Proximity to Crypto.com Arena.
We travelled to LA from Sydney - for a three week long trip and this was the starting stay for us as a couple. We stayed 5 nights at Loft Studio at Floor 13th. The hotel is announced to close down in January after our booking which now makes better sense as it's pretty worn out and outdated in many ways - compared to other Ace hotels I have stayed and the new fancy Ace Hotel in Sydney.
We picked the location due to proximity to Cryptocom Arena knowing already the area was not extremely safe - that's definitely a downer for anyone who is not familiar with the homeless situation in California and US in general. Streets are full of homeless, drug addicts and people roaming high and this may be intimidating for most people.
The hotel doesn't have a valet service and there is no hotel parking - you need to find a place to park your car and deal with the homeless around and pay stupidly high fees on top.
The hotel room despite being great in size was very worn down and outdated in terms of facilities. It also didn't feel clean unfortunately. Plumbing and shower had problems as well.

Very dark rooms very little lighting. Strange decor. I’ve never slept with my feet against the wall under the tv. Drug addicts on the street all night. No response when messages sent. No valet parking. Not a suitable area to walk around after dark.

I've been wanting to stay at this hotel for years, which had been hindered and cancelled multiple times with COVID. The exterior and design of the rooms had always been a drawcard. LOAM had a nice breakfast menu.
It was an absolute disappointment. There was no mention of this when booking via Booking.com, but the hotel is closing. So, there wasn't much care left. The rooms were slightly shabby and most disappointing of all, was that the hotel was playing host to a rooftop closing party that night. Had we been told this (which we weren't), we would not have booked. It was so insanely loud that sleep was impossible. Kindly, when I asked to move rooms, I was accommodated, but it did little and I seemed to be near a staircase or room where people were still active into the early hours of the morning. Paying such a cost for a boutique hotel – where you pay to SLEEP – seemed like one party had skimped on the bare minimum of their offering. Randomly, there was also no hot water in either room, or my colleagues room. No one was bothered though as the hotel is closing down. Such a shame for what I had considered as such a high quality brand.

The bed and the gym. I have stayed at this hotel before when it was Ace Hotel in 2018 and I absolutely loved it and had nothing but rave reviews. Unfortunately, this time, it was only the bed and coffee that was likeable.
I did not like the virtual desk, there was no han aspect. Ace was purchased by Kasa 1/31/24 and we booked prior to and were informed a week after the fact. We were insured by Kasa that our stay would not be affected and would have the same amenities. That was not the case.
Imagine going to a hotel during the pandemic and everything was abandoned, that's what it was like. It seemed like Kasa was not ready to reopen at STILE and should've refunded their customers.
You could not get a live person and everything was virtual. We couldn't even get an ice bucket.
Soaps were on the ground, not even in their holders, we had the bare minimum. The quality was of a Motel 6 which was unfortunate as this was for my birthday weekend and was expecting the quality of the Ace Hotel which I was promised.

The staff at the location was very friendly and helpful
The staff I spoke to on the phone and via text had no idea what they were talking about. First of all I was told that there was no parking within close proximity to the property which is incorrect. There is two paid parking lots on either side of the property. I also requested a refrigerator in my room which they said they could not accommodate. Surprisingly, there is already refrigerator in the room and I think what I liked least of all was there is no bathroom door. Kinda odd.

The location is great, a nice block surrounded by historic theaters in the Fashion District. I was attending a conference at the Convention Center and it was easy and convenient. We had dinner at Zinqué and it was delicious! Wish I could have seen the show at the adjacent UA theater, Cat Power was playing, but I had an early night. Also wish I could have shopped at Ganni, but work shmirk. Next time!!
The vibe is a little ‘elevated dorm room’ but honestly it was so comfortable and they have many nice finishes and amenities so I would stay again. Slept great, super comfortable.

Not enough towels, the shower did not have a curtain so the water went everywhere. Shower tile should be scrubbed because I saw moldy tiles in the corner. At 9:22 am, I was woken up by knocking. When I asked who it is, they started entering our door code to enter. I had to get out of bed and open the door and hotel staff/maid was walking away and didn’t apologize. Unacceptable. Parking should be comped from hotel, no parking on site and having to pay and walk to my car is likely a reason I wouldn’t stay again. Everything is too expensive

It's going to depend on what you are looking for, but I loved my stay here. It's definitely minimalist. The bed was comfortable but low to the ground kind of futon like. I thought that the rooms had great light and I liked the whole overall vibe of the place. The coffee shop in the lobby was cool and even though the counter closes around lunch time I think, I made tea and took my book down there and read for a while anyway. I really liked the rooftop spot. It's too bad that the rooftop bar isn't open anymore, it was most likely a very cool place to hang out, but it was quiet and very chill. It's a modern no contact type of place, but the staff we did see and talk to was very nice.
Honestly - I liked all of it. There wasn't anything not to like for me. If you feel like you need a tall, lush, deep mattress and silence in your room then this may not be your place, but the room was really comfortable overall and I slept great. They even had a noise machine!

It was in centre, close to the metro station with many routes. It was comfortable, nice room, it has a nice rooftop with a pool.
The location is not so good when it comes to feeling safe walking around neighbourhood. We were avoiding walking around in the evening or night time. During the day time, we quickly realised which streets are safer to walk around (streets near Financial district).
