricepoint and the ratings, we expected more.

We had 3 rooms just before Christmas. The decorations and setting were magical! We may try to stay every Christmas-time! We love the English pub-style "Hotel Bar."

We did not have brunch reservations, so we had a brunch buffet in the West Building. The food was good, but not special. Next time, we will get reservations for the "highly spoken of" brunch.

The Broadmoor seems to be the rare luxury hotel that lives up to expectations. We had one of the "basic" rooms and it was enormous, gorgeous, and packed with amenities. There are several restaurants on site for any taste, the food and wine/drinks were uniformly excellent, and the setting and facilities themselves were absolutely stunning, with thoughtful touches such as robes and slippers in the rooms and complimentary umbrellas at every outside door. The staff was, for the most part, helpful and kind without being overwhelming, and every member of staff greets guests with a hello and a smile wherever you are on the extensive property. Bonuses: Spanish-speaking staff (one staff member took the time to have an entire conversation in Spanish with one family), an on-site library, a luxe movie theatre, a bowling alley, and resident deer.

Staff could get impatient during busy times. There also didn't seem to be anywhere to purchase necessities on site (I had a headache and no ibuprofen at one point). A simple request to move to a higher floor during check-in right at the start of check-in (i.e., 4 p.m.) was not handled well, and neither was a change to a breakfast order in the cafe ("Back up. Start over" with a heavy sigh and a shake of the head). In general, the restaurants are extremely expensive, even if they are fantastic.
