The hotel was absolutely gorgeous. The staff was amazing. I loved the extra security of having to use your room key to get into the elevator and bathroom. It made us feel safe. The beds were extremely comfortable and the pillows, too. We loved every second of our stay!
$8 for a bottled water blew our minds a little. ? They do give you a $10 credit everyday, tho, so that helped. ❤️

The lobby and bar placement were great and the decorations were beautiful. The breakfast was good (but not worth $30 yeesh).
An extremely overpowering scent in the lobby - it was like breathing a Christmas candle and was choking for anyone sensitive to scents.
My room was on the first floor and had a joining door that had no soundproofing. I was wakened at 6am every morning by my neighbor having conference calls (sorry about your layoffs), and kept up late past midnight by his South Park binges on TV. It was clean and well kept otherwise.
The bar had three beer choices, all bad ones. Three.

It was a great hotel, beautiful architecture. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially the valet parking people.
Downtown Los Angeles is not a place I would want to be unless it was for business. The staff at Hilton Checkers do a great job of keeping you safe. Unfortunately, we will probably not go back because of the location. Also, your online pictures give the impression that the balcony is a cool restaurant, but we were told it's only available by private reservation. Very misleading.

Very comfortable room with fridge, nice coffee and lovely bathroom. Great location downtown, close to the Metro. The guys at the main entrance are really nice and friendly and gave great advice for travel info.
Would be nice to have a bottle of complementary drinking water in the room, especially arriving from a long trip.

Beautiful hotel. Lovely and pleasant as soon as you walk in with the bar and lounge at the entrance. Very comfortable and clean. Location is great in downtown LA. Staff are very lovely and pleasant. Loved that the room had a full bath tub which is rare treat not offered in many hotels we’ve stayed at around the world; bed is very comfortable; room and closet space is spacious, clean with great furnishings; window that you could open to let in some fresh air; fridge is available in the room; USB ports next to the bedside lamp was fantastic - it was the small things that made our stay enjoyable especially coming from overseas and for our final leg of our first holiday in USA.
The extra costs, taxes and charges that follow on arrival, after you’ve booked and paid in advance. Complementary water in the room would’ve been great as a supplementary to the tea & coffee that is offered.

Valet only parking, and this was expensive, particularly when it is the next door garage that is used (using this is $18 compared to valet $54 plus tax). Also compulsory $30 destination charge, which is just a hike in room rate for little benefit

The Hotel and the room was beautiful, as I expected during booking. The bed is good quality, pillow is soft enough. The location is super good, closed to center with many attractions around, within walking distance.
I felt too bad with front dest. Aftẻ more than 20 hours flight from Vietnam, I wanted a short rest in my room before getting to the business dinner later on. But I was stopped by front desk by the reason "the booking is not under my real name as in my ID". Well, it happened with Booking.com that I could do the same with various hotels in the US, not the first time. But what made me total disappointed was the front desk's manner. Instead of helping me out by reaching to local Booking.com or any other way to change my name, which is the hotel policy, she turned her face and asked me to do everything by myself, even I could not borrow the phone to make a call. this was not my first time staying at Hilton. I did had a booking from problem at Hilton Garden Inn, Staten Island, New York, but the staff there was so helpful and friendly to explained and helped me out.
So in overal, I was satisfied with the hotel for the price more than $200/night, which is not cheap. But I was totally upset with the front desk lady, who I saw behaved bad with two other guests before me, by saying "would you please stand a side to give privacy to this guest" with a demanding look as if she was granted something to beggars, while I was too sure that those two guests had to pay above $200 like I did.

Customer service & Management at this hotel is not professional or considerate. You get the run around by the front desk. Their cancellation policy is useless, you have to cancel before you book a room which is unheard of! I will never book here again!
