Very basic, but clean and comfortable place to stay. Top draw is the prime location just off Hollywood Blvd on Cahuenga. It's an easy walk to the top Hollywood attractions, and the LAX FLyAway bus and METRO stops on Hollywood/Vine. I got around on public transportation, but there are numerous $10 all-day parking lots in the immediate area if you have a car. NEIGHBORHOOD BONUS: Finding a large Farmers' Market, Sundays weekly, on the way to Starbucks!
Noise was never a problem; maybe I just got lucky on a Saturday/Sunday night. Owner seemed to indicate Friday night had been loud, but club nights change. The air conditioner was kind of loud, but in a good way to drown out any noise. Disposable cups or something would be nice. Otherwise, byo.

It is ideally situated between Sunset Bvd and Hollywood Bvd right at the walk of fame, so that's a bonus at least.
Place didn't feel clean at all. Toilet and bath was very poorly presented. Mark's and scratches all over the place. Poor, cheap linen as well on the bed.

Price and location (an inexpensive alternative between Sunset and Hollywood Boulevards. Wifi and TV worked well. Helpful staff.
Bathroom was not very clean (hair and schmutz on the floor). No bathroom floor mat, no disposable cup in room, steep stairs when you first enter hotel (if you have large heavy luggage be prepared), room right above very loud bar that was open late on Friday and Saturday nights.

The location was perfect within walking distance to cafes and Hollywood Walk of Fame. It was also almost 8-10 mins walk to Flyaway Airport Shuttle stop which is very convenient. The bed is queen size and comfortable and in general the room is clean. There is a Sunday Farmers Market opposite the hotel and it is a lovely place to walk around and get a taste of local organic food. The manager who checked us in was pleasant.
The amenities were too basic. No wardrobe or hooks to hang clothes or towels. No kettle or tea/ coffee amenities. No free bottles of water or water fountain/ dispenser available on corridor. The stairs from the street to 1 level up is very steep, narrow and high. Not suitable for heavy hard casing luggage as you may struggle with it. There were faint thumping noises or people talking on the streets from nearby clubs till 5am on weekends. However, I was already expecting this from previous reviews and it didn't really bother me that much.

Dont stay here is the worst place the smell bad a lot noise at night. You have park on the street a homeless broke into my car .theres roaches the bathroom was dirty and scary the carpet is dark of the dirtiness

I was confident the towel was clean! but low bar isnt it. I could lock my door and felt safe another low bar though. The staff were not there on arrival but not too far away and were polite and hospitable.
The room stank of weed. I must have been high when I left the next day after sleeping in there. There was cigarette burns on the bed covers. It was a made bed and I expect clean but I did not feel comfortable to get in the covers and was expecting bugs to craw over me or something. The bathroom was better but not by much.

The front desk guy is always polite. Explains check out and few other rules. Great guy. I didn’t realize that. Got a room with my own bathroom and that was kewl.

Location is great very close to Hollywood Boulevard and close to shops and restaurants.
Hotel is old, no microwave and water heater for coffee or tea. Refrigerator is not working well.

I always feel at home when I stay at the west inn the manager is a very nice and understanding person. I’m glad it’s still good successful people in the world!And the housekeeper are nice hard working people who always make sure that you everything you need with no problems.
