Great location, staff were efficient and happy to help, the room was very clean, a good size with a large comfortable bed. It had a little kitchen area, nice bathroom and a good view of the city.
Nothing to do with the hotel but we were woken at 6am every morning by strikers protesting outside other nearby hotels. SFC has gone downhill a bit, it's like the walking dead, shame. The Donatello however exceeded our expectations and was great.

Close to Union Square, cable car, buses and trains. The most comfortable bed I slept in during my 6 week journey.
Unfortunately there was protesting on the street close by every day which disturbed our sleep early every morning. The constant banging on drums, chanting and yelling spoilt our stay. Not the hotels fault. The concierge contact when asking to store our luggage for the day was disappointing and we did not appreciate his abrupt, sarcastic attitude.

Great location, close to Union square, China Town, such a beautiful City. Our room was cosy and comfortable. We enjoyed the views from the roof top and the little amenities were lovely in rooms and in the foyer. Staff friendly and helpful.

The hotel is very well located. There is easy access to cable cars and bus connections. The bed was extremely comfortable and having a microwave oven in the room was great.
The room we had was on the street side. This was very noisy with sirens and there were garbage trucks throughout the night.
The protestors were also quite noisy.

It was great to be able to go to the Club on the roof and have coffee, rad the paper and see what the weather was like.
The room wasn't serviced the first day and the second day they came and took the towels without replacing them. They brought the quickly when I asked, but it was annoying to have to go out to tell them.

Perfect location, big rooms and for San Francisco quite rooms but depends on which side of the hotel. I have stayed in the hotel several times and in many others around the Union Square. Donatello is great for the money.

Spacious rooms with kitchenettes, very comfortable bed, room had dishes and everything we needed including a water pitcher in the fridge to go get complimentary filtered water with. In walking distance to a lot of things. Very nice staff.
Hot tub was nice but a little too much chlorine
Sauna was super nice but you have to have the staff turn it on for you, takes about 15 minutes to get up.
Bathrooms have no fan

Service was quick -- Wonderful staff were pleasant and very helpful. Hotel facilities were fantastic. Bed was comfortable.
With controls in each room set to allow only 67- 73 degrees, the room temperature is far too warm overnight. We woke many times throughout both nights so felt pretty crappy during our daily adventures. Studies show that the ideal room temperature for sleep is anywhere from 60°F to 65°F.

Room was rather large and had a kitchenette.
Rooms were serviced only every other day. Hotel location itself is not great. Many homeless and overall somehow depressing atmosphere. Fire alarm went off in the middle of the night and communication was non existent. Creepy experience. I will look somewhere else for my next stay in San Fran.

The kitchen faucet wasn't securely attached and would spew water when it came off.
From the time we checked in, it was great. The rooms were immaculate. It was a lively atmosphere. We ate lunch near the hotel. There were many restaurants within a short walking distance. It was very convenient to everything.

Exceptional and carbon dating service and staff at an unbelievable location that couldn't be more conveniently located to all of downtowns shopping food nightlife as well as theater and business conventions. I was very pleasantly surprised by the size of the sweets as well as the amenities at the building including a spa gym and a rooftop deck that made for great viewing while also offering snacks and drinks from the attached restaurant for a price that completes it needed by hotels while providing more of the amenities that make it feel like home you couldn't really find much to complain about
Why did you have an attached garage but I can be a little bit of an issue and access to the parking garage and getting back to the suite was a little bit of a hassle the one day that I had a friend visit to explore ing spaces and conference rooms which I hope to do better next time which I hope isn't too far away

There were quite a few homeless people in the blocks around the hotel. This is not the fault of the hotel but did detract from staying in this part of the city.

The staff were amazing. So welcoming, friendly and helpful. They take customer service seriously and are passionate in what they do.
The facilities are wonderful, roof top lounge, jacuzzi, gym, restaurant, free coffee and tea during certain hours, beautiful lobby, games room.
The rooms are spacious, modern and fully equipped with kitchenettes. The huge bed so comfortable.
Nothing at all was a disappointment. I loved everything.

Fantastic staff and location, we brought our son and they put us in a room in the back where it was quieter.
Entrance is a bit confusing with the garage location since it’s on a side street and the directions don’t take you there.
