The front desk staff was so friendly and helpful. The on-site restaurant, Cup Cafe was very convenient, the staff was attentive and efficient and the food was incredible.
The shower was small, had very little pressure and couldn't quite decide if it wanted to give you hot or cold water. I've stayed in enough old hotels to know that's pretty part for the course. Also it is a bar Ina college town and Saturday nights can be a bit loud and rowdy. Biput again par for the course.

I enjoyed the haunted aspect and the lobby was cute!Beds were surprisingly comfortable.
The noise level. It wasnt explicitly stated in the booking.com page. Nothing against the hotel, they were up front when we arrived about it. Kind of ridiculous the hotel can't accommodate parking costs but they were low enough to not be upset. Nightly rate was higher than I anticipated without having any amenities and the noise until 2am. No refrigerator, no microwave.

The king sized bed was very comfortable, pillows were soft, and the large tub was great.
Booking needs to add descriptions of what hotels are like. This hotel doesn't have an elevator so if you have bad knees, good luck getting your bags up two flights of stairs. The food is way overpriced. And the hotel sits in the middle of a party zone til 3 am, which is great if your a 20 something but I'm not.

The vibe, the history behind the whole place, the decor. Beds were comfortable. The floor upstairs and the stairs themselves made my kids a little nervous, and myself considering the creaking, not being level, feeling a few sunken "holes". But, considering the age , it was to be expected.

Location was great for seeing an event at the Club Congress or Rialto
The toilet was very troublesome to flush. I would have to try at least 3 times with every visit to the bathroom. The room has a placard that says they give you 2 cans of complimentary sparkling water. When I asked about it, the staff said they were out of it. But they didn't offer other bottled water as a substitute. You still have to pay for the $5.00 bottle of water in the room's minibar.

Staff members Melissa, Matt & Perry were exceptional. I was able to arrange for the haunted tour with Melissa and it was well worth it. I loved the location downtown, so close to everything, and especially the broadcasting studio in the lobby. Great radio station! The room was comfortable and cute. Also the cactus garden is a nice bonus.
They are very up front about the club downstairs, and the noise level. Some nights, even in the quietest room, you can feel the vibrations of the music until 2am. And for the inner garden rooms, your only view is out into the cactus garden, and if people are out there, it’s like they’re in your room with you.

We enjoyed our stay very much. It was only for one night but everything we needed/ wanted was right there. Restaurant. Bar. Night club. Entertainment. All in one place! We also like the layout of the room and the historical information/ artifacts that was in the hotel.
The restaurant not being open later. We were there for a show at the Rialto and were starving by the time we got back. The restaurant was closed by the time we returned. But, we did eat there in the morning.

Cup Cafe is outstanding, with an exceptional staff.

We loved the old-world charm of the hotel. It was an older place but had plenty of charm and history. Staff was really helpful and accomodating.
The bathroom got a little warm due to the old style and design of the room. You need to leave the bathroom door open for the A/C to help cool it down.

The location was great. We did not see any of the shows, but we heard some of the music and liked the ambiance. This hotel would not be good for someone that did not like music or a funky sense of fun.
The air conditioning could barely keep the room below 80. Granted, there was an extreme heat advisory, and it reached 110 F outside.

The meal we had at Cup Cafe was exceptional.
We booked ahead and it wasn't until we arrived that we were told that it would be loud until at least 2AM and that each room had white noise machine and they offered us ear plugs. The "white noise machine" was, literally, an old radio - not white noise. Also, no TV in the room and the AC did not cool the room well at all. My husband didn't sleep at all and we left just after 6AM to go back home and try to rest. Will never stay again or recommend.

It was one of the MOST HORRIBLE EXPERIENCES IN MY LIFE!! According to hotel management, Booking.com "neglected to warn me" that EXTREMELY LOUD MUSIC WOULD BE BLARING JUST OUTSIDE THE WINDOW from 8 PM to 2 AM. This was SIX HOURS OF TORTURE!

I loved staying here it was 1 night but worth it I recommend the haunted tour too
The restaurant the cup. I went there with a friend for breakfast my friend and I sat down trying to get some food one waiter came by and gave us some Waters and introduced themselves and handed us some knives and forks and stuff like normal. On my waitress came around she introduced herself and I started speaking and she immediately snapped around turned her back to me and addressed the other people beside us who weren't even asking for anything she ignored me the entirety of her standing there and then just walked away just to say my friend and I were very upset by this and just decided to go across the street instead to a local tea shop
