great location close to union square. staff were very charming and friendly. room with clean and nicely proportioned. lots of good restaurants within a short drive. cafe mason just up the street was a good breakfast venue
it's not the properties fault but San Francisco has an issue with homeless people. the reception staff gave clear guidance of areas not to walk in.

We have stayed at Hotel Nikko San Francisco several times as our annual family gateway trip. Great services, clean and elegant room. Indoor pool is amazing. Easy access to downtown San Francisco. We also recommend getting a room on imperial club floor. The lounge is comfortable, and we enjoyed yummy appetizers and complimentary drinks in the evening as well as good quality breakfast.

Initially I had reservations at another hotel in the vicinity of Nikko, however there was an issue with cleanliness at the previous hotel. I was able to get a reservation last minute at Nikko and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us for what happened at our previous hotel. We were satisfied with the excellent amenities and the bar tender Shawn was extremely helpful and very friendly. Overall, we love the hotel and plan on rebooking the next time we’re in town.

The bed was ridiculously comfortable and the cheese and wine was really tasty. Great location and very nice room. Hotel over all is gorgeous and we’d definitely stay again
Upon arrival there was a dirty towel and robe hanging in the bathroom and left over melted ice in the ice box. Not a huge deal and they remedied it quickly. When we left to go to a show we came back to housekeeping having been in our room which I thought was odd cause we’d only been there a few hours. I had left my purse in the room and I know that housekeeping is supposed to be trustworthy, but had I known they were going to help themselves into the room I wouldn’t have left my purse out wide open.

Loved hotel Nikko. The room was great size, bed super comfortable, everything was modern and well maintained. I stayed there with my 3yo son, and we enjoyed all the facilities, including the pool and jacuzzi. The hotel is in a great location, close to supermarket, restaurants, transport and attractions in downtown - Cable car, Macys, Union Square.
Nothing that I could name.

Hotel Nikko never disappoints. The rooms are clean and well furnished. Everything feels up-to-date and works properly. The staff is kind, professional, and treats guests with courtesy. Every time I returned to my room, I felt relaxed and relieved to escape the bustle of the city.
I just wish the main entrance was accessible, but this is a minor aesthetic point instead of anything impactful. Also, a extremely minor point of feedback is that I wish there was better signage for access to the hotel lounge and restaurant.

Hotel Nikko had absolutely SUPERB service, starting the moment we parked in Valet. My fiance and I were so impressed with everything about our stay here, we will be back! The rooms were comfy, with large bathrooms with robes and slippers. Complimentary waters and a stocked fridge for those who wanted drinks or snacks for a fee. The location was minutes to Union Square, the trolley, bars and restaurants.
The only downside Marijuana wafting in, from people on the streets smoking.

The hotel is in a very Central location. The rooms are equally as nice, if not nicer, than they are in the pictures. Bed is 10 out of 10 for comfort. Bathroom is lovely and clean although towels could be a little bit bigger. Heated toilet seat is an interesting experience. Would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone coming to San Francisco

Heated pool was nice and well maintained and the whole pool area has a nice vibe, location of hotel is nice (close to all nice stores), gym is nice, and staff is very very welcoming and cooperative, especially concierge and cloak room.
AC was not adjustable much. I could not alter the room temperature to a a temperature number of my choice. All I saw were some modes I could set it to which was still fine.

Very polite and friendly staff. It was our 15th wedding anniversary and the staff generously upgraded our room. The room was very spacious and clean with nice amenities. Great location, near everything (it is a few blocks from the tenderloin but we didn’t have any problems).

When you are first dropped off at the Nikko Hotel, you are greeted by the valet, June, who will remember your name and get your luggage from parking all the way to your room---making sure when you get into your room that you’re happy with the room and know how everything functions from the heat and cooling units to the coffee maker. At the front desk you will be greeted by Michael, who will work to be sure you get just the room you want, various charges explained before they are made, all your billing arrangements made---basically making all transparent and comfortable before you’ve even set foot in the room. You are in awe of how he makes you feel taken care of. He will be there when you check out and will also remember your name and will provide advice on restaurants and walking routes.
You are beginning to feel like purring with all this thoughtful service, and then you see the room. The first thing that you notice is that there is a button inside the door for the hall light, to call for housekeeping service, or to indicate that you don’t wish to be disturbed---all very quiet and discrete. The room has wonderful lights on each side of the bed on the wall for a reading light, which can be positioned, and a larger over the side table lamp---both in easy reach on an upper/lower button. There is a safe, coffee and tea making equipment, lovely white bath robes and slippers. The bathroom has both a large mirror and a makeup mirror, and there are full-size lotions, pump hand soap as well as bars of oatmeal soap, shampoo, and conditioner---all of which can be moved from the shower to the bath sink if desired. The lighting is excellent for make up and there are shower caps, cotton balls, and Q-Tip’s. There are thoughtful travel bottles of water to refill during your stay and a delightful “Buster” book of life quotes as a gift for your stay. The décor of the rooms are lovely with blossoms painted on the headboards and blue swirled carpets.
Need a bit more hours (need a morning as well as a after work time) for lap swimming in the pool since the pool is very popular with the kids.
