The location was great, easy to get to the Riverwalk, Alamo, Hop on Hop off bus, restaurants and shops. The hotel has a lot of character with the frontier decor. The beds were comfortable and the rooms very clean. It was the perfect place to stay for our weekend visit.

I like the comfortable bed, friendly staff and location.
I was extremely disappointed with the bathroom. It was not updated. The tub was disgusting. The calking was thrown around the perimeter of the tub very distastefully. And it appears it had been painted or something, you could see it wearing thin. And when I stepped in to take a shower, it appeared to have a large dip in the center of it. In my 50 years, I have never seen a bathroom this displeasing in a hotel.

The location is excellent. We had a car but didn't need it. We walked to the river walk on a daily basis. Our room was comfortable and the pub great.
I din't like that the room was right over the lobby and you could hear everything going on down there.

What Breakfast? The Crocket Tavern was quaint and food was very good.
The room was very dark. Bathroom was small and needs updating. The Elevator floors has cracks in tile. The desk staff need to be better trained when the parade on Friday was going on, to explain to us how our taxi driver was to be able to pick us up so we could leave in time for our 2:00PM flight. We had to leave at 9:00AM to ensure we were able to get out because of traffic.

Nice rooms and close to the Alamo and the river walk and shopping/restaurants.
Had to get a new coffee pot and I think we got a new TV cause it didnt work the second night. I got kind of mad about the whole mandatory valet parking thing and $45 a day plus tax, plus tip. We probably wouldnt have stayed there if we knew about it ahead of time. Only took it out on the 3rd day.

I love that the valet and front desk greeted us by name that was a major plus. Staff was extremely helpful and nice. The building was stunning for being a older hotel everything was clean and well maintained. The bed was comfortable as well ! The location was perfect go out the back door of the hotel you are on a short walk to the Alamo and to many river walk entrances we parked the car and never touched it everything was in walking distances.
I didn't like that the mini fridge was connected to the wall switch just by habit of turning off the lights we would turn off the fridge as well so no cold waters. But did not ruin stay as to there was a ice machine just one floor above us.

The sister property, The Menger, has a beautiful outdoor pool which we could use. The Menger is next to The Crocket.
Also the cafe on the ground floor was outstanding.
The bathrooms need updating but are not bad by any means.

I like how the hotel was close to everything and in downtown. Staff was very friendly and helpful!
The room was very clean and comfortable. But the shower was not draining and had to stop showering for a few minutes so the water could go down the drain. The AC was not working. We needed the AC to work in Texas. I mentioned this to the staff, but they couldn't get it fixed. I was thinking maybe they were going to comp me for at least one night. But that didn't happen. Since we slept uncomfortable for a couple of nights.

Great location. Valet parked our vehicle and we didnt need it until we checked out!
Walls and windows let in way too much noise! We were on the 4th floor and could hear people outside the hotel on the street and courtyard yelling and partying until 2 in the morning. The AC unit was also very noisy.

Location close to the riverwalk. Close to food and SEA LIFE San Antonio aquarium. Beautiful and spacious corner room. Their restaurant food is really good and I appreciate they have a cafe to purchase a breakfast sandwich and caffeine to start the day.
When checking on front desk clerk did not mention thats there would be a pending $150 charge on the credit card for incidentals. Had to speak to management and they clarified that once the stay is completed then the pending charge would be removed. Shower water would fluctuate hot and cold water- due to other rooms flushing toilets and housekeeping washing sheets.

The front desk clerk was amazing. My friend arrived after I did and he had everything ready at the front desk- room number and key etc. Everyone at the hotel was very accommodating, and the meals we had in the restaurant were very good. Since we did not have a car, proximity to the Alamo and good food choices nearby within walking distance were a must. The mall is directly across the street and we could access the Riverwalk from the mall. We wanted to stay in an historic hotel and would definitely stay at The Crockett again. Can't beat the location and the accommodations.
There is a lot of construction going on outside the hotel. However, the rooms were fairly sound proof and the noise didn't really bother us because we were out most of the day. We stayed on The Alamo side of the hotel.

I would like to thank the valet team as well as Ashli Lopez and Edgar Ozuna for their Excellent customer care and service. They're really amazing at what they do. It's far and in between when you run into folks like this.
Valet parking price was a bit pricey for me, but I also have to consider that my car was in a secure area with people like Ashli and Edgar's service.

Absolutely no one was around the main desk when I arrived. I had to track down an employee from the restaurant. The pool wasn't clean. The area around the pool was very poorly kept. My room had hairs in three places. My pillows smelled faintly like cigarettes. There was no information in the room about hotel amenities, but there was a flyer warning against a local pizza restaurant. The halls smelled dank. All the room doors close loudly. The entrances to the hotel are not properly monitored. Vagrants and addicts roam the area. Parking is a pain. I did not feel safe leaving my car. Neither the parking lot nor the nearby garage have any security or surveillance.
