The hotel maids kept waking me up early in the morning to clean my room as soon as cleaning time began. There was no way I could sleep in for another half hour.

The hotel presented a classy and quiet retreat from the hectic but exciting day I had attending my friend's wedding. The room was appointed with practical yet elevated details. I had everything I needed in the room. Everything else I may have needed was available in the surrounding neighborhood.
Initially, for me, it was a bit difficult to find. But this makes it a hidden gem. Once I realized where I was and got my bearings, It was just like returning home.

Good location, close to Chinatown, central but outside the sketchy area of Tenderloin.
Room is big enough for 2 people, has a locker for bags and jackets. Big bathroom with a tub.
Everything looked ok in the room, not recent but not worn out.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone that needs a central location.
I'm not a fan is the sliding door for the bathroom. Due to its sliding mechanism it does not isolate completely and there is a gap between the door and the wall even when closed. This means the door will not completely isolate noises or maybe unwanted odors.
Also the room door was moving a bit when closed by drafts caused by other people on the outside and can generate some unwanted sounds.
Ice and water dispenser were present only at the lobby level and at a specific floor, they are not available easily on each floor.

The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Facilities were great (lots of towels available), good choices of TV channels (cable). I liked the bathtub design (smaller but shallow enough to lie flat). Hotel offered free access to filtered water dispenser (located on 2 floors of the hotel). It is located right by the entrance of Chinatown and 5-7 mins walk to closest BART station. San Francisco hotels can be a little expensive, it's a little difficult to find a hotel that is reasonably priced, modern, not rundown, and in a safe location. This hotel has exceeded my expectations.
I could sometimes hear very faint water pipe noise from another room, but otherwise the room was very quiet.

Their location is the best! Everything is near. Restos are literally 25 steps away. Shopping area is 25 steps away. It was always raining in SFO when we were there, so if you can't go out to dine, UberEats is very fast just 10mins. Moreover, the entire hotel team was very warm & helpful, special mention to Mr Johnny, he showed extra care to guests, he told me to bring their hotel umbrella as it might rain. And yes, it rained. The hotel umbrella saved the day! We booked a straight stay (10 nights, 2 rooms) even though we went out of town for 3nights, we kept our rooms. We requested for late check out coz our flight was almost midnight, they are very accommodating of our requests. The housekeeping team is cleaning daily, whether you request or not. Microwave is available at the lobby for your leftovers or whatnots. Drinking water at 7th flr.
Nothing much, just petty things like e.g. No free toothpaste, it's surprising for a 4-star hotel. And No hot choco pods for kids, only coffee pods. The rest are great:)

+ No plugs for European power sockets (anywhere, like, not even in the business room)
+ No views - I mean, no view had at any point been promised and I just booked a standard room so no complains but just be prepared that you might get a room with a terrific view to Bush street and the downtown or just a plain wall!
+ Elevators could be cleaned up better and the lobby area, while well kept and functional, doesn't leave up to the good quality of the rooms.
+ No courtesy water (if you offer coffee and a coffee machine, just give me a water bottle so as to avoid pouring in tap water into the machine!)
+ Walls are thin and at times I could heard the neighbours talking (but it didn't prevent me to sleep like a log!)

We went for Lunar New Year's so wanted to stay near Chinatown - this was literally steps from the gate and 2 blocks from the Powell Street Trolley.
Beautiful lobby, easy check-in, bright, clean room with makeup mirror and tub mat. Even though breakfast was not included, a cute little restaurant was located in the lobby with a fair breakfast and a wonderful French BF restaurant across the street.

Cleaning crew to the housekeepers was friendly and professional. The room was clean and spacious, and the location right next to Chinatown is excellent. The gentleman on the morning shift at the counter was also very helpful with our luggage for our late flight.
Check-in was a disaster. MinYi couldn't find my reservation and actually handed me the check-in list with other guests' details to find my own name (where’s the guests privacy?). It was right there on the first page; she simply hadn't looked properly. Throughout my stay, she never once acknowledged us, staying glued to her computer screen.
Even more frustrating, we discovered on our last day that there is a button at the desk to remotely open the front door for guests. The morning shift gentleman used it for everyone, but MinYi never once pressed it for us in four days. Even when I stood directly in front of her to retrieve my luggage, she continued sipping her water until I literally had to say "hello" to get her attention.
Be aware that the street is very busy on weekdays. If you stay here, expect to hear sirens or construction noise at night, though it does quiet down significantly on the weekend.
